Colt Python BB Revolver

CO2
  • Code: 2254032 · .177 · 400 fps
Out of Stock
One of the most desired revolvers is now available as a CO2 BB gun. Pick it up and you'll swear you're holding the firearm. The working ejector rod- the use of cartridge shells, the full barrel underlug and swing-out cylinder really bring this to life. Gun writers and firearm historians describe the Colt Python as the "Rolls Royce of Colt revolvers" and "the best revolver in the world." If they held the CO2 version of this famous revolver they'd probably describe it in the same terms. Just wait til you shoot it. You'll never want to stop! Extra cartridges and an extra speedloader are available so you can load up before you go to the range. The Colt Python CO2 BB revolver is compatible with Dan Wesson brand revolver shells, however you'll notice a drop in velocity due to the smaller size of the Dan Wesson shells.

This is a heavy revolver that is fully functional. It has enough power with a new CO2 cartridge to blast all the way through a steel can. It won't fire lead balls though. The speedloader is a must. After firing a gun with a clip or magazine, rapid firing isn't as easy.

Pros
rigid construction, looks, accurate replica of the .357

Cons
the speed loader is a must, it takes a while to get the BB's in the cartridges, and the cartridges will slip out

This would be a real treat both for eyes and hands for all the revolver lovers. A real revolver fan cant just leave this one even while sleeping. I have been a proud owner of this for 8 months and till date I keep admiring the shape, looks, weight and accuracy of this revolver. The grips are so comfortable that one do not feel the actual weight while shooting. I get around 350 to 390 fps. Adjustable rear sights helps you make the gun more accurate. The carbon from the CO2 keeps settling on the hammer area and the inner barrel. But its very easy to clean and polish with little oil. I never used the speed loader as I insert the BBs in to the shells from the front side of them while the shells are in the drum. This saves more time and gives no distractions. One best collections I have till date.

Pros
Easy to load BBs. Comfortable grip. Easy cocking. Accuracy at its best at 10 Mtrs range. Gives a real gun feeling.

Cons
May be in future, but nothing as of now.

Beautifully made bb revolver. Very accurate at 20 feet I love to shoot aluminum cans and plastic bottles with it in my basement against a soft pine backstop!

Pros
All metal great looking gun! The brass shells look great and work well. The CO2 cartridge loading is very nice with the hex key.

Cons
NONE

Just came in from plink'n around, this is a TWO hand gun. Very heavy but made well. Needed some oiling I use a teflon lube on all my new guns as well as this one which has a lot of moving parts. (Never lube plastic parts) Its mechanics where mighty crisp and tight before lube but now its operation is smooth as butter. It has a realistic 5 star grip and 5 star finish. I gave 4 stars because of the work it was to load being a revolver. JUST SPOILED I GUESS. But don't forget those extra shells i'm ordering mine now.

Pros
REALISTIC,GREAT FINISH,NICE TRIGGER, FAIR ACCURACY WITH ADJUSTMENTS.

Cons
NOT!

why only a 90 day limited warranty, poor quality?

asked JOHN MAAKESTAD

can i put pellet shells in this?

asked Randy from USA

Is the Cylinder stop that keeps the cylinder in line with valve plastic? Is it wearing down? The one on my Dan Wesson wore out so Im hesitant to buy this one.

asked Yvens from USA

Mines hasn't weared down

Benjamin from USA

No its not plastic, its a metal stop. Once its cocked, the cylinder or drum doesnt move. except the grips everything else is metal and its solid. I suggest you to go ahead and buy this revolver as this the best revolver I ever had.

Kiran from India

The cylinder stop ( which punches the mouth of cylinder and holds it) is metal. But the outer surface of the mouth of cylinder aligns with a plastic or polymer material which holds and gives a firm support to the cylinder stop and cylinder. I like the way it's designed, as there is no chances of wastage from cylinder, also it gives more fps. If you observe the magazine of m1911 umarex, one can get a more clear picture out of it. One more advantage of this designed is, the cylinder doesn't move once it's screwed as the cylinder holds it in such a way that the cylinder can rotate unless it's unscrewed.

Kiran from India

Does it shoot pellets?

asked Nick

The bras, with plastic tip are only for BB's You need to buy the `12(only)brass shells. They are the ONLY ones that have tip the unscrews, then you can insert a pellet on and then screw to top back on. Have to that with all loads you want to use. I have bought two 12 packs,, and 2 speed loadesr, and they work great. The ones they show with the brown tip, I trashed, as I did not buy it for that BB use/.

Bob from USA

No. Only steel BB's

is the colt python a new 2014 airgun?

asked David

YES Released 2014 also in chrome.

matthew from USA

I think it is. Based on Umarex catalog. The item# matches what airgundepot has.

NOLAN from USA

The description mentions picking up an extra speed loader and extra shells but they are not offered under ammo. Are they available?

asked J. R. from USA

They are available at the other big online seller. Don't try the Dan Wesson shells as a loss in velocity has been reported. Available as a 6 pack with a speedloader.
