Our favorite is your favorite and your favorite is ours, right? When you search to find the top or best airgun, there is never just one. Why is that? That’s an easy answer, there are so many different types that it’s impossible to get a unanimous vote for just one airgun. You’ll find the top five or ten airguns but never only one.

For the big game hunters, could you altogether decide the AirForce Texan SS is the best airgun? Of course not! It’s a great air rifle and it is also available in as small a caliber as .257. That doesn’t mean it’s the best or everyone’s first pick. Some may prefer Seneca Dragon Claw II to hunt with, because they like a more classic wooden stock.
What about medium caliber lovers that make small to medium game hunts possible? We know what airgun you’re going to choose, everyone of you! It’s hands down the Umarex Gauntlet 2 SL! Are we right? Of course not, because the FX Crown is the better PCP according to some airgunners, that makes it the best!
Has anyone ever asked you about your favorite airgun? We get asked all the time and we find it difficult to narrow it down to one single product. We have to break it down into caliber, PCP or break barrel, BB gun, hunting, or plinking—we think you get the point.
If I’m not willing to go the extra length and provide an air source, the best airgun for me will not be the Air Arms S510 XS. It may be something like the Hatsan Mod 135 Vortex QE. This one is even available in multiple calibers, .22, .25, and .30. Maybe that’s the best one for you; great, where does that leave everyone else?
Did you know there are caliber snobs? Yes, there are airgunners who refuse to shoot any other caliber than .177 or .22 for instance. Others would say .177 is child’s play and refuse to handle those tiny pellets. That changes everything and limits the choices for best or top airgun!
When you’re doing your research on the best airgun/s, it is best to read reviews and research consumers’ opinions and experiences. It is also recommended that you know your expectations of it, and prove through research, it will meet your expectations and accomplish the goals you have in mind.

So what makes such a product climb into the top or best category? One of the largest impacts on a product are the consumers and the feedback they share. A top product is going to fly off the shelf when the news of its greatness spreads.
Did you know one of the top selling air pistols in 2025 is the SIG Sauer P320? Fred, a consumer, said “Look and feel. Gun feels solid. Blow back action is more than I was expecting. A lot of fun to shoot. Pretty accurate too at 20 feet.” That’s some great feedback, we can thank Fred for taking the time to give his opinion.
We, and most companies, welcome consumer feedback to help us, as well as others just like you, to make great purchasing decisions. So, ultimately, how does a product make it to the top or best category? With a little help from you, thank you!
