The fore arm grip that is used for the pump action is too flimsy. If your not careful you pull the fore arm right off. It doesn't take alot to do it. It does not like the high performance raptor pellets. they are smaller and just don't seem to fit in the magazine right and they seem to jam. I bought 4 paks of them at 8.99 a pak, and threw them away.

Gamo CO2 Extreme
January 11, 2011
Bought this for my son. I haven't really shot it just to see how accurate it is, so I am not sure, but everything works fine. I put a little Pelgunoil on the CO2 bottle and the O ring that seals it and it still has lots of gas after a week. A bit tricky to change the cylinder the first couple times, but it works fine and the pump works fine. Happy with it. I would buy it again.

gamo extreme

Well i got the gun as a christmas gift and i immediatly tried it out. The gun is pretty simple to load and install the co2 cartridge. Forearm slides off easily and co2 cartridge easily screws into place. Forearm is then slide back over the cartridge. The 10 rnd rotary magazine is released when the forearm is pumped all the way back and a small lever is pulled backward. The gun fires pretty hard as i blew thru some pretty heavy fruit cans. The sighting was off but its easily adjusted by the front sight screw. The grouping at 15 ft was pretty good, about the size of a half dollar. Didnt get as many shots as expected but i think it was due to the cold weather, 50 degrees. All in all a decent gun. A little heavy with the co2 cartridge and maybe to heavy for a woman or young boy. I felt the rifle sighted in great. I have yet to install the scope. Only thing id improve on would be the price. Id have to say it should sell for around $199.00 A fun rifle though.

very disappointed!
November 9, 2010
The first one I got was a lemon -- low velocity. Although I was disappointed by this, I know that a lemon will come down the pike from time to time. To airgundepot's credit, they took care of the problem; they even paid for the shipping for the lemon's return to them! When I got the replacement, I thought my problems were over but they weren't. The new one didn't have the low velocity issue, BUT -- like the lemon -- it jams a lot. I've tried different things with the clip, with the way I load the pellets, nothing seems to be a permanent solution. I can hardly shoot an entire clip without any problems. Most often the problem is that the gun fires (gas is released) but the pellet stays in the clip. And btw, the pellets do not fit flush inside the (PLASTIC) clip, like they do in my (WONDERFUL) Walther P88 pistol (which uses METAL clips). The most serious problem is when the gun jams such that you cannot pull back on the forearm grip to cock the rifle or try to take the clip out. If you insist on buying this rifle, here's the solution to that: the problem is that somehow the clip moves a tiny bit (maybe 1mm) out of the gun. With your left hand, pull back on the forearm grip. Keep pulling back while your right hand gently pushes the clip back into the rifle. Jiggle the clip if you have to; it will move ever so slightly. Now you can pull the forearm grip back all the way, push what they call the "rotary magazine" (it's a lever) forward, and remove the clip. I see that this item is currently "out-of-stock." Good riddance! Kudos to airgundepot for quickly (and at no cost) resolving the "lemon" issue. Gamo, in my book, gets LOW marks for disappointing me -- not once -- but TWICE with the same (POS) model rifle! From now on I will steer clear of any airguns or rifles made by Gamo, and I advise you to do the same.

How many shots can you get from the 88 gram at 700 fps. That's important to me because the darn things are
expensive. Thank you.

By Jeffrey from knoxville, IA on January 23, 2012

I have only shot about 300 rounds so far and still on the same 88g cartridge.
By Conor from Sunnyside, WA on February 8, 2012

You can probably shoot like 200 shots with the POI being the same.
