Nice vermin getter!!!!!
Bougts this for my wife as a Christmas presnt to control yard vermin ravaging our vgetable garden and damaging our house. It took a little time to zero the sights but she has since harvested several suirrels (roof rats) and rabbits. We will use this also to teach real safety goals to our grandchildren before moving them to .22 caliber firearms. Well made and delivered in less than 7 days. We will buy from Airgun Depot again.
ProsWeel built and accurate out to at least 50 feet. Easy to use as I own an M1A from Springfield Armory. All controls operate just like the real firearm.

best deal at the depot
Without a doubt this gun is the best deal on the entire website. At $50 you get a very good full sized replica of the m14....for half price. It has authentic adjustable military peep sight, ingenious dual 8 shot pellet magazine and smooth semiautomatic action.
accuracy is outstanding, and 2 co2 cartridges last for hours.
I put a cheap shoulder sling on mine. Its actually made in Japan, and Japanese precision is apparent! This gun is a gem.
A great replica if the USA's last battle rifle.

Conscolor and texture of the stock; could have been a bit darker...but you can fix that if you want.

Nearly Great
I bought this for my Grandson for Christmas. It is almost the best replica I have seen. The only thing holding it back is the plastic (composite) stock. If it had a wooden stock it would have scored a perfect five. The Grandson loves it because it will fire 16 rounds without reloading in semi auto. I got it on sale at a great price and it has proven to be everything it is touted to be.

AGD staff and customer service awesome!

Rifle was a lemon, had to return it. Didnā€™t get halfway thru first mag when rifle jammed. Could not remove mag after that. Boxed it back up with a dookie face :( I verified the mag was loaded appropriately before setting it. Seems like would have been a fun rifle.

Barely Functions
Had only one shooting session with this gun. Out of approximately 50 shots attempted, less than half fired. I purchased two additional magazines and every one at some point would not eject and had to be pried out with a screwdriver. The trigger also failed to function a few times until the CO2 mag was dropped (with loss of gas) and reinserted. Pellets were Daisy wadcutters, and the only thing keeping this thing out of the trashcan is the hope that domed pellets from another brand might work. If that restores functionality I'll revise this review but, I'm not optimistic.
ProsIt kept the shots in a pretty tight group at 30 feet. That's not bad, considering about every other shot the gun was picked up off the bench with words like, "What the heck," "Not again!" and a few stronger phrases. From a distance it looks realistic. Easy to handle thanks to its light weight.
ConsToo long a list to go into details. Suffice it to say I got it from Airgun Depot just before Christmas marked down to $49 and at this point, it ain't worth half that.
Best UsesLike some other reviewers said, as a non-shooting prop. The light weight would be good for teaching kids, but it malfunctions so often it would probably send them running for their PlayStations and Xboxes.

Perfect backyard gun
Just tried this beauty out. Good grouping at 10 yards and enough power to punch holes in quarter inch plywood. I used Crossman destroyer pellets. I read all the reviews and can only say it seems some folks expect this gun should stand up to storming a beach. It really sounds like a lot of problems people encounter are self inflicted. This is perfect for sitting on the porch and popping cans although with the right pellets this thing would be lethal for small critters. I used a petroleum wood stain to darken the stock and Teflon oil on the barrel and receiver. Looks like a million bucks. I guess I'll stick with pellets as from reviews it seems BBs would wear out the rifling. Came without a magazine but Daisy support sent one out right away. I just need to order a couple more. If you decide to own this, do yourself a favor and buy extra magazines up front. You'll end up getting them anyway.
ProsAccurate right out of the box. Looks great. Lots of power.
ConsI'm fine with open sights so it's not an issue for me but it seems there is a bit of an issue trying to mount a scope. Maybe It should be a bit more straightforward as an option.
Best UsesGreat for a shooting gallery in the backyard with friends. Will take out small game the size of possums and such.

Fantastic Replica
This is a really great replica of an M14. I find it very accurate, fun to shoot with a good grade of BB's or pellets. The CO2 valve does not leak as with some other rifles. I like mine so well; I plan to order another one for a spare.

Good so far
Just owned it a short time. So far reliable and accurate at a good distance. I'm disappointed in the sighting mechanism, the stock side (circle) is too restrictive so it drastically cuts down the view of the target in the distance.
ProsEasy to reload (ammo and cartridges). Reliable.

Good fun gun
Clever implementation on a classic design. The clip is where the two CO2 bottles, and the dual end pellet clip are. I don't know why, but its just real fun to shoot this.
ProsI love the concept of using two standard CO2 bottles. Plus its a real semi auto, so you don't have to cock between shots. Easy to load and easy to change magazines. The gas bottles go in easy and last for a lot of shots. I think its probably impossible to jam this gun.
ConsSure its all just plastic, but it is very light and that's a nice change from many other guns this size.
Best UsesBack yard plinking. Not a hunting gun. There is no way to mount a scope so you're limited to the "iron" sights.

