The MP-661K “DROZD” (BLACKBIRD) automatic bb machine gun comes with an electric hopper-type loading system!

The Drozd Blackbird is also compatible with our top selling Mock Suppressor Kit that features a fully hardened steel barrel (will last 100 times longer than the original Drozd barrel) and improve accuracy and FPS.

Tired of going through so much CO2? Checkout our new Drozd Blackbird Bulk Fill Kit. Now you can use standard paintball tanks with your Blackbird and trust us you need this accessory.

At Airgun Depot, we are the top-selling vendor of the Biakal Drozd on the internet. Our customers have been calling us for information on the new Drozd Blackbird for months, making this one of the most highly anticipated airgun releases in some time. If you are looking for a CO2 powered bb gun that shoots automatically and has a built in 200-round bb magazine, then wait no more! It is a fantastic airgun for plinking and fun. The MP-661K Drozd Blackbird can employ various power sources: Use 3- 12-gram CO2 cartridges or a larger capacity 88 gram CO2 cylinder. The hopper-type super-high capacity magazine accommodates up to 200 metal BBs in caliber 4.5 mm (.177). The integrated electronic switch easily brings the pistol from a single-shot to automatic mode of operation. Add to this selective rate of firing of 300 or 450 or 600 rpm.

A misprint in the manual states that this is a 200 round hopper when it is infact a 400 round hopper.

Due to new government regulations, all Baikal Drozd feature an orange barrel or tip.

Neat, but...
I debated on this gun for a VERY long time. I finally decided to make the purchase and so far I really enjoy it. However I'm not entirely in love with it for a few reasons. The first is the Co2 consumption- this thing will empty the three 12 gram adapter in far less than 100 rounds. Even on the 3 round burst at 450 rpm it just doesn't have the guts to fire more than 50bbs into a cardboard box 20 feet away. After the first 20-25 rds I'd say every third just literally rolls out of the barrel. I switched over to the 88 gram tanks via the provided adapter and had even worse results. On top of that it was blowing out so much raw Co2 that it was impossible to have any kind of reasonable target acquisition, seriously, an opaque white cloud blowing out of the barrel. I purchased the bulk fill hose adapter and refillable bottle that kind of makes the much larger bottle a type butt stock and this has given me a quite a bit more shooting time (maybe 1500 or so rounds). Overall, I'm in about 425 bucks and not really thrilled about it. If you have cash to blow this can be "neat" one for the collection, but if you're just air gunner looking for bang for your buck keep looking.
The second reason is the accuracy, but hey, it's bb gun.
The third is that it is plastic. Plastic, plastic, plastic...
ProsNeat toy, convertable, upgradable
ConsPrice, co2 consumption, plastic body and magazine, accuracy (less than 30ft)

Bumble bee on steriods
This gun is awesome. I bought the original bumble bee when it came out, which i loved, but i disliked the constant bb/co2 reload. The Blackbird solved all the problems with the bumblebee. They say it holds 400 rnds, but i counted and i swear to this it holds 1030 bbs.(i didnt really count them i weighed the bbs then divided by the weight of a bb.)Just load the hopper, plug in the mag and power on the gun so the mag cycles and loads the bbs to the top of the mag, then top off the hopper again, remember the hopper has 2 chambers the large main one and the small one. The bulk air adapter is a MUST. Dont waste your money on disposable co2, you will go broke trying to feed this beast. 1 20oz paintball tank=47 co2 cartrages and only cost $4 to fill. Get the extended barrel if you can afford it, its well worth it for the extra power and accuracy. i was getting about 1/4 inch penetration into plywood at 10 yds. My only complaint is the external mag power wire, it is very thin and seems like it could get snagged and torn. A direct connection would have been much better and look more streamlined, however it is by far the most fun/destructive bb gun i have ever had, the build quality and electronic fire controls are first rate. There are plenty of mods and support on the web with tips and tricks to get even more power, check out No other bb gun even comes close. This is the cream of the crop. 9.5 out of 10(Loses half a point for mag power wire.)

Blackbird is Great!
You have to get one!!!I have my blackbird set up as it came stock and added the bulk fill and 2-20 oz tanks.
Anybody get a problem with no fire., they should check for a errant bb stuck to the Solenoid magnet. It seems bbs fall out of the magazine as you insert it and they can fall inside the rear case and get stuck to the solenoid... I saved myself a lot of trouble ,spent time thinking about how to fix it and figured it out because this gun is so well built. The solenoid is oversize, looks like it could do a lot more.I was able to hear bbs inside the case of the gun where the solenoid is...I shook it and when 2 fell out I thought all was well. But 1 was still stuck to the magnet .The gun would not fire! Everything seemed to work, you could hear the stuff clicking..S0, I jarred the gun to dislodge it from(( I thought was the case) and it was free! You have to be care full about this. BB's fall out and get in there 2 times now! now keeping the gun upright while inserting the magazine is the way to do it I suppose...Anyway, It needs a longer barrel. It seems very fun to shoot anyway. I drill out any target I use, it is awesome. Will go through cans like butter, shreds them. Just pull the trigger repeatedly to simulate full auto... and it is destructive! If I could afford it I would get both barrels so you have a carbine and a rifle! This is a Russian built special weapon and is worth having .
I use rechargeable New generation 4 Batteries. and Lithium batteries. Im going to set it up with a external battery so I can bump the voltage! Thanks Airgun Depot!

