Even though FPS rates may look the same from brand to brand, that may not always be the case. Hatsan tests this rating using lead pellets, but most competitors use lighter aluminum alloy pellets. What this means for you is that your Hatsan Model 125TH Mossy Oak Breakup Camo .22 Air Rifle w/ 3-9x32mm Scope will deliver more knockdown power than an alloy-tested airgun with the same FPS rating. Hatsan airguns offer specialty features that come standard within the product line to provide shooters with a better shooting experience. Features:
  • Metal Scope Rail Scope Stop
  • Quattro Trigger System
  • Shock Absorber System (SAS)
  • Precision Rifled Steel
  • Manual/Automatic Safety
  • Anti-Bear Trap Safety
  • Ergonomic Design Synthetic Thumbhole Stock w/Montecarlo Cheeckpiece
  • TrioPad Butt System for Maximum Recoil Absorbtion
  • Large Muzzle Break For Easier Cocking
  • Metal Trigger Blade

I hunt, and this 125 Thumb Hole in .25 cal using a slightly heavier pellet such as a H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme is really all I need to hunt just about anything I want. I sight in at 35 yards and will shoot things up to 50 yards. Of course put on a better scope, and then after you sight it in it is good to go. It's just so durable, I'm old fashioned, we have always hunted break barrels, never had anything ever go wrong with a Hatsan break barrel, I think we own 3. I I paid about $180. when they were on sale 2 years ago, might have used a coupon code too. Oh and H&N Baracuda Hunter Extremes don't really expand much at less than 900fps, but they create incredible interior shock, and they are particularly accurate with this particular rifle .... So ok ...

Pros
very sturdy and durable, you just don't have to worry about it failing out in the woods, price is fair

Cons
heavy, and needs a new scope of descent quality

If you are looking for a beast then this rifle is for you. It has great knockdown power. It is heavy and I wouldn't recommend this if you do not have a lot of upper body strength. Took me a while to learn how to shoot this accurately. I have a large air gun collection and am often drawn to this beast.

Pros
Powerful

Cons
Heavy

This gun is great, I own the 135 Hatsan in 30 caliber and in 22 caliber, all great guns. Accurate, power and a great feel to hold. This gun is dead on at 25, 50 yards and have had great experience at 75 yards. I would recommend to all, the only exception may be tough to break for a small shooter.

Pros
Accurate, power and nice looking.

Cons
The scope that comes with this gun can not handle the power. I have the same scope on my Hatsan 135 in .22 caliber works great, but not with the guns power. I mounted the UTG 4x23 true hunter scope and is dead on with every shot.

I have owned many air rifles. Recently owned several .22 models. After shooting .177s for quite a few years I moved to the .22s which hit much harder and was pleased. I kept reading how the .25 Hatsan 125th was the ultimate break barrel. I was intrigued. So when the very rifle came up on sale I purchased. This gun is a beast. I could not believe it would have this much punch. Seems to be quite accurate as well. The supplied 3 X 9 scope is adequate. I shot through 400 page phone book at 50 yards. I would not hesitate to shoot medium size game at that distance. It is heavy and the price you have to pay. The camo job and thumb hole stock are comfortable and well done. The SAS and Quatro trigger are nice upper class items that do offer real performance. Recoil is acceptable and trigger pull length and pressure adjustment produces a truly wonderful factory produced product.

Pros
Quatro Trigger SAS absorber Camo Stock Thumb-hole Good 3 X 9 scope incredible power .25

Cons
weight no sling

Great experience ordering from airgun depot. Package arrived security box and shipping was fast .Tested out of box with JBS exact kings in.25 cal 26 grains @725 fps. Took apart and rebuilt doing; hone job, JM red seal, trigger job polishing, squared up breach, double spring kit, a custom aluminum spring guide, UTG 4-16-44 sniper scope & polished port. Shooting JBS exact kings in .25cal @ 780fps now. The th125 is a shure thumping machine now. I've took game up small pigs hitting behind the ear out to 15 yards. 1/2" groups @ 11 yards 1 1/2" at 40 yards

Pros
Power, fun to tune.

Cons
Weight

Brake in for me was about 300 shots with jbs exact kings flying 710fps @ 20yrds 1"avg group that tightened up 3/4"after break in. I've owned it 2 years with no problems. Had to replace the scope with a ugt true hunter as all my air guns have. Bagged over 176 crows, 50 squirrels, 20 opossums, & 1 medium bobcat. This has great penetration in .25cal & groups great. Predator Polly mags are great as well. I'm 6'2" 280 lbs @ 40 yrs old and it takes cocking force to break it over abt 45lbs.

Pros
Groups well out to 40yrds. Penetrating power small to med game.

Cons
Heavy gun to pack. Long full size gun. Scope is not good due to tracking.

I put 350 pellets through this rifle in less than 3 weeks. To me, it's fun to shoot. It will make you laugh out loud with it's power and accuracy. It hits with authority. I am a big guy so cocking it is no problem. Mine likes the 25gr. Diabolos. The stock is nice. The trigger has not smoothed out yet but gets better every day. I knew the scope would be junk and was not surprised when it would not hold a zero within 20 pellets after mounting. It rattles inside. I didn't knock off a star for that. Or because, if you use all the stock inserts for length of pull, the supplied screws will be too short. You'll need two 2 1/2 inch #10 screws. I gave it four stars because of the open sights. This is a serious field rifle or could be. If your listening Hatsan, drop the bundled scopes, loose the fancy knobs and exposed fiber optics plastic sights. That stuff is for papper. This is a hunting rifle. In a hunting caliber. Give me some simple, solid open sights that can be taken into the bush and can hold their zero, and sling mounts.

Pros
Well built. Rewards solid marksmanship skills with very repeatable accurate shots. Powerful, very powerful. The stock is comfortable. Seems the balance point and weight was made for a big guy. Good max length of pull. Makes you want to shoot it until you ache.

Cons
Bundled scope is wasted raw materials. Sights, akin to hanging fragile, colored beads on an otherwise well built tank. Installed sights work well for shooting paper but not robust enough for the woods. All serious rifles need sling mounts.

I purchased this gun for teaching my grandchildren gun safety and hunting. I was extremely impressed with the build and performance of this gun. I was getting 1/2 inch groups out to 75 yards. We stacked the pellets at 20 yards. Sufficient power for day or night pest control. This rifle will humanely harvest feral hogs with a brain cavity shot. I have done this out to 50 yards so far. Very happy with the weapon. Great buy.

This is the first .25 cal. that I have owned and am loving it so far. Have not had the chance to put alot of pellets through it but so far I have no complants about it. My son was out shooting it with me and he has now decided that he wants one asap. The only thing that I am going to change on it is the scope, but that will be later. I bought it for hunting this winter and will write a new review once I get to go. Would like to have more info about changing the spring piston to a gas piston.

Pros
Power Power Power Love the feel of the stock.

Cons
Scope, and it does wear a person down after shooting it for awhile.
