Sumatra 2500 Air Rifle- Devastating, authoritative knockdown power! The Sumatra 2500 is an easy-to-cock, lever-action repeater. This precharged pneumatic (PCP) has two built-in chambers (380cc total) that hold high-pressure air (3,000 psi) from a scuba tank, hand pump or compressor. It has a two-stage adjustable trigger that is either double- or single-action. The sights are pretty unique, in that both the front and rear are adjustable. The front post can be adjusted for elevation by turning a small wheel under the post. The rear is a two-hole aperture that flips from a small to large hole and is adjustable for windage.Accuracy is the name of the game when it comes to shooting, and the Sumatra 2500 excels in that area: 3/8 ctc at 30 yds. with Eun Jin pellets. To get the most from this airgun, you'll want to mount a scope on the 11mm dovetails. The finely rifled steel barrel (1:18 RH twist) is fed by a 6-shot cylinder that makes for quick follow-up shots. The cylinder makes it easy to use longer pellets and even mix-and-match different pellet lengths and types. The adjustable power wheel has 13 settings, making this one of the most versatile powerhouses on the market! You'll get about 15 shots on high power and 25 on medium. Muzzle energy ranges from 55.08 to 26.61 ft.-lbs. Although .22 is the best caliber for hunting, the energy from .177 and .20 calibers is suitable to hunt small- to medium-sized game or pests. Comes with 2 rotary cylinders, a fill probe and a tin of Eun Jin domed pellets.

Hunting, field target and more with this versatile caliber! Includes two 6-shot cylinders, fill probe and Eun Jin pellets.

Powerful, Accurate, Well Built and Great Looking
A very strong, well built, Accurate Air Rifle. Likes heavier pellets. Give it 4 Stars because trigger is single stage and very stiff. It must be adjusted quite a bit. This is a Heavy air rifle, and Scope Rail is a bit short. Lever action is a bit stiff. I have .25 Cal., full size, not the carbine. Has a little "kick" on higher power. Very different than my other Air Rifles.
ProsBeefy, Big Air Tank, Easy Fill with Foster Fitting. Good Looking with Adjustable power for heavier hunting pellets. Like the 6 Shot metal Cylinders. Great Looking with very good Accuracy.
ConsHeavy with Scope. Trigger needs work to help with consistent accuracy. Uses a lot of Air. Need air tank unless you want a Major Work Out with a hand pump, every 18 Shots. Very Loud, without something added to quiet the report.
Best Uses Target, and Hunting.

Absolutely AMAZING!!!
I did a lot of research before making this purchase. The research paid off! This thing is absolutely amazing! I got the .25 caliber, full length version with 500cc. I absolutely love it. I have already had tons of fun firing all kinds of different .25 pellets through 2x4's, plywood, old sheet metal, old discarded electronics, etc. I mounted a very basic scope and got the HILL PUMP along with it. The pump and sumatra combo is very decent. No issues yet, if you don't mind the exercise. I have tested accuracy at 30 yards and as long as I'm doing my job correctly, it can group very small. I have been shooting it daily since it arrived and I am still impressed every time I pick it up to have some fun with it. People complain about it being heavy. Well, it's true. It is a bit heavy, but what are we here? Little girls? The thing is, it's front heavy because the two tanks are in front. I quickly got over that. It might make a slight decrease in shoulder fire accuracy, having all that weight out front, but I think once you get adjusted to expecting the particular balance, it is fine. I love the wood, and the under-lever. I will repeat this. I LOVE THE UNDER-LEVER. I looked at many side-lever models and just couldn't bring myself to order one of those. I wanted this western look on purpose. Some folks don't buy into that flavor, but I find it appealing. The one thing I don't like about the rifle is the super corny artwork along the side. What were they thinking, putting such a goofy little hunting dog scene along the side of such a fine rifle? The world may never know. I'd much prefer they just engraved the name of the rifle down the side instead of this bizarrely corny engraving. I have eyeballed it many times considering any possibility of covering it up or grinding it off, but that would be as much of a mistake as the original artwork was. Still, if you can get over that cosmetic aspect, the rifle itself is a very impressive, very accurate and VERY POWERFUL tool. It is also freakishly loud, but what do we expect when the pellets are consistently breaking the sound barrier? Of course it's loud. It has a suppressor mount on the barrel to help you with that. I've just taken to wearing ear protection while using it. You can dial it down to be pretty quiet, or dial it up to punch through 2x4's. It's just an amazing rifle and despite a few minor things, I have been extremely satisfied with it.
Pros1200 fps, under-lever is awesome, very accurate, very powerful, shoots any kind of pellet, adjustable power settings
ConsTHE ARTWORK ON THE SIDE IS CORNY, A little front heavy, It's LOUD!

