Overall this is a nice break barrel- not a high end break barrel but good for the money. can take birds, chippys, and squirrels but I wouldn't go bigger than squirrels at the 177 caliber. Pretty accurate gun but difficult to get amazing groups because of crappy trigger. The 2nd stage on the trigger is way too long and way to difficult to pull, and since it takes the pellet a good .03 seconds or so to leave the barrel, often I jerk the trigger and am left with an inaccurate shot, but that's picky stuff. For an $80(sale) break barrel this is great and plenty accurate and powerful enough to shoot squirrels. Pellets I'd recommend are Crosman's- they shoot their own brand the best which is true for most brands. Hunting I'd go premier hollow point plinking, I'd go dome tipped Crosman's. scope on it is not great- but fits the guns accuracy and range well.
good for the price
a little bit picky for the price, but a jerky trigger

Crosman Quest 1000 excellent air rifle
March 12, 2013
Pretty good rifle. Very accurate and it hits hard. I love the stock and it is very well build. Might be a little heavy for some youngsters but it is a very, very good rifle. For the price, it is excellent. I use Crosman Hollow point and Beeman Coated pellets and I have had very good accuracy. I didn't have any problem with the scope but I just decide to buy something better: Barska 3-9x40. I can tell you, it is a real beast rifle and excellent for small game hunting and plinking. I hope my review helps others looking for a cheap, good, and accurate air rifle. Shoot carefully and always follow the safety instructions. Enjoy it and have fun.
The sock design, accuracy, and power.
