The Hatsan AT44 QES gives you both high performance and lower noise. It's an upgrade over the older AT44 with an integrated moderator and Hatsan's QuietEnergy technology. You'll get speeds up to 970 fps and power up to 49 fpe (in the .25 long version), which is great for pesting or small game hunting, and even medium game hunting with the larger calibers.

You'll enjoy the 2-stage adjustable Quattro match trigger that gives you the crisp and clean break you're looking for when accuracy matters, and the sidelever works with the 9 (.25 cal) or 10 shot (.177 and .22 cal) magazine to make fast follow up shots easy.

You can get quick and accurate shots with the fixed fiber optic TruGlo front sight and micro adjustable TruGlo rear sight, and there's also an 11mm dovetail/22mm Weaver combo scope rail for adding a scope (although the Weaver rail isn't a standard size).

If you're in the market for an air rifle that gives you powerful shots that are quieter than expected for plinking, pesting, or hunting, get the Hatsan AT44 QES at Airgun Depot today.

This rifle has some serious knockdown power for pests and small game such as rats, pigeons, squirrels, and rabbits. I got this gun as a fill in while I service my FX Impact II with some upgrades. I'm happy with the rifle and it's performance.

Pros
First of all - delivery was prompt and the rifle came in it's original box inside another shipping box. No dents or dings from shipping. First impression- it is a heavy rifle. If your going to carry it in the field you're gonna need sling. Preferably well made with some shoulder padding. Clean the barrel- again- clean the barrel as there was lots of manufacturing goop inside. Sighting in the open iron sights took about twelve pellets and I was shooting dime groups by the second magazine. Really accurate and hard hitting at fifty feet with open sights. I mounted a Centerpoint 3-9 x 32 AO Scope on top. Not a lot of rail space so tube length is critical. Make sure to use tall scope rings when mounting a scope or you're gonna have issues when putting in the magazines. Fortunately I had a spare set of rings handy. After another 20 rounds through the rifle I was shooting quarter sized groups a one hundred feet. The accuracy is just incredible for the price.

Cons
You gets what you pays for. This is a good entry level PCP airgun with reliable accuracy and build. Plastic stock is substantial. The trigger is a bit gritty starting out and gets smoother with use. I like the fact that the trigger is adjustable and the instructions to adjust it are clear to understand. Get a Sling. This is a heavy gun and it will drag on your arms after a while. Maybe Hatsan will graduate to aluminum or even graphite air bottles in the future.

Great PCP. Love the trigger, shot cycle is kind of annoying with the loud PING.

Pros
Great power. Shot count is good. Accuracy is good. Looks cool with a nice scope and bipod. I got the 22 long with open sights. Quiet energy.

Cons
Weight its a little heavy but worth it if your just bench shooting. . brought to the range and had fun with steel at 100 yards. Funny to hear how long the pellet takes to hit vs a powderburner.

I own A Hatsan P1 .22, AT44PA-long .22, BT65S .25 and this gun. I leave this gun outside in my car as I am often working in yard when I come across unwanted pests, mostly chipmunks and squirrels. I can quickly get this out of my car and I use the open sites because they are VG up to about 20yds. After that the centersite covers up too much space. you will hit inside of site at longer distances but for a sure shot I use a different gun at longer distances. All 4 of my Hatsan have great open sites though I scoped my BT65. The AT44PA has great power out to 40yards. I love the pump action with H&N Hunter Extreme pellets. If you are a fan of open sights then get this gun while you can. If you will notice almost all new Hatsan guns have QE barrels without the fiber optic sights. This gun on sale is the best you will ever get for the money. The one I own now is my second one. I sold one but found a deal on another and got it because I missed having the compact gun.

Pros
Nice compact gun, almost like having a semi-auto carbine with the pump action.

Cons
Unless you are careful you can load a double shot. I have on several occasions but the gun pushes out 2 pellets about as easy as one.

