This is an excellent piece of equipment that works great with my scuba tank. I had to get the K-valve to Din adapter to make this work on my metal scuba tank. It fits perfectly and works great. Getting all the pieces together was a little hectic but I did it and its great.
Pros
fast attachment, works great
All you need to do is screw on the charging tube(provided with gun) with some teflon tape. Keep the tape on the threads as you don't want any to get in the gun valves. I like a light coating of mineral oil on the o-rings.Make sure you have a Din valve on your scuba tank and at least 3500 psi capacity or you won't get many charges at 200 bar (2900 psi) Steel tanks are heavy but will last several life times if properly maintained. Fill only takes a few seconds with the valve cracked open slowly. Be careful to fill to only 200 bar by gauge on gun!
Pros
Built in bleed valve and gauge
Reasonable price
Good quality
Easy to set up and use
Cons
NONE! Buy it!
I Have a 80 cu ft Scuba tank for my Hatsan AT44-S10 .22 Caliber Long Barrel PCP Air Rifle, and this charging kit works great. One thing to keep in mind is this kit is DIN valve, and some scuba tanks are K valve, so if you are in the market for a scuba tank be sure to get one with a DIN valve. The other option if your like me and already had a K valve scuba tank is to buy a K valve to DIN valve adapter for your scuba tank, then you can use this charging kit with no problems.
Question?
Login to ask someone who bought this product.Description says it mounts to 200 or 300 bar tanks, but what is the max rated output for the adapter? Could I fill to 300 bar with this?
asked Eric from USAI bought this adapter but I wish to know what kind of scuba tanks I need to use it with, and if any kind of adapters are necessary to do so (ie: female-female connectors)
asked ClaudioDIN300 scuba tank valve and not old "k"type valve
Richard from USAa scuba tank that has a DIN300 valve and not the older style "k"valve
Richard from USAany scuba tank with DIN300 valve and not older"k"style valve
Richard from USAIs this kit suitable for a Galatiant II ?
asked ireneThis will work with any gun that fills using a foster valve system, for guns like the Galatian you will need to use the air probe adaptor that came with your gun to attach to the foster valve to fill your gun
Scott from USAIs the Hatsan Scuba charging Adapter kit essential for filling the detachable air cylinder tube? Or are there alternative method? Thanks!
asked George from USAI do not know if the Hatsan Scuba Charging Adapter Kit is essential but I would not even consider any alternative method. The Hatsan Scuba Charging Adapter Kit is a great piece of equipment and makes filling the air cylinder (whether attached to the rifle or by itself) absolutely effortless and quick. Filling a cylinder takes a couple of minutes using the Hatsan Scuba Charging Adapter Kit and a scuba tank. I bought my scuba tank (100 cubic foot steel tank with a November 2012 DOT stamp) on e-bay for $180 plus $50 shipping. Not sure if that is the best price but it was the best I found. Got it filled at the local scuba shop without a dive card for $8.50. My buddy says the fill will last for a long time. The Hatsan Scuba Charging Adapter Kit pressure gauge is marked the same way as the cylinder (0, 100, 150, 200 , 250 bars) and fills the cylinder to 190 bars very quickly. I do not know what "bars" are but have to assume that 190 bars is about 3000psi (which is what the tank was filled to). I can't imagine how long it would take to use a hand pump to get to 190 bars. My buddy who has an AirForce rifle says the hand pump broke very quickly from heat and pressure. The Hatsan Scuba Charging Adapter Kit is a great piece of equipment and worth every nickel of the price (especially the sale price).