Winchester M14, .177 cal
After reading various reviews and watching videos, well I decided to just buy this rifle and see for myself how it performs. As a backyard plinker this rifle is well suited. It's made of plastic, light weight and accurate at 30 yards. Iron sights function just like the original. I purchased an air-soft scope mount for it off amazon.com and it fits, but I had to thread the mounting screw into the plastic in the receiver, which stripped once I tried to tighten it, bummer. So I had to purchase and use a 4mm bolt to attach the mount to the receiver, in which there is an existing threaded hole beyond the plastic hole. So if you buy the mount, then don't bother using the screw that comes with it, get and use a 4mm bolt instead. Also, the rear wedge that is place where the stripper clip guide would normally be on the real M14 rifles isn't a tight fit so I used a little JB Weld to secure it in place. I know it sounds like a bit of trouble, but I was able to attach a scope rail to the rifle. It is a semi-automatic rifle, but note: you must fully release the trigger for each shot or the rifle may jam. With that being said, yes you can mount a scope rail to the rifle. Overall the rifle was everything I expected, lots of fun and I'm pleased with my purchase.
ProsIt can be scoped.
ConsNone that I can see.

Best M-14 Replica for the price
From a distance this gun looks like the real rifle ,shoots pellets and bb's 16 shot magazine 2x co2s for a velocity of 700 fps I recommend shooting in hot weather then will get better velocity you can use bb's but I prefer .177 cal pellets because of the rifled barrel this gun hits hard and is accurate for you guys who served in the military this rifle will bring back memories awesome gun shoots quiet and smooth you won't find a better co2 replica M-14 Rifle anywhere .
Prosvery realistic affordable 700 fps co2 powered semi -auto 16 round magazine shoots steel bb's and .177 cal pellets smooth shooting accurate back yard friendly light weight

!very nice gun for the price! The fact that you can shoot either bb's or pellets is a plus!
Very true to life replica. Not has heavy as the real thing makes for easier handling. Real good shooter. Better grouping with pellets as opposed to bb's.

Wouldn't mind paying a little bit more for real wood stock. I like to collect air gun replica but unfortunately most replicas have real metal parts with plastic handle/stock. The manufacturers would be wise to charge a little bit more for wood stock, or at least give us an option of plastic or wood with different pricing level.

Fantasic Rifle, Great Bargain
One of the so-called experts that does reviews on line didn't like this rifle. He said it couldn't be scoped, it was inaccurate, and in essence, cheaply made. Wow, is he ever wrong on all counts. I have two of these and love them both. They are very accurate with open sights. As you can see by the pictures, they are scope-able. I have used red dots on mine, lasers, and scopes too. The riser/rail allows the use of open sights and whatever optic you choose to use. The riser also adds a very scale look, along with the sling. The rifle is light. I painted one of mine, and used cammo tape on the other. I'm planning on a third variation. Tremendous gun, tremendous bargain.
ProsScale looks, very accurate, over 100 shots on CO2 load X2 cartridges. Light, great fun to shoot, great price.
ConsNone. Really, none.

A solid shooter and so much more!
Do NOT let the fact that this gun is largely plastic throw you at all. It's not only a great shooter straight out of the box, but it's an amazing base for those of us who like to tinker.

It comes out of the box with a generic brown, textured plastic stock. The rest is all black. I think Winchester did themselves a disservice with the gun's initial appearance but their oops is our win because had they put more effort into it, we'd pay more money for it.

It uses the same 8x2 magazine used in the Winchester M4 so if you own one, you instantly get a spare mag for the other! Brilliant, Winchester, just brilliant!

It has a dual 12 gram Co2 cartridge design but if you're not intending to shoot long and don't mind a slight dip in velocity, it will work quite well on just one cartridge. Even with two, however, it meters it out reasonably as opposed to some of the gas hogs out there.

The gun is light! Like TOY light, but that can be easily remedied with a few additions. It'll never be a 9 pound monster like the Gletcher Mosin Nagant, but you can add a few pounds easily enough. Then, with a little paint and a little time, you can make this thing whatever you want it to be.
ProsHard hitting GREAT sights realistic dimensions versatile Co2 congifuration
ConsWeight - or lack their of Out of the box appearance of the stock

must have co2 rifle
the rifle is very accurate copy of the famous M-14 rifle. it is powerful " at least the first dozen shots".. dual co2 which provides up to 150 shots until co2 change out. the only negative is the plastic stock looks really cheap. but for $45.00 paint the stock as I did. the winter cammo I applied looks great. I own many co2 rifles and the M-14 is one of my favorites.