Sam Yang Sumatra ! Awesome rifle !
This rifle can shoot any pellet you feed it ! Just find the right power setting for what pellet you have and it will deliver ! I found the 27 grn Benjamin domes and Jsb 33 heavy exact kings were the go to ammo for high power shots ! Showing super nice groups at 50 yrds ! I’ll try the Eugin pellets as soon as my order gets here ! For sure this rifle can take down even large pigs ! And turn it down for lots of shots on the back yard ! I also bought the Sumatra in .22 cal and am currently having a blast with that one too ! No doughy it will hunt also !
ProsSuper nice looking rifle Super powerful Large deep magazine take the biggest ammo fir sure Lever action never fails to load Numbered magazine easy to see shot count Metal mag solid Open sites work super good for plinking close Range 500 cc fill lots of air !
ConsWish dive tail rails were longer to have better mounting options in scope s No sling mount studs Wish had longer fore arm fir mounting bi pod and sling stud
Best UsesHunting , plinking , long Range target s Everything

Sumartra Carbin 2500
This was my Christmas present for myself, great gun, fun and straight shooter. I have been using it set at about med power and is a hard hitter. I am very impressed with this gun and hope to have a productive spring knocking out the squirrel population around the house.
ProsAccurate, hard hitting and just great fun.

Hits Hard
Very impressed with performance and appearance , even better than pictures or videos. Got mine in 25 caliber and like others have said it is an air hog 10 shots =110 pumps with my Hill pump , but it isn't hard to fill since it comes with a foster fill connector. It is very loud not back yard friendly even with my moderator attached , but does quiet some of the bark , still bites hard though.I always thought my Airforce Condor was top dog but i believe the Sumatra has a slight edge with a 6 round mag and smooth lever action that makes follow-up shots simple. I mounted a 3x12x44mm UTG compact Swat scope with etched glass reticle that is under 12 inches long and weighs in at 21 ounces with a one piece BKL mount. This doesn't seem to add to much added weight since this rifles is not light , almost 9 pounds without a scope, still not hard to carry for a day of hunting. So far I've only tried JSB 25.39 grain pellets (very accurate)with this mag longer pellets can be used.
ProsPowerful, beautiful stock and forearm seeing is believing , top notch metal detail , deep blueing , foster fill makes it easy to fill , nice iron sites included for those who don't use scopes.
ConsLoud ,may be heavy for some. Pellets are not held in place can fall out if tilted down. ( When installing mag hold with the muzzle up ).

Absolute Perfection
If it's an under lever action cowboy style gun your looking for, The Sumatra Simply cant be beat. I was a bit afraid of the hunting scene on the side before I bought it, but, in person it's very well done and likeable. I too have the 290cc Carbide and wish I got the 500cc for shots per fill. I only fill to 2500 lbs because I only have a 3200lb scuba tank still I can get 4-6 mags out of a fill depending on where the power wheel is set. Honestly there are so many combinations for this non pellet picky gun between the pellet weight to the power wheel add that to fill pressure and its hard to say how fast it is but were talking .25 cal in my case so I can get a few magazines close to the 900s with 26g pellets and the wheel in red up from green usually four mags without a poi drop. Yet 36g pellets are still in the mid 800s. It'\ would take a decent article written just about the Sumatra there is so much to it which isn't to say its complicated or hard to operate there is just so many ways you can go with it.
ProsNearly everything about it.
ConsWould benefit from a 4500lb fill tank & equipment.

Best bang for the buck in it's price range!
I have a .177 version of this gun! It gives me 32 ft lbs energy shooting a 16.1 eun jun pellet at almost 1000 fps. It is extremely accurate with this pellet only, shooting 3/4" groups at 50 yards! The impact is devastating on squirrels, rabbits, small birds, ducks, and even geese!! Even foxes and coyotes go down with one shot to the head!! So, yeah, you could take ground hogs and raccoon and possums with this gun with head shots! IMHO, simply the BEST bang for the buck!!
ProsHigh power Extreme accuracy Reliable
Cons"Iron" sights suck. but I scoped mine, so not an issur!

