Even though FPS rates may look the same from brand to brand, that may not always be the case. Hatsan tests this rating using lead pellets, but most competitors use lighter aluminum alloy pellets. What this means for you is that your Hatsan Hatsan Model 125TH .22 Air Rifle w/ 3-9x32mm Scope will deliver more knockdown power than an alloy-tested airgun with the same FPS rating.Hatsan airguns offer specialty features that come standard within the product line to provide shooters with a better shooting experience.

Hatsan Unique Features:

Quattro Trigger: Advanced two-stage match trigger only available from Hatsan
Shock Absorber System (SAS): Reduces vibration and increases the life of the gun, optics, and accessories
TruGlo® Fiber Optics: Microadjustable rear sight and front sight to lend more accuracy to every shot
Triopad® Butt System: Maximum recoil absorption provides added comfort, and three stock spacers allow adjustments for appropriate length of pull.
Safety: A drop safety interlock device has been incorporated to eliminate the possibility of the airgun accidentally firing if it’s dropped (whether or not the safety is on).

The Hatsan 125 TH A real magnum
I've received and broken in my Hatsan 125 TH and am very impressed. This is in 177 caliber but could easily push a 22 caliber pellet at high velocities. The word magnum has been used rather freely, especially for springers, but this truly is a Magnum. The Quattro trigger is very easy to adjust to your liking and is predictable at the release. While recoil is a very subjective sensation, the SAS system is taming the beast. Quality is high with fit and finish above average. How much do I like it?? The day after I received it was one of sore muscles from too much enjoyment of this fine rifle.

very powerfull and very accurate
It only took 6 shots out of the box to get scope right on . I was shooting ground squirrels at 20 to 60 yards with it with stock scope .
This is a great air rifle .

Inaccurate, poor quality, horrible scope
Out of the box, the scope is a throw-away. You're better off with iron sights. After upgrading to a highly rated Accushot scope, ran ~1,000 .22 of different weight through this (13 to 25gm) but never got a decent pattern at 30 yards and much worse at 50 yards. Then the stock simply broke apart on one shot, manufacturing defect or just cheap stuff. Cost me another $50 for a replacement stock. Wish I'd never bought this in the first place. Meantime, bought an RWS Magnum 460 that hits a quarter from 30 yards consistently and is reasonably accurate beyond 50 yards. It's a more expensive rifle, but I just could not get the Hatsan to dial in or last. Now that I've replaced the stock, watch for it on Craigs List.

Made for hunting
Bought this gun about 18 months ago , had it taken apart and lubed correctly. The rile in 25 cal is the only way to go with the power output of the 125 and the 135,dont even dream of going for the .177 too much power for the caliber- would be like mounting a V8 on a skate board. My 125 in 25 is reasonably accurate with open sights out to 25 yards, and it hits like a brick using the benjamin 27.8 gr domes - does about 700+ fps- will cut in half a coke can full of water at 20 yards--- and if you have good eyesight it can hit quarters at the same distance.
ProsThe thumb hold fits like a glove
ConsHeavy gun not for kids.

ITS A BEAST!
AS STATED, GOOD GUN, POOR SCOPE. IF U ARE HAPPY WITH A PATTERN THE SIZE OF A PAPER PLATE AT 30 YARDS THEN THE SCOPE IT COMES WITH IS FINE. I HOWEVER AM NOT FINE WITH THAT. I PUT A 50 DOLLAR WALTHERS SCOPE ON MINE AND NOW AT 30 YARDS I'M SHOOTING A 3 INCH PATTERN. SOLID FEEL AND COMFORTABLE 2 SHOOT. LOVE THE THUMB HOLE. THIS .25 CAL HAS BEEN EASILY BLASTING THROUGH 3 QUARTER INCH SOLID PINE BOARDS AT 50 YDS. IM USING JSB DIABOLO MATCH 25 GRAIN PELLETS. FUN FUN !
ProsPOWER, COMFORTABLE TO SHOOT, SOLID FEEL.
ConsTHE OPTIMA SCOPE IT COMES WITH.