Things I liked:I've had the .22 model of this a/g for a while, and its great, I've alway's been into springers, and this is my first venture into pcp, What a difference, Coming from a host of top of the line springer's, (Cometa Fusion Premier.22, as one example)This blows it away. I'm getting close to 1000fps with H&N FTT 5.54mm(16-gr,.),and with 9gr Prometheus Hunters,I get close to 1140fps, and thats with deadly accuracy, Accurate enough to knock off a 25pd Racoon 75ft up a Pine Tree, and it was dead before it hit the ground with a head shot!. If you hunt with your a/g's, then this is your gun, after you get used to the shooting cycle, You'll be squeezing them off like Chuck Conners, But seriously, This gun is awesome!, Very easy to get your line of sight, and you keep it, even going through the pumping cycle, It's a polymer stock, but it's rock hard, not like the plastic Crosman Uses (Crosman M4177, as an example). Choosing the right ammo for this shooter may be a challenge, I've found that alot of my favourite pellets don't cycle well, It's a shame, I really like hunting with Skenco Metal-Tipped Ultra Mag's, but they're just too long, As with most of the point's in my arsenal, I However, I did find it shot excellent with H&N SilverPonts(17.10gr,.) In domes, the only pellet that was a little too long was H&N Baracuda's, Hunters, H&N Field Targets, Silouette's, FTT, FTT Power, Gamo Pro Hunters/Hunters, AirArms FX SmoothTwist pellets all performed well and left everything in the black @ 20M Things I would have changed:The weight!,,It's a heavy gun, and w/ that kind of heft, It should come with factory swivels, a shot-gun sling will be hard to place on this gun due to it's configuration.Any swivel attachment should be done professionally. Also, Magazine placement should be more internal, Too much of it is sticking out, and makes scope placement problematic. What others should know:Finding Optic's for this Beast may become a problem, If you plan on using a standard scope, You're going to need high mounts, and an Objective of Less of than 40mm, a Red-Dot may do the trick, but the rail's are a tad too thick for any Q/D type of mount. I put a JGBG M8 3.5X40 I/R, Integrated Laser on mine, and it fit's just right, and performs Extremely well with this gun, and doesn't add alot of weight.Get yourself extra magazines, I found that 6, will get you through all of your gun's power shots per fill-up, I also sprung for an extra air cylinder, tossed in my rucksuck, provides me with me more than enough air for a day in the field. Once you get used to this gun, It should become the pinnacle of your collection, It's very well built,a fantastic trigger, This gun should provide you with years of good shooting/Hunting. Chher's, and Happy Huntin', Andy.

Pros
Quick Follow-up Shots, Steady shooting platform, very easy to keep your sight, well through the shooting cycle. Extremely accurate, especially at distance(when using the proper hardware, such as Good Glass sitting on top of your receiver, and most importantly, to make shots of 200yds Plus, Get yourself a set of fully adjustable rings such as "FX No-Limit Rings, or "Sportsmatch adjustable rings, and making shots exceeding 150yds and up, These type of rings are necessary.

Cons
This weapon is "Sling" challenged, but I've found that a good padded shot-gun sling such as "Butler Creek" can be used. No swivels, and no-where to use a Bi-pod, Unless you use one of the cheap plastic bi-pods that me able to use at the muzzle, but it won't be very stable, You'd probably have better luch using shooting sticks, or a "Forked" stick that you can rest the barrel on. Also the magazines on the AT-44 series of guns come w/ very shallow mag's, where you're limited to your ammo choice, forget using your favourite "Hunting Pellets" as most are just too long, resign yourself to using "stubbies, Even H&N Baracudas are a tad too long, while H&N Baracuda "Hunters", and "Hunter Extremes" fit & cycle w/out incident.

This is a great air rifle. It is my first pcp rifle and a good one. it is very accurate and is pretty easy to zero. I like the 9 shot clip and the pump action. It has nice weight like a real rifle. I love the power it has and I would like to buy another one of Hatsan's rifles.

Pros
Good sites, easy to zero and load. It has great power and accuracy.

Cons
Just a little heavy

This rifle is THE most accurate air rifle I have ever shot. Shatters 5/8" glass marbles @ 25 yds time after time. Over 40 full power shots per charge. A little bit heavy for an air rifle but is manageable due to the virtual lack of recoil. Suggest high power optics as this rifle is very accurate beyond 30 yds. I had a few cocking issues...pump action is somewhat sloppy and I had a number of occasions where the gun did not cock after cycling the forearm slide and the Manual Safety button was difficult to move to "OFF". Hopefully these issues will clear up with a good clean & tune. Power is very impressive. Hollow point pellets blow 2" holes out the back of double 3/4" plywood backer where my so called "high powered" springer (gas piston) barely penetrates with the same pellets. All in all, a very powerful well built rifle well below $400.00.

Pros
Extremely accurate, high power, high shot capacity repeater.

Cons
Heavy, sometimes difficult to cock and loud.

After spending much time doing research, looking for a good air rifle to get my feet wet in my budget, I came to this rifle. And now that I've had it in my hands I can say I love it.

Pros
Lightweight: I think the old pump-up pea shoot I had as a kid weighed about the same as this. Safety: The auto-safety feature is nice, and the placement of it makes it easy to flip between shots. Pump-Action: This lends itself to quick firing and either handedness.

Cons
Sights: I had a somewhat difficult time setting my [rather large] scope in place without the rear sight interfering with it. Still fit it, however.

An excellent weapon powerful and lightweight Very accurate.