.25 cal Sumatra
A most under rated rifle around right now! Don't be scared by the price. If you think you would like one, the ease of use and accuracy will pay for that. Zeroed in at 30 yards on 4 shot using scope: dime size groups off a bench rest and a few going through the same hole. At 50 yards, not much change in grouping. Maybe a nickel size group using 32 gr JSB. Excellent wood as I got one with a lot of dark grains in it which is what i like. Metal color was great with no flaws or scratches and the design in the receiver is awesome. Rifle packed very well. Took my first nutter with it on the 8th shot. Swabbed barrel before I shot it to remove any gunk inside but it was cleaner then I thought it would be.
ProsPower and ability to adjust powe. Lever action with 2 metal rotating cylinders. Ease of sighting in.
ConsEverything really stiff for now in the cocking dept but its new and will loosen up.Care full loading in the cylinder as they can fall out if the pellet isnt flared enough or it just maybe the ones i use.

Powerful!
I don't see many reviews of this air weapon and am not really sure why. If people aren't purchasing it, that probably means they really haven't heard enough about them. I own the .20 version of this rifle but I see it's out of stock for the moment so I'll say my peace here. The .20 is identical to the .22 other than the .2 difference pellet difference. I've taken small and medium game with it many times as it's best suited as a hunter. The lever action is smooth enough with a fairly clean trigger break. This monster is definitely suited for outdoor only use, as the report is more than my .22's. If you pick this rifle up, please be sure to try the Eun Jin pellets. They almost seem to be made for the rifle more than any other.
ProsBalance, feel, looks, power, and accuracy.
ConsThe Korean artwork on the receiver leaves little to be desired but it's acceptable.

The best of Eugin high power
Excellent rifle, accurate, and the best choice for small game. It ensures high quality and we take pride in owning a Eugin. I have no words for how good it is and its accuracy.
ProsTermination of materials, quality, accuracy, and power.

Beautiful Rifle with devastating power.
My rifle is stunning. I have wanted one for a few years now, and finally got one. I mounted my scope, sighted it in for 50 yards, and that first night I dispatched a coon that had been tearing up my bird feeders. On the 2nd night using the 35.8 grain eunjin pellets and it was lights out for that guy. Build and quality is superb. My next will be the carbine in the same caliber.

THE VERY BEST....
I was waiting for the Sumatra .25 cal/500cc, but I could not wait so I took the 380cc model in .25 caliber. I had the guys at p/a, do the test for ten bucks, and I am glad I did. MY rifle started in the 12 hundreds and the last shot was 1,127fps. This Sumatra rifle is built very solid, I LOVE everything about it, except for the peep sights. I put A 6-24-50AO leapers scope on it with a UTG green laser. The accuracy improved. I used a H&N .25 cal 26 grain HOLLOWPOINT pellet and shot a chipmunk that was about 137 yards away. I LOVE MY SUMATRA and with the scope and laser mounted it is very very wicked looking.
ProsEverything! It's built for a man!
ConsNothing.

Sumatra 2500 Air Rifle - Great Accuracy and Power
After trying 5 other PCP rifles, the Sumatra is the most power with the nicest features. Variable power settings, accurate, pretty artwork on the receiver, gold trigger, scope ridge on top, fast easy cycling, this thing has it all. The long barrel is kind of heavy so I have the carbine. It is the perfect size for carrying around in the field.
ProsPower, power, power. This thing really barks. The lever action works best for hunting. Rotary magazines eat any kind of ammo easily, better than the in-line type.
ConsNot a fan of the peep sight.

The best aigun in the market
I am conosedor of Aigun, I shot and have tried everything but this I believe is the best rifle that exists for the village in particular, the 2500 sumatra 22 can even be used for larger animals Caseria such as benados. Excellent gun! Soy conosedor de aigun, he disparado y probado de todo pero este creo que es el mejor rifle que existe para la caseria en particular, este sumatra 2500 .22 puede incluso usarse para la caseria de animales grandes como son los benados. Exelente arma!!

Hello there! I know how awesome this rifle is and I want to buy one. Can you please tell me if this rifle is durable or not? How long have you owned it and what kind of mechanical problems have you had. Did you have to do 'too much maintenance" in order to get things going with this rifle? I'm asking about this because I know that some rifles do have some mechanical issues...the Marauder's .25 cal magazine, for instance. Thank you very much.

By john from crete, il on December 5, 2011
how many shots do you get on a fill. which is the better fuel air with pump or tank. would a 3000 tank work.
By Conor from Sunnyside, WA on January 20, 2012

Answer:
On high power about 13 consistent shots, then it diminishes in power slowly.
