Hatsan NovaStar – First Look

We’re at SHOT show 2019 at the Hatsan booth giving you a first look at the Hatsan NovaStar. Now the Nova has a really good following, it’s an incredible gun. They’ve done a few things different with the NovaStar, they’ve kept the same power. They’ve added on a carbon fiber bottle, so a 480 CC carbon fiber bottle fills to 250 bar. You’re going to get up to 90 shots per fill in .25 caliber at up to 54 foot-pounds of energy, so you’re getting a real beast of an air gun here in .30. In in .177 caliber you’re getting 37 foot-pounds, so you’re really pushing a lot of power out of here. The shroud is a little sturdier here. It doesn’t have the QE technology that’s found on a lot of other Hatsan guns because they’ve threaded it with a half-inch UNF threads here if you want to add on aftermarket accessories. There, you’ve got beautiful Turkish walnut, fully adjustable buttstock, a butt pad here for hand elevation etc,, and a really nice adjustable comb on this, which I always appreciate. Now now the grip is is good, it’s you’ve got finger grooves here, and my hands are pretty big and they still fit on there pretty well. I can reach the lever action, cycles smoothly here, so I don’t have to take my eyes off of the target when I’m shooting. This the MSRP is going to be about $899, we’re expecting it to come out in the middle of this summer here. One thing I should mention that you guys are going to want to know is it does have a manual safety, so none of this automatic safety stuff. Thanks for watching and stay tuned.
