Excellent aftermarket combo kit from AirgunDepot!
October 22, 2015
I have been using air guns for the last 35 years, and today's models are far superior to those of old. As for this Benjamin Trail NP2, now that i have broken it in, it to exceeds all expectations. The aftermarket Center Point 4 X 16 with 40 mil. A.O. is awesome, and i believe needed for this air rifle. I'm grouping quarters at 40 yards, and believe it will even do better than that. The power is awesome as well. I live in the country, and have lots of varmints, so a good pellet gun was needed. Boy what a selection to choose from, so I spent a few days on the internet reviewing the 2015 air gun reviews, watching professionals shoot differing makes and models within the price range i wanted to spend. The Benjamin Trail got my vote, and now that i have it, i'm very pleased with it.
ProsStill made in America. Very accurate. Very powerful. A fine hunting and varmint control rifle.
ConsThe combo I choose was the real wood stock version. It is heavy. The sound baffle connects to the barrel via plastic connections.....machined aluminum would have been better in my opinion.

Fantastic Gun.

Deliberated a while on this purchase and was tempted to purchase the .22 Benjamin Marauder PCP, but the inconvenience of refills brought me back to the Trail NP2. So glad I did as this version is definitely an improvement over my four year old Benjamin Titan .22; easier cocking, better trigger mechanics, quieter, improved scope with this combo package, great knockdown power for squirrels. Took me a while (40+ pellets) to sight in partially due to the new more powerful scope with more fine tuning options and my perfection desire. Bottom line, this is a great combo package and worth the $300+ purchase.

Great 22 Cal. Air Gun
May 6, 2015
Researched 22 cal. air guns for 3 days on line. Decided on purchasing a Benjamin Trail NP2 Air Rifle Combo after finding several excellent details. This rifle has great knock down power well over 60-70 yards for pests, such as squirrels and woodchucks. The up-grade scope is an excellent addition, and is easy to sight-in with great accuracy. Very tight shot pattern at 30 yds. with heavy duty lead pellets well under the break - in requirement of 250 shots. The Nitro assisted spring piston is very quiet with no noticeable recoil. There is absolutely no shot noise from the barrel using the heavy duty lead pellets. The only noticeable noise you will hear is from the piston when firing a round, which does not sound like a fire arm discharge in any way. This gun is without question the most powerful, accurate, and quiet air rifle that I could find, which can be discharged at any time without alarming my neighbors. This rifle also has an upgraded two stage trigger that can be adjusted, but is really pretty good right out of the box. I purchased this air rifle for primarily residential pest extermination and would highly recommend this gun for the reasons previously expressed. Great break barrel gun for the money!!!

It a nice gun

I have been enjoying this rifle for a few months now and am happy with it. Its accurate, and over all good quality. The only thing that I am not happy with it is the union from the suppressor to the barrel, it's plastic and if you slightly over tighten it you split that plastic. It has not diminished the functionality of the air rifle but it's not the quality I was hoping for. I have looked for an up grade or a replacement but have not found one yet.

Great little gun!
March 14, 2015
I recently purchased the Benjamin Trail NP 2 with the hardwood stock and the upgraded scope and sling package. The first one I received was defective so AGD sent me a new one. This one shot nice right out of the box and is just getting more accurate as I shoot more pellets through it. It is pretty easy to cock, is powerful and can shoot one ragged hole at 20 yards every time. The upgraded scope is nice though the sling is junk. The barrel shroud does move if you grab and twist it when you are cocking the barrel as some reviews have said. Overall this is a really fun gun to shoot and I have no doubt this will be a squirrel killing machine this fall! It would have been nice to have a stock more like the one on the trail XP but this one is pretty cool looking too.
ProsAccurate, powerful and cool looking.
ConsFirst one was defective but the replacement is a nice shooter.