Great gun
This is my first break barrel gun and it took several shot to get use to the weight and reaction during firing. I wanted this gun for several reasons of my own but most of all the knock down power since I live in the city limits. I'm using 3/8" plywood for my target holder and heavy gauge steel as a back stop and the pellets are putting 1/4" dents in the steel from 60' away, nice. I may buy a .22 cal from the same company since the quality of my first gun was great.
ProsWhen you are going through the shooting process the gun feels well built. Open sites or iron sites are good enough for this type of gun if you don't want to use the scope. Safety release is in the best place and automatically sets when loading the gun. The scope is okay for what you are paying the gun. I was able to get the scope zeroed in, in a few minutes.
ConsScope mount is not tall enough. Weight, but you really don't have a choice if you want the fire power of a 25cal

HATSAN 125th ... Factory Defect.
I had a couple issues with this rifle after firing approximately 50 to 75 rounds the breach seal came out of its seat this happened 2 times within 100 shots the second issue I had was one of 3 pins loacted at the rear of the barrel toward the safety came out and fell on the floor I put it back in but at that point I felt this rifle had a factory defect and I no longer felt safe shooting this rifle, Airgun depot was absolutely fantastic in the way they handled this matter as they promptly sent me a shipping label and within 5 days from the time it left here they sent me a full refund I then proceeded to purchase another make and model rifle off of them as their service after the purchase was incredible also I did quite a bit of research before purchasing and their prices cannot be beat! I highly recommend Airgun Depot for all your airgun needs and they are the only one I would ever consider purchasing from I gave 3 stars only on the HATSAN rifle but I give 5+ Stars to Airgun Depot!
ProsUnfortunately I had a bad experience with the HATSAN rifle I purchased but in no way should you have second thoughts about purchasing a Hatsan as this was just one of those rare instances where it was defective the overall build quality of the rifle itself was excellent and I would not have any second thoughts about purchasing another HATSAN product

Accurate and Powerful!
125TH .177 cal. I had mine for a week now and I love it! Already put about 400 pellets through it! It has settled down and begun to group nicely. Still experimenting with different weights, but the heavier the better! Not too loud, and no problem cocking it. It would be a little heavy for off-hand work for a smaller person. Hatsan makes a quality piece of work! Very well made! My next one will be the 135 in .22 cal.
ProsSolid, built to last! Powerful and accurate. Trigger is OK, little heavy but predictable. Getting 1 to 2 in groups at 35 yards with just the sights. 1 in groups with scope.
Consnot really any to speak of! I would definitely recommend this one!

Amazing Air Rifle
I have put hundreds of rounds of JSB Match Diablos through this gun and I am very, very happy with it. I love hitting tin can lids from prone position at 80+ yards. The take down power is amazing. Quality build and finish. I like the trigger, but it took a little getting used to. I kept the free scope, it does the job. This is a heavy gun to carry and cock, so eat your breakfast.
ProsPower Build Quality Accuracy
ConsThumb hole stock is for right hand shooters only.

Great Airgun!
I am VERY pleased with the Hatsan 125TH. Excellent fit and finish. Very accurate and lots of pop! It's my first high powered airgun and I couldn't be happier. The scope is nice too.
ProsAccurate and powerful. Well made.
ConsFor me, can't think of any. Maybe a little heavy.

Accurate and solid
Except for the scope, this rifle is all I needed and more than I expected. I had no idea that an air gun would be capable of this kind of power and accuracy. I found the field accuracy to be the equal to my 22 rimfires. The .22 cal. came with a 4 power scope and the mount wouldn't stay put from the recoil. It didn't have enough travel to be able to zero with other mounts.

That said, I still gave it a 5 star rating. I fitted a set of Warne detachable rings (Weaver style) and an older bushnell variable to try the rifle out. I shot around a hundred Benjamin Discovery pellets (14.3 Gr.) and fifty or so Beaman 14.5 grain pellets (pointed ones). They both shot well. The 5 shot groups were both around a dime size but in different points of impact (to be expected). The trigger was not the precision crisp breaking break like a match rimfire, but, it was excellent (consistent) and very shootable.

