Good Back Up
June 12, 2014
I've used this once just to see how it works. I ended up getting many more good shots out of it than predicted. I believe it was close to 80. It drops off very quickly though and I ended up leaving a round in the barrel because there wasn't enough power left to shoot the gun. So, really stop and change cartridges at the first sign up power going down. It was very easy to install. Just be sure to screw it in all the way. First time I thought I had it in all the way and the gun wouldn't shoot. Took it out and screwed it in again and found there was still another 3/4 turn left. Then things were fine. I wouldn't recommend it, not because it's not a good product. It's actually made very well and works even better than advertised. It's just that you can shoot the 850 quite cheaply on 88gr CO2. Check out The 850 Store for details on how. This product is marketed as a back up to the 88gr CO2 bottles, and it's just not necessary.
Pros:
Made very well. No cheap materials Easy to use More shots than is advertised (of course, depends on temp.)
Cons:
Not cheap!

`You get what you pay for. The price is high but you can unscrew the adapter from the rifle (Hammerli 850) and the CO2 is still in the adapter!!! This is a great way to use 2 CO2 powerlets. Use a penny between the powerlets (Crosman) to puncture both but if you don't you still get the same power but for less shots. That is how CO2 works. It is truly worth the money as a 90 gram cylinder costs around $6.50 at Walmart. That is 7.5 12 gram powerlets or $3.75. (40 powerlets for $19.95 is the best deal I see anywhere). 42% price break 90gm vs 12 gm !!! Actually 49.875 cents per powerlet but who's counting :) Every 7.5 powerlets would give you $3.75 savings per fill so after 198 powerlets or $200 bucks the adapter pays for itself (It is free after 200 powerlets) !!!! In 3 months I have used 80 powerlets so get the adapter!!!! Or use 30.46 x 90gm cylinders and incur no savings period. 6000 rounds goes fast if you love this hobby like I do!!!!!
Pros:
Fine engineering, cost savings, ability to "unload" without wasting entire CO2 powerlets. I don't think there is an "O" ring here only like a quick coupler type situation but I could be wrong on this. This adapter is quality built like a tank in Germany.
Cons:
None.

Q&A
By Constant from Quebec (Canada) on May 6, 2012
I got a co2 air gun, an Extreme co2 Gamo. Doe's this adapter work on my gun, because it is a cause of frustration to waste the expensive 88 gr co2 cartridge when you shot just a few shots and you must remove the cartidge to avoid damaging your gun?
Thank you for answer.
Best regards, Constant O.

Answer:
It can work with many guns that would use the .88 gram Co2 canisters, though it does not fit all guns.
