What an unbelievable copy of the Tsarist Russian army's 19th-century revolver developed by Belgians Leon and Emile Nagant. This firearm version was later used by the Soviet soldiers after the 1917 revolution. Each cartridge holds one steel BB and the cartridges are loaded singly through a loading gate. Speedloaders were not used and that's how soldiers reloaded their guns in the heat of battle!

Whether or not you're a history buff and like historically interesting guns, you will marvel at this revolver every time you pick it up. It looks and feels "right"!

The manufacturer writes on the box that your Nagant revolver has a velocity of 328 fps. The manual states a velocity of 360 fps. Airgun writer Tom Gaylord did some testing and found these speeds to be very low. In single-action mode, he got a high of 403 fps with Daisy zinc-plated steel BBs, with an average of 390 fps. In double-action (using Daisy BBs), he got a high of 396 fps, with an average of 386 fps.

Gletcher Nagant Revolver Features
  • Black finish
  • Repeater
  • Uses a 12-gram CO2 cartridge
  • 7rd cylinder
  • Full-metal body
  • Double- and single-action
  • Fixed front and rear sights
  • 5.50 lbs. trigger-pull in single-action- 8.80 lbs. trigger-pull in double-action
  • Textured grips
  • Includes 7 realistic cartridge shells (each holds 1 steel BB)

Steel BBs can ricochet. The shooter and everyone in the shooting area should wear safety glasses when a gun is being handled (even if it's unloaded). Remember to remove all pets from the area as rebounding ammo can hit them too. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (including metal targets) or water as that increases the chance of ricochet.

A beautiful replica of highest quality!
I actually own the real thing. It is a quality gun from 1929, but ammunition is hard to come by. I have about 100 bullets left so I hate to use them very often. This Gletcher Nagant is so accurate that it is difficult to tell them apart. The real Nagant is more crudely made than the Gletcher which is beautifully finished. at 25 feet I can easily place all seven shots within the bull's-eye area. That is amazing for a BB gun. I purchased an extra set of shells just so that I could load them, but you do not actually need them as you can push the BBs in the shells without unloading them from the gun.
Pros Extremely high quality manufacturing. Very accurate. Very true to the original gun. Even fits in my original Nagant holster.
ConsNone that I can think of so far. I have shot about 100 BB's through this gun without any problems whatsoever. And again the accuracy is very consistent.

My Favorite Shooter!
I loved this little guy right out of the box! I was surprised at the size; I was expecting something the size of the Webley MKVI - another of my favorite shooters. The resemblance is remarkable until you place them side-by-side. The most obvious differences are the break barrel vs side loading, the shape of the grip, and of course, physical size. I was impressed by the quality of the weapon; having never seen an original, I cannot attest to authenticity. However, judging from pictures it appears a faithful replica. Accuracy is quit good at 10 yards. I normally shoot single action; my accuracy is better. CO2 economy is good. The seven shot cylinder and the interesting loading gate make it unique among revolvers. Seven shots - quite an advantage in it's day when most every one else had a six-shooter Another similarity to the MKVI is the use of the lanyard ring to seat the CO2 cylinder; a real plus for arthritic hands. I purchased extra revolver shells, so I have 21 rounds between reloads.
ProsAs stated above.

A fine revolver
This is a very nice representation of the Belgian/Russian Nagant M1895. This revolver is steeped in history. Beyond the roll it played as the standard issue revolver in the Russian Imperial Army the M1895 was a 'gas seal' revolver. It's worth doing a little research into this to understand it's uniqueness. The NGT does not fully reflect this action, however the loadable cartridges do represent the design of the originals. In all other manner the NGT functions as the original including the functional removal of the seven [yes seven] shot cylinder.

I am a huge fan of these historic reproductions. It is really nice to see the trend and I'm positive the airgun collector's world will greet them positively.
ProsAttention to detail, the fit and finish, accurate as can be expected. When inserting the BB in the tip of the cartridge there is a positive snap to it, knowing the BB is properly in place. Totally unobtrusive installation of the Co2 cylinder.
ConsI would have liked to see a bit more of a durable finish on the black model in general and particularly on some of the smaller parts. With use I can see wear-off might be a slight issue.