I found the .22 cal. power to be more than ample for rabbits; although, I may need to step up to the .25 cal. for racoons and foxes.
ProsAccurate, well made, consistant trigger,
ConsScope and mounts.

A Stout Air Rifle
This is my first air-gun venture since I was young. The Hatsan 125 in 22 caliber is well built with tight fitting parts. With little adjustment on the easily mounted scope, I was achieving 0.5" groups at 15 yards... so there is no question of the gun's accuracy potential. I have not experimented with multiple pellets yet, so it might even get better. The 22 caliber pellet packs a lot of power, almost penetrating 20 gauge metal... easily powerful enough for birds and small game. The adjustable trigger could be better, but it can be mastered.
I only gave it 4 stars because 1) it is 46" ( ) in length... the longest rifle I own; and 2) the 10 lb. weight makes it the heaviest rifle I own. Seemingly odd for an air rifle. Overall, I highly recommend it.
ProsSolidly built. Tight fit of components. Great accuracy.

Hatsan Model 125TH .22 Caliber Air Rifle with 3-9x32 Scope
I have just recentley recieved my hatsan 125th .22. I must say this gun packs some serious accuracy and power!!!! It took me about 10 shots to sight in the iron sights and 7 -8 with scope. Nice groups at 100 yards or so. It may be a bit heavy and hard to cock but that is about the only thing from keeping this a perfect air rifle.
Prosquality, power!!!! Accuracy, both sights and scope.
ConsA little heavy, other than that it's AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant be Beat for the Price
You wouldn't think that a magnum springer, such as the Hatsan 125TH, could have so much recoil and still maintain tack driving precision. I was very impressed with the open sights, after sighting them in I was able to hit a 1 in diameter spinner target from 25 yards every time. However, The blueing on the gun is not the best, but is decent. There are small cosmetic issues with the gun but considering the price and the performance of the 125TH you would be an idiot to call it a bad gun. Proof that this gun is worth while IMO is when I chronied it with heavy 18.13 grain JSB pellets and got an average velocity of 833 fps. That's 28-29 fpe with a spring powered air gun! Not to mention The velocity difference between shots was only about 4fps. If you were to use lighter 11 grain rws hobby pellets this gun would shoot at velocities over 1000 fps. This gun is consistent, powerful, and accurate. BUY ONE!
ProsTrigger, consistency, accuracy, power, open sights, scope rail, thumb hole stock, muzzle break helps when breaking in the barrel, butt pad, pretty much everything.
ConsThe bluing could be better, sling swivels would be nice.

the kicking mule
got my hatsan 125th 3 days ago... it was the first airgun I decided I would own... specs looked promising and at first sight the delivered package looked impressive... big, robust and powerful... however, upon initial inspection of the air rifle one of three Quattro Trigger adjustment bolts, (#3) was missing (image 1) while the other bolts could not be un-screwed with the included allen wrench...as if they were loctited... with that in mind, it also took 2 days and 2 guys to tame the "kicking mule"... and it did kick.... first, get rid of the included optic; it is useless... at 12 yds, the rifle could not keep together 4in groups disregarding the windage and elevation clicks by a huge margin.. between 2 guys and two hours of trying, even with "break in" at around 100 pellets, something had to give.. conclusion was: optics/rings jerk too much unable to keep MOAs... next day: changed optics (4x32 air gun center point); and the shots started grouping with more sense and as per the w/e clicks ... starting from scratch, at 10 yds; zeroing in went from top right toward center (see attached image2)... then image 3.... @25 yds, at around ~150 pellets, finally started to getting to ~1.5in groupings... see images 4 & 5... even at discounted unit price of $189, not sure how much value it really adds for the buck, say over remington vantage that costs ~$120 and pushes alloy at 1200ftps... will give it another week or two to make the final impressions...
Prospower, polymer stock, open sights
Consrecoil, loudness, included optics, weight