Drozd Blackbird = AWESOME
I bought this gun recently and know that it is a great gun with lots of good times to be had! My son and I have not been able to put it down since we received it! We purchased the Blackbird from air gun depot, great service, fast delivery!
The stated 400 round magazine capacity is inaccurate, I counted every BB as I put them in and it holds 1000 BB's!!! Since I bought my Blackbird I have a Mock Suppressor, AR-15 Stock, Bulk Air Setup and a Mod Chip from to achieve a total of 1200 rounds per minute at fully automatic with 800-1000 feet per second depending on CO2 or HPA bulk air…. This is by far the most fun and best air gun I own and my son and I have a great time shooting together and having contests with shooting targets and add up the points for scoring...
Stock out of the box I was able to shoot through 1 side of a 1 gallon paint can and dent the other side from 25’. After adding the Mock Suppressor I was able to shoot through both sides of the can from 25’! If you want to buy this gun and get the most from it, don’t bother with 88 gram CO2 or smaller, go bulk air with CO2 to save the most money or bump it up to HPA and get more FPS, (about 100 FPS), but less shots off… Get all the upgrades available, including the chip!
My calculations are that with an 88 gram CO2 cylinder you get about 500 shots off, only 250-300 that are accurate and actually have enough power to do anything… With a 20oz. CO2 bottle I have already got 1000 shots off and expect to get about 3000-4000 rounds off minimum that are accurate and about 5000 total out of the bottle, that is ALOT of BB’s being shot hard and accurate!
Also, I just purchased a [Weaver Rail (22 mm) for Smith & Wesson Airgun Revolver] for my Blackbird. I taped the mount to the stock with the 2 screws facing the front of the gun and drilled with a 5/64†drill bit just barely into the stock. Then I pulled off the mount and marked the drill bit for depth with a sharpie and only drilled with the 5/64†drill bit ¼†deep. Then I tapped the plastic with a 4-40 tap the same ¼†depth. I then installed 2 new 4-40 stainless steel screws purchased from my local hardware store with the mount to secure it. Then I installed my Leapers Deluxe Picatinny Foldable Metal Bipod-Steel Stand to the new mount and OH-YEH, we got a bipod mounted to this bad boy!!!
Bottom line, Lots of aftermarket hop up options, get them all, add the bipod if you wish and you wont regret it!!!

Awesome BB Machine Gun
I bought this gun a while back and I love it. The magazine capacity is huge. It seems like it will shoot forever before running out of bb's. Since I bought my blackbird I have since added an aftermarket barrel, bulk air setup and a BBMax mod chip from drozdmax this gun is now the best airgun I own. An absolute blast to shoot. My son loves it too.

WOW - This is a FUN gun
Purhased the Blackbird from airgundepot. Fast delivery. No problems.
This gun is a hoot to shoot. I've gone through about 5000 BBs with no problems. It does eat thru the gas. I don't really keep track, but I think you get full load of 400 BBs on single cylinder which is a lot of auto blasting. Good power. And plenty accurate at 20-25 feet. I put on a Red Dot scope and it blast out a half inch bullseye in a 6 round burst.
Lots of aftermarket hop up options. Buy one. You won't regret it.

lots of fun
I bought this gun at christmas for my son. It was a lot of fun when we got it and did not take long to figure out we needed a large co2 tank and adapter. We an adapter online for about $45 and a 24 ounce co2 tank. We get about 6000 shots per tank.

The weapon is not very accurate but anyone shooting BB's knows that is to be expected.

If you want to have real fun buy a full auto chip and new barrel. The chip is cheap $40.00 the barrel is about $95. I enjoy this gun more than my son. In fact I have more fun shooting this think than any weapon I own, Have fun its a blast.

Co2, Co2!
This is a cool gun, with its cool rapid fire ability, but its just the constant tank change out! I recomend that you just go look at another gun if you dont like constantly buying co2. but if youre a patient person this might just work for ya!

More than just a bb gun!
Just go to MP661k boards to get the most out of your gun. My blackbird has a 15" barrel tatical barrel, running hpa, and adjustable rpm on full auto up to 1200rpm shooting 850fps. Enough said! :)

Very nice gun. Solid feel. Eats through CO2 very quickly, especially at 600 rounds per minute / 6 round bursts. Uses three 12 g CO2 cylinders or one 88 g cylinder. I have been using the 3 12 g cylinders and recently ordered six 88 g cylinders. I hope using 88 g will reduce the constant swap out for new cylinders (3 - 12 g). Anyway, still a good auto gun, powerful, solid and good feel to it. I have the walther red dot site and using it makes the gun fairly accurate.