M 14 Winchester (Daisy) rifle
It's a close copy of the real firearm and for the price a keeper. Accuracy is very good with the rifle sights. For those that are over the hill like me, I suggest enlarging the rear appature for quicker target acquisition. The LOP is 13 inches which I assume is a compromise for all the people of different sizes that will be using the rifle. Mine has a trigger pull of 6.5 lbs and may decrease a little as shot count increases. The rifle is a realistic copy and quite accurate out of the box once sighted in. The plastic makes for a light carry which some may like. I wish the plastic stock was made of one piece rather than two, which shows the seams where the stock was glued together. The sling mounts are a little too noisy for my likeing but adding a sling does quiet them down. Depending on the scope mine can weight up to 8 pounds loaded out. The preceeding comments are minor nitpicks of mine and as you can see I still rate it 5 stars.

I modified my rifle somewhat to just have fun and own an M14 that's somewhat different. The scope mount has been lightened, the handguard vented and the flash suppressor opened up. The factory sling mounts were replaced with the real M14 solid mounts. Picatinny rails were added to each side of the stock for a bipod and topside the handguard for accessories. I did a color change to the stock as well. With the lowest height scope rings I could find (for my highest power scope) I still found that I needed a little help from a cheek rest. Young shooters would benefit from that as well. Pull the plug and buy this rifle. You won't regret it. Oh, yes... that's a real set of M14 stock liner screws you see attached to the stock. They fit perfectly. That's how realistic this air rifle is. By the way, It's made in Japan according to the lettering on the gas tube.

Winchester M-14
The M-14 has always been one of my favorites. I had the chance to use one in the military. The prior reviews sum it up. I have been enjoying target shooting from my back porch.
ProsLooks and feels like the actual minus the weight. No problems with B&B'S or high velocity pellets. The iron sight are great but I added the scope for longer range and honestly.....the look.
ConsI wish additional mags were offered as an option at the time of purchase.

Great Rifle!
Super light (plastic makes it), powerful and accurate, love it! I use it with bulk air adapter from Steel Storm/Force and that makes it super powerful, more economic and shooting longer. Super accurate with Umarex Match pellets 7.40 gr.
Even more accurate with a generic M14 scope mount (fits perfectly).
300 rounds through and absolutely no problem with jamming or anything.
With lots of spare magazines, long time great fun!
Proslight, accurate, incredibly low price, powerful, good sights, semi-auto, looks real
Consnone (maybe plastic, but that's ok)

M-14 rifle
I loved this rifle when I first got it. It shot very strong, and accurate. It would have got a 5-star rating at that point. However, after about 5 reloads of Co2's, (it takes two) it quit excepting them, and just emptied all the gas out of the rifle. Had to send it back. Have reordered it again? Will reserve judgement before I give it a higher rating.

After reading a lot of reviews I decided to purchase this rifle actually to get my shopping cart over the free shipping hump.. I own several real M1As and the detail is correct although very "plasticy". Didn't work well with the first two brands of pellets I tried so I loaded it with BBs. Ran just perfect, so I'll have to try some more pellet types to find one it likes.
ProsGreat price from AGD. Shoulders well for an adult.
ConsPellet fussy. AGD don't seem to sell the spare magazines. Will have to buy from someone else.

Nice, but flimsy
I like the mechanism for the CO2 cartridges, great design. The rifle is accurate in appearance, but there is way too much flimsy feeling plastic. They should either add more metal ( especially the outer barrel, sights and scope mounts), or at least go to a heavier duty synthetic.
With my eyesight, and wearing progressive bifocal glasses, I haven't had much luck with the stock sights. Once I get the scope mounted though, I'm sure all will be fine.
The only bad feature to the gun, is the excessive difficulty to get the magazine to properly lock in. I am quite sure the company could easily remedy that if they wished.
Overall I am happy with it.

Realistic Replica Air Gun
I had the opportunity to "fire" (blanks) through a real M-14 in an ROTC field training exercise. Other than being lighter than a real M-14, this gun is very realistic looking. I had a problem with the magazine that came with it. I had to push VERY hard and simultaneously push the magazine release (opposite side) to get it to "click" in. However, I just happened to also be firing my Gamo MP9 at the same time and discovered that the magazines are identical! The mag that came with the MP9 worked just fine in the M-14. And the mag that came with the M-14 that I was having trouble with in the M-14, worked like a charm in the MP9. I think that it is temperamental with magazines. I plan on ordering lots of spare mags since they are interchangeable.
