Incredible instrument. I have attained five shot, 50 meter one inch groups (my accuracy challenged fault) with pellets weighing from under 15 grains to several in the 30 grain class. It will hold its own with any other air gun I have. I am one tick away from being an octogenarian, the light weight is appreciated. The clips (I have four) all feed flawlessly, the trigger is absolutely static as to pull (I have not adjusted it), and the vertical range on the buttstock allows many scope/ring combination. Buy one, it is truely a master class capable rifle.
Pros
Professional level accuracy - Entry Level Price
Cons
Not a thing
Had a hard time getting it to take air. Help line had me dry fire while airing to seat the seals. Was able to air it after that.
Pros
I've only shot a small tin of pellets so far, but I like it. Balance feels good, moderator works reasonably well. Light and looks good.
Cons
The instructions, they don't mention the single shot tray and I wish the magnets for the folding stock were stronger. Maybe a mag holder in the stock would be a nice touch
Pros
Very accurate and lightweight, put about 75 pellets through it so far with no issues
Cons
My only concern at this time is the charging method but so far it’s working fine. Also would like if stock was adjustable
It's fun to shoot, not as quiet as I had expected from watching some of the reviews. In person it's a bit louder than anticipated. Not being able to see the regulated shot pressure is also a bummer but for the cost I get it. Overall I'm loving this along with the Monstrum 2-7x32 scope I put on it.
Pros
Nice quality overall and fairly accurate for a low cost PCP. I bought the compact tube version and I've been getting a good 30 shots off on a charge before refilling. I've been plinking at 35 yards with steady groups but haven't dialed in the right pellets yet as I only had some Gamo Rockets (3-4" group, bad!) and H&N Barracudas (2" group, without a rest) on hand. I'll work on getting it dialed in, but I've already cleaned a half dozen Eurasian collared doves all taken within 40-50 yard shots.
Cons
Okay, the M-lok hand rail is way too short, why they didn't make it the length of the tube on the compact model is beyond me. If you add a sling mount it leaves no room for your hand unless you hold it next to trigger or out on the tube making it worthless. UGH, please Air Venturi, read this review and make a longer M-lok hand rail. Also, they need to provide a cap for the quick disconnect fill port because I can't imagine most people are going to be pulling that out all the time, seems like a hassle and extra wear.
I managed hole-in-hole groups at 20 yards with 3, 10 shot groups of each of the following pellets: Crosman Premier hollow point 14.4 gn, Crosman Copper Magnum 14.4 gn, Gamo Red Fire 15.59 gn, H&N Field Target Trophy Power 14.66 gn, and H&N Crow Magnum 18.21 gn. At my backyard distance this particular example of this rifle is not pellet picky. Couldn't be happier with thw results I got after an afternoon of shooting.
Pros
Hole-in-hole accurate at backyard distances (15-20 yards), backyard friendly, extremely smooth action, magazines work great, lightweight, plenty of M-Lok slots, trigger adjustability is great, comically easy to hand pump, AR grip compatible, pic rails on stock are standard size, and finally the esthetics are on point.
Cons
Moving the stock down one set of slots on the pic rail negates the magnetic retention of the stock in the folded position. This will be easily fixed with higher base scope rings so I can return the stock to its intended place on the rails.
This is my first Air Venturi product and also my first PCP out of the 12 I own to arrive not capable of holding air (defective). I really wanted to love my AV Alpha but back to the Umarex Notos I go for now. BTW I’ll definitely be returning my Alpha and hopefully it’ll be fixed or replaced ASAP.
Pros
Feels nice and balanced in the hand. Great disappointment with quality and unable to use upon arrival.
Cons
Will not hold air, some of the screws shows signs of rust, arrived leaking from bottle adapter area. I ordered the compact aluminum bottle version and extremely unsatisfactory quality for the one I received. My AV Alpha is currently nothing more than a useless conversation piece. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED
Magnets ! In all the right places . Folding stock is strong ! So is power ! This doesn't go in the closet ,ever. Very Impressed ! Mags have an index lock ,super smooth cycling with a solid side lever.
Pros
A/G depot was great ! I got it in 5 days ,and what a carbine ! Easy to outfit,& incredible power and accuracy for barrel length.Suppressor is machined & works well ! I love the Notos? But the Alpha is a clear upgrade out of the box. I'm glad I waited ! Happy Shooting !
Cons
Nothing ,& I'm a critic on esthetics/ergonomics/& performance.
You need to buy of these guns you before they are gone.
Pros
Light weight, excellent for walking in the woods and of course I have to say ty for the phone call and everything.
Cons
Could use more pin rails.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product. The listing gives shot counts for the different bottles, but how many of those shots are on the regulator? The standard tube says 30 shots but does the last ten or so drop off the regulator pressure?
asked Roy from USAI have not received the bottle version yet, on b/o. I do have the standard & compact tube versions, I get 24 shots out of compact & 3538 out of standard all regulated then start dropping off.
jason from USAThis looks like a Snowpeak AP1000. Is it essentially the same rifle?
asked James from USAI really dont know because I never own snowpeak AP1000 . But I can tell that I really love this rifle .. I purchased 2 of them .. they are very strong and I love the magazine its so easy to refill it and they are very light
Abdul from USAYes, same rifle, different branding for different markets..
Tony from USAHacen envios a medellin Colombia
asked Germán Alberto Martín from ColombiaPCP guns cannot be shipped to Colombia.
Adam from USACan the Picatinny/Weaver scope rail system be changed out to aluminum Picatinny rails
asked Doug from USAAbsolutely ! Everything on this carbine is modular, but would only change color coating because the bonus is ,it's already aluminum alloy ! The m-lock supports single leg bypods for weight saving economics as well....This Rifle is the jaguar to the Notos in every way ! 874 fps with 18 grn. Out of the box for me ! I have a scope/bipod/torch/& laser to co-witness with room to spare !
Richard from USAWhat pump do I buy too fill it
asked Vincent from USAI don't used pump to air any air guns. I used air tank, like the firefighter carry on their back, to fill it. There are some air compressor machines, like Air Venturi $600 and AEA $900, that u can buy to fill it. It's costly to get into this fun game at the beginning but save money in the long run in bullets cost.
Tim from USAWhat can u hunt with it
asked Juan from USAI agree there ! Medium game requires .25 cal and up with accurate shot placement. The Alpha is coming in at a surprising 28 ft.lbs for my speeds and ammo weight. If you absolutely had to take medium game you could under 10 yards with a well placed head head shot, but the Alpha i'd trust for anything up to 30 lbs. It punches 3/4 ,1x6 at 15 ft. Np.
Richard from USAI am still haven't received the gun yet. I bought this gun just to see how hard and accurate it shoots. But if you want a strong and accurate gun to hunt bigger animals, like deer, coyote, hog etc, I would recommend Western .45 semi or Karma SLS .30
Tim from USA

Pros
The look and feel is great considering the value of the MSRP, it's fairly accurate for the .22 caliber I use. Attachments fit snug on then rails. I don't mind the hidden refill port on the front of the tube. Love the foldable stock with magnet!
Cons
Maybe a little more room on top where the magazines load, it's a little close to my scope but barely has enough clearance to reload effectively.
