Great shooter
August 3, 2013
This is one of my favorites. I've found this gun to be very accurate and enjoyable to shoot. Everything operates smoothly and it's simply a joy to handle and shoot. I also own the Umarex Walther CP88 competition version which is nice but I find this Umarex Colt 1911 to be more accurate, much nicer grips, easy to use and smooth operating slide release and safety. If I had to choose between the two, this would be my pick.
Pros:
Accuracy is great. Quality construction and feel. Smooth operation.
Cons:
None I can think of, unless price is an issue, but you get what you pay for and I believe this one is worth every penny.

GREAT GUN!!!
April 22, 2012
I've had mine about a month now and i love it! Looks and feels real, and the Co2 use is incredible, i get through all 8 of my rotary clips two and a half times (eight shots a piece) before i need another cartridge. I've already put about 500 of the gamo match diablo pellets through it and it almost feel like its getting more accurate (even though I know it's just me). it would be cool if you could rack a slide on it and it comes in a matte black finish not the gloss in the picture, but these are small things when compared to how great and lifelike this air gun is.
Pros:
accurate, good weight, looks like its should, phenomenal Co2 use,
Cons:
nothing, its great as is

Quality Gun
October 25, 2010
Very accurate and reliable pistol. It's a pretty quiet gun so it won't disturb any neighbors. Not too CO2 is used, I can easily get 80-120 shots out of each cartridge. The weight and feel of it is very similar to a real Colt.

AFTER MANY COMPARISON AND AFTER I READ COMMENTS ABOUT MANY BRANDS OF CO2 GUNS I DECIDED TO BUY COLT 1911 GOVERNMENT BLACK , IT LOOKS WONDERFULL AND REAL ,AND ITS WEIGHT AND FEELING IS AMAIZING ,,VERY ACCURATE BUT IT DOES EAT CO2 ,AND ITS LOUDNESS IS VERY LOW ,I HADE GAMO P-23 ITS VOICE IS REALY LOUD WICH I LIKE I DON,T KNOW IF IT IS RELATED TO THE VALVE OR THE DESINE OF THE GUN ,,ALSO U HAVE TO KEEP OILING THE GUN ALL THE TIME, ANY WAY IT DESERVE TO PAY AND BUY THIS STRONG BEAST, ,

Feels like the real deal
February 2, 2009
Great quality gun. Actions are smooth and reliable. Feels like the real deal in your hand (except no kick...if you want kick, better to get the Beeman P1). Power is lacking too (P1 is much more powerful). Fun to shoot a few magazines. I have not found it to be too accurate. Best part about the gun is the feel and high quality of the craftsmanship.

colt 1911-a1

when the pistol arrived i was impressed. it shipped in a regular pistol case and when i opened it it looks just like a real 45. after shooting it a bit, it's accuracy is great. i just wish it had more power. after sighting it in i was shooting at a asprin bottle from several distances,5,10,15 and 20 feet away. the accuracy was the same but the under powered shots sent some of the pellets coming back at me. the gamo pba pellets work better(a little bit more power). last, it's hard to tell how much gas is left in the cartridge, some shots are so slow you can see the pellet going down range. still it's a very cool gun and worth getting one.

How is the power on this gun? I have read a few reviews saying that the power is not very good, but frankly I don't want to have believe that. Anyone?
