My Refurbished, Crosman Model 1088 came in a brown box with instructions and one 8-shot rotary clip. I purchased a pack of clips and pellets. The pistol looks good with only a couple of scuffs on the plastic to show it is not new. The action (trigger pull and clip installation) is firm and feels good. The accuracy is much greater than my bb pistols, largely due to the rifled barrel I believe. This is a good quality pistol and being refurbished it is a great value.

Pros
Cost, Accuracy.

Cons
A bit light to represent a "REAL" pistol.

This semi-automatic air pistol?

asked bini

You just have to cock it, which takes no effort.

does this thing take pellets or just BBs?

asked Marc

It takes both. It is rifled so it is great for pellets.

Hi Jordan. Happy to answer your question. This superb little gun takes 4.5mm lead pellets or steel shot. You will also need 12gm co2 Cartridges.

Hi, I am a new buyer for this and I have a few questions. First of all, is this a reliable item? Will I have problems in the future with this gun? When I do buy this gun what will I also need to buy with it? What kind of ammo, etc?

asked Ben

Should I buy extra magazines for this or is the one it has fixed in the gun? Sorry, never had one before.

asked Cliff

How do I load bbs in this rifle? My friend gave me one and I haven''t been able to figure it out.

asked shelley

Can you leave the co2 cartridges in for storage or do you have to remove the cartridges prior to puting the pistol away? What is the major complaint about this gun? I plan on using this for plinking and pest control(rats and mice).

asked Ken

I usually take the cartridge out to avoid permanently compressing the rubber seal. I haven't used the pistol yet but I usually don't have major problems with them. Finally I plan to just use this pistol for plinking in my back yard.
