Nice gun!
January 14, 2013
I shot hollowed pellets into my fence about 10 meters away. The pellets completely went inside the wood of my fence. The temperature is about 0 C. The performance and accuracy are very good. In warmer seasons, it should have more power.
Pros:
Accuracy and power.
Cons:
It would be better if it was a .22' and 495FPS

Very nice pellet gun. A little on the pricey side but well made. Do not purchase extra magazines as they are not the same quality as those you will recieve with gun. You will end up only using the two mags that come with pistol any way.
Pros:
Well made.
Cons:
Price is a little steep.

Good shooting pistol
April 10, 2010
I enjoy shooting this pistol more than the 4" version that I own. the co2 lasts for about 80 shots. The barrel is longer so there is a little more speed. You will like the weight of the gun. I have to qualify every year so this is a good practice gun. I don't have to go to the range every time I feel like practicing. I have friends come over and we have some shooting competitions. Great fun and cheaper than buying real bullets. Don't forget to order the extra three pack magazines.

Great Gun!
April 9, 2010
This is as good as an inexpensive, non gun powder gun can get. I've had mine for about 5 years and it has been a lot of fun. I also think it's a great tool for teaching powder fire arm handling to the squeamish. It's weight and the trigger pull are very "powder" like. Mine was cheaper than it is now... bread was a nickel and you could ride your horse all day and never see anyone... sorry, I thought I was my grandfather for a second. All in all this is a great air gun. Peace and Love.. Peace and Love, Ringo

good, but expensive

this gun is very good, but wicked expenive. had it for a while and it still shoots well, but low powered. I suggest shooting at a 5 to 25ft range to hit some thing, 15 is probably the best range though. the trigger is easy to pull and you can pull back the hammer for more accuracy, as it shortens the trigger pull length. this gun eats co2 very fastly but is fun to shoot when full. i would only suggest to buy this if you want to spend the money

Nice toy
November 7, 2008
I purchased this air pistol for the quality promised by the Smith & Wesson reputation. I previously bought the cheap plastic Crosman lookalike which, well, was a wildly inaccurate, altogether boring, cheap plastic lookalike. You do get what you pay for in this case. The S&W is all-steel, including the pellet cylinder, which loads somewhat similarly to the real thing. Curiously, the gun is a little heavier than an actual S&W 6-in. barrel .357 magnum. On the other hand, your face doesn't get sprayed with gunpowder when you shoot it. Though technically it's not a toy, in reality that's exactly what it is; neither powerful enough for hunting nor accurate enough for tournament use. Hyper velocity pellets do make it almost as lethal as a real .25 automatic at close range, for those who might get a kick out of shooting something point blank, or want to pretend to be a Mafia hit man assassinating a leftover Halloween pumpkin. Overall, this toy gun shouldn't be this expensive, but as toy airguns go, it genuinely rocks.

Quality pistol
June 2, 2008
after firing friends Gamo and crossman semi auto type air pistols i was'nt too impressed with the quality, the tip up barrels did'nt seem to lock up tightly and were'nt very accurate. Also The lockwork to rotate the cylinders seemed rather fragile. I decided to spend more money for something better. i decided on the 5866 after reading many positive reviews. the lockwork is metal as is the entire gun and seems very sturdy and positive. Weight is realisitic. the gas cylinder loading system is very nice as no gas leaks when changing. sights fully adjustable with 3 different width front blades. action and trigger pull are not quite as smooth as the real thing ( i have a SW 66 357 ) but that is to be expected and may improve with more use. accuracy is good, quarter size groups at 30 ft, probably better if i was a better shot. Comes in a foam lined plastic case with cutouts for extra pellet and gas cylinders etc. this is an expensive gun, but worth the money IMO. Should last a lifetime. I would give 5 stars but i am rather new to C02 pistols and there might be something better out there, although i am happy so far with my purchase.

By alec from marshall tx on June 14, 2012
What type of battery does it have?
By Cole from Richmond, BC on June 26, 2012

Answer:
None, it uses Co2.

By John from Kapaa, Hawaii on August 19, 2012
How long does the CO2 cartridge last when you are not using the weapon and it is installed in the gun?
By Staff on August 21, 2012

Answer:
It can last a week or more sometimes. But it is not good for the seals on the gun. It wears them down a lot faster when stored for periods of time like that with co2 in the gun.