Pros
Light weight with modern styling Pump action ... great for those pump shotgun shooters who are not used to strange air-rifle mechanisms Metal 25 Cal rotary magazine not plastic Dual size dovetail for both sizes of scope rings Removeable / replaceable tank ... valve INSIDE tank Meaning buying a new tank gives you a new valve too!

Cons
Wish it came in O.D. green ... Can be A little "difficult" to mount a large scope on requires high rings ...

Very well balanced, can shoot groups at 50 yards. I get about 30 to 40 shots between fills. Absolutely love it and I'm planning to take it out when rabbit season starts.

Can this rifle be pressured with nitrogen?

asked muff

Hello Nitrogen is a clean dry gas . the air you breath have 78% nitrogen. Any moisture will affect the life of your rifle. Although high pressure air had lower moisture content because when cooled some moisture is knocked out. I use nitrogen on my hatsan but this comes with a cost. Air is cheaper Hope this helps

Michael

What is the psi count on the tank, what is the optimal psi and is it achievable with a hand pump. Also how many accurate shot will I get out of it.

what range can it be accurate for rabbits without to much drop

asked gordon

Is there a pump that comes with the rifle?

asked Dustin

NO.....

DW

How do you fill the air cyclinder in this hatsan and could I use a Benjamin made hand pump?

asked David

I'm having issues with the clip rotating far enough when the cycling the forearm. The clip isn't turning far enough to align with the firing tube and if you try to force it you will end up with a gun cleaning rod unjamming your gun. When I cock the gun and start forward with the pellet load I have to manually with my finger turn the clip just a little and it will click in place to align. Am I doing something wrong and can anybody please help me. I really like the rifle except for this issue.

asked Shannon from USA

Every pellet you use with the magazine for the AT 44 series guns needsto be short, basically a "stubby", If you try using a pellet thats too long all you'll succeed in doing is getting a jam every time you try and cycle a round. As an example Barracuda's are too long by a mm, while Barracuda Hunters fit and cycle fine, the difference is a mm or two, but if the pellet doesnt sit flush in the magazine's rear it will cause jamming.

Andy

Wayne, I went to Hatsan and filled out a customer service form requesting the same information as I did here. It took a good while to get a response, the response was a return authorization number to send the gun back to them to repair it. It was too late Air Gun Depot's customer service is a lot better and they took care of the problem.

Shannon from USA

I'm having the same problem but not all the time, I hope Hatsan comes out with a recommendation or kit to solve the problem. I contacted the Hatsan service rep and got a stock response to not use pellets that are to long, no help as that is not the issue.

Wayne from USA

I would like to order this gun but I need to know what fill nipple addapter i would need for the Hatsan (AT44PA) (I need to know the idem # number for the fill nipple) 10 shot PCP .22 Caliber Air Rifer.

asked Stewart

The Hatsan AT44PA 10 Shot PCP comes with the fill nipple and an extra 10 shot clip along with misc. o-rings, air cylinder bleed cap, etc. It's actually very complete. The fill nipple has the standard BSPP male threads.

Shannon from USA

What is the actual weight of the rifle? Is it really 6.6 lb.

asked Tom

Does this hatsan airgun comes with a smooth bore barrel

asked Angelina

In the specs. it indicates that the barrel is 'rifled', this means that it is not a smooth bore. It does not give the rate of twist, but I would guess that it's about 1:16 or one full revolution to every 16 inches of barrel length. Eddie Stearman, just some guy who likes to shoot pellet guns...

Eddie Stearman

What is best pellet shape and weight to maximize power on this rifle?

Scott from USA

Can you store the rifle under pressure? e.g. a week or two between shooting. Or does it need to be depressurized?

asked Jim

It is perfectly safe to store this gun under pressure. Storing this gun under pressure also preserves and protects the O-rings inside of the air cylinder

Daniel

It is perfectly fine to store this item under pressure, it actually lengthens the life of the O-rings that seal the air cylinder when it is stored with some air in it

Daniel

Does this require a handpump to load air? Or is a heaver duty high psi compressor needed? I am new to pcp so a detailed answer would be great! I don't suppose my 150 psi compressor in the garage would do the job, that would be too easy!

asked Gary from USA

no you need a 3000 psi air tank

me

do you have to buy the pump separately

asked david from USA

Yes you do. Here is the link to the Hatsan pump https://www.airgundepot.com/hatsan-hand-pump.html

Scott from USA

What kind of air power does this need?

asked David

what pump do you use to charge your hatsan?

asked Dylan Kapture

I manned up and spent the extra cash for the only pump beefy enough to offer a lifetime warranty and couldn't imagine using anything less..... Get the Hill Pump.
