The Gamo Wildcat Whisper Air Rifle uses Gamo's IGT (Inert Gas Technology) gas piston to launch pellets for faster, more consistent shots. Gas piston pellet guns are smooth cocking, function in cold weather, and last longer than metal spring powered guns. Shooting a .177 PBA Platinum alloy pellet at 1350 fps makes this an ideal pellet gun for hunting small game and pest control. A 4x32mm airgun scope allows you to pick-off small, hard-to-see targets. Gamo's noise-muting Whisper Technology, with a double integrated noise dampener, makes the Wildcat ultra quiet, reducing the risk of spooking animals and increasing your opportunities of hitting multiple pesky targets. The Gamo Wildcat Whisper Air Rifle combines maximum performance with all-weather durability featuring a tough all-weather synthetic stock.

Good beginners break-barrel rifle.

Pros
Once the scope that came with it was dialed in (took a while), showed to be very accurate.

Cons
Whisper...not really. Still scares things away.

Pros
Bought this not really knowing much about Gammo. Had a Diana RWS 48 for decades that was spot on. The Gammo is of course lighter which I like, and have no problems any of the gun's mechanisms. Little on the loud side but that's ok. Better results with RWS 8.4 gr pellets than Crossman 7.9. Scope is ok for the price but takes time to adjust or zero in. Scoped at twenty yards and is accurate over 40. Overall pleased with knocking squirrels out of trees in my yard.

Cons
Better grade scope which of course increases cost of the rifle.

Pros
I have now owned this gun for a few years and I can say this Gun is a tack driver and hits hard But I would only recommend it for plank shooting unless you a good shot and take head shots only. My biggest suggestion with this gun would be to buy a new scope because the gamo scope will not hold a zero and will eventually break after a outing or two! Gamo will replace under warranty but after two breaking from sheer kick alone it wasn’t worth going back a third time.

Cons
Scope needs to be replaced with a better one because the gamo scopes are as bad as they come

Break action is a little slow for shooting vermin in your yard but powerful and accurate to do the job in one shot if you are skilled and not rushed. A challenge for junior shooters to cock, seniors no problem, setting up the scope takes a lot of time and patience. Open sites would be a nice addition to the scope.

Still cannot sight scope in any closer than a 4 in. group at 25 yrds. Gun Is great and unlike some of the other reviewers I knew it would be as loud as a 22lr when moving at 1300 fps. Looking for a much better scope.

Pros
Power

Cons
Weight and scope.

Great air rifle. This is my first air rifle so I can't really compare it to others. Not as quiet as I thought it would be but still relatively noiseless compared to the firearms I own. I bought it to hit critters and scare the turkeys that have been terrorizing my land. Hit a turkey from over 50 yards yesterday without even having sighted in the scope. Scared it and its friends. Very happy with my purchase.

I’ve had the luxury of shooting the varmiter and the wildcat whisper both are great air rifles sighted in 15 min tops with scopes that came with them decent although they were timid at first but once I hit the mark they are both tack drivers at 40 to 50 yards with a 7.9 gr pellets I couldn’t believe the accuracy. Wow!!!!

Pros
For the money one of the best on the market

Cons
None now

asked Nik from USA

OK, the scope is terrible. Who has suggestions on a quality and affordable scope for this gun?

asked Heath from USA

I got an inexpensive utg 4 x 32, but that did not solve the accuracy problem until getting a scope mounting kit with alignment and lapping bars. Now after mounting everything to torque, I'm finally doing a quarter-size group at 20 yards. It took a several shots once I had it mounted and following all procedures for it to stabilize.

Duff from USA

Look at the Leapers/UTG line of scopes.

Hi all :), I'm looking to buy a pellet gun to use mostly for hunting. I'm going to mostly be using it to kill rabbits, wild pigs, birds, and kangaroos. The guns I'm looking at to kill these animals are the Camo Big Cat 1250, Gamo Whisper Silent Cat, 177 cal and the Gamo Wildcat Whisper. Which one of these would have the most power, accuracy and being able to shoot far distances? Please only comment if you know what you're talking about because I really only want an expert opinion as these are a pest to me making a living as I live on a farm. Thanks Sam

asked Sam