5* gun 4* setup
what a great gun, built great!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only issue is how fast you fly through the co2, there needs to be a bulk air tank adapter included, so a 9 oz tank will fit. 3- 12 gram co2 tanks can be gone in less than a min. love the gun. buy one today you will have a blast!!!!

fun gun with some flaws
Ive had my gun for only 2 day. Which I got for xmas. Right off the bat I can tell you about the bad stuff, cause everyone wants to hear the bad stuff. Accuracy on this gun suffers a bit right out of the box. From about 20ft I can get 8 out of 10 BBs in the vicinity of each other in about a 1 inch radius. Any further than that it’s a crap shoot. Other problems im having with my fresh gun is when I point the gun towards the ground some BB’s fall out of the barrel and this happens on more than one occasion. The last problem im having is that when I actually shoot the gun on semi auto mode sometimes more than 2 BB’s are fired from the gun. Ive found out that this is a common problem with the Blackbird gun per good sources of Blackbird owners. These sources tell me that the magazine is the cause and of course isn’t the greatest. Now on to the good stuff. THIS IS THE FUNNISET GUN I HAVE EVER OWNED, HANDS DOWN!! Even with the problems. I wouldn’t think twice about not buying it even though it did cost me an arm and a leg. A tactical feel of the gun along with the fun factor of shooting it, nothing else comes close. When I shoot this gun the feeling of running and ducking while under enemy fire comes across my mind. It give me the realistic feel of combat even when im all by myself. All and all two thumbs up for this gun! Go out and buy one! AGD found one for me on a very short notice and got it to me just in time for xmas. Thanks AGD!

Fun Gun
If you're looking to have fun this is your gun. It's the gun we dreamed about as kids. Be sure to pick up the bulk adapter you'll save money in the long run plus it just adds to the fun not having to reload co2 so much because you will go through them. I had a small problem with mine that required me to send it back to eaa corp. - they have to do all repair/warranty work. Eaa will not respond to emails and kept my gun over 50 days before I was finally forced just to ask for my money back and they are just plain rude on the phone. It is a nice gun and I'll go ahead and reorder and I'll order through Airgun Depot as they have great customer service.

Update: Nice & fun gun, one problem
Update to my previous review: unfortunately 1.5"x0.5" Earth Magnets did not do the job, but luckily 10" Hemostat did it. Be careful when placing the AAs in battery compartment, those can easily (s)tuck in.

Nice & fun gun, one problem
I was a bit skeptical about this gun, but I have to say Russians/Baikal have made a very fun gun. It is definitely not the most accurate, which is a pity, but shooting with Blackbird is entertaining. However, I have encountered one huge problem. The battery compartment is very tight. I have one battery tucked in each side, and I cannot get them out. Shaking does not help, so I have ordered few super strong earth magnets from eBay to get them out of the compartment. I hope the magnets will solve my problem. If I ever get out I will tape the batteries together next time, when I put them in. I recommend you to get Airgun Depot's mock kit. It looks ten times better than the factory fake, and probably improves accuracy and fps. Furthermore, the Walther PS22 red dot looks very nice on it. Also Leapers CQBs would be great choices. Buy bigger 88g Co2s, Daisy BBs, shooting safety glasses, and get a case. I will give 4 stars. -1 for too tight battey compartment, fair accuracy, and also BB mag feels a bit too loose. All in all, great fun. If you are looking for great and fun airguns. Get a Blackbird, get a Beretta CX4, get a Gamo CFX, and get a Talon SS. Get good scopes too: Bushnell, Leapers, Walther, BSA...

Problem with Barrel
After firing the gun for only about 12 times the tip of the gun's mock suppressor has a chunk blown off. The return policy makes you go to the manufacturer who doesn't answer the phone and the voice mail is full. Not a good sign! The gun is a blast to shoot but goes through the Co2 super fast!! Would like to see how David Campbell has connected the bulk Co2 tank because that is the only way you could fire 600 rounds! The 12 gram and 88gram Co2 disposable cartridges won't do it!

great fun!!
This is a great fun big boy toy!
Plan on buying plenty of co2, this eats through the 12g
with a big appetite. I plan on modding this to big air asap.
Then this will be truly fun. it is great, but the constant
co2 change out does dampen it a bit.
Still, a must buy for airgun fans.

What a bargin!
Looking at the "standard DROZD, just adding the suppressor/barrel kit would cost more than the Blackbird! You would still only have 30 shots versus 200 shots! 360fps versus 541fps! and still would not have all of the various power sources! What a bargin. I gotta get one of these!

Drozd has always been the leader in full auto BB fun. Now with 400 round hopper to boot!

This will not disappoint, I am quite sure! Lemme also mention that AGD here beats pyramid air's price for this sleek new machine!

when you expect to be available - Drozd Blackbird?

I am sorry but this gun was discontinued by the manufacturer. we won't carry it anymore.

What kind of durability, is this gun going to hold up or be wishing I would have spent the money on a shrink for trying out another sub machine BB gun. If I'm going to shell out the bucks I want to know that this gun will last.
