Amazing gun
June 13, 2011
Easy to reload, very accurate, high damage, easy to load bbs, fun to shoot, not heavy at all, realistic looking, just an awesome gun, especially for the price, for anyone who wants a gun to just have an awesome time with without getting mad about bad features, which it doesnt have, i would highly recommend it, and its a great price, i love it!!

A really fun gun. Several option for rate of fire. Much more accurate than I thought it would be. Single shot mode will stick BB's into plywood at plus or minus 20 yards. I'm impressed and addicted to shooting it. Got the bulk tank adaptor, hours of fun. stock up on BB's. Nothing is safe when I'm blasting away.

One bad buy
June 24, 2014
This gun is extremely over rated. I own several air guns and they are guns I am proud of. This gun will definitely not stay in my collection due to it is a real embarrassment with its quality and performance.
Pros:
None
Cons:
Very low on power. Miss fires, has extreem stray shots often. Is not accurate over 10 feet. This gun is a real lobber at any thing over 30 feet and not accurate at all. The BB loading slide cover slides open when you don't want it to. Loading the chamber is a pain due to the fact of having to shake the heck out of the gun to get it loaded each time. This gun is built like a cheap toy and a real peice of junk.

April 14, 2014
This gun is a great weapon to go crazy on targets. It reloads very quickly so you can keep shooting. also the 88 gram co2 is a must if you are going to shoot this many rounds.
Pros:
30 rounds with 6 shot burst is awesome. almost like full auto. very fun.
Cons:
when co2 get low it will misfire, but that is a sign to change co2. Battery operated.Don't use cheap batteries

My first full-auto bb gun. Its a blast!
Pros:
pretty powerful. very affordable. 88gram CO2 with option for larger refillable tanks with adapter. cool looking. fun
Cons:
pain to keep reloading the mag when shooting full auto would be nice to have option of unlimited full auto vs just a 6 shot burst

This thing is a hoot! I sat up a pop can about 20 yards away and chewed it to pieces. I had no idea a BB gun could be so much fun!
Pros:
I love the sound of it. It sounds like a suppressed machine gun. The power of the gun is shocking to me.
Cons:
I don't much care for the hassle of having to shake the BB's down into the built in magazine. The gun has to be just right for the BB's to fall into place.

Fun to shoot, terrible to fix
January 29, 2013
I've been through 3 of these guns. All 3 had firing issues. I would pull the trigger and either nothing happens or a very small amount of air is produced and the BB rolls out of barrel. The third gun lasted 2 days past the warranty and failed the same way. Now I have to repair it myself because umarex does not fix or supply parts. The design inside the gun is horrible and could have been much better. It is fun to shoot when it works. Umarex customer service is horrible. Spend the extra 100 and get the droidz, it's a much better gun and better customer service. Get the bulk air for the ebos or spend too much on Co2.
Pros:
8 round bursts are fun and gun is kind of accurate.
Cons:
Terrible support and quality of entire gun is horrible. Eats batteries and Co2. Almost no mods. Umarex does not even tell you how to maintain the gun besides to put oil on all moving parts.

e b o s BB MACHINE GUN
November 12, 2012
This BB machine gun is really all about FUN. I have fired over 1000 BB's through it without a failure!!!! Talk about shredding aluminum cans!!!! Its accuracy is better than I expected. On 8 round burst mode, just look down the side of the gun and watch the stream of BB's blow away the target. They didn't make BB guns like this when I was a kid. I'm 67 years old, and have never had so much fun with a BB gun!!!! Thanks!!!! AIRGUN DEPOT I highly recommend.
Pros:
Handles well, accurate, easy to load and UNLOAD!!!!!! Wow...
Cons:
No complaints!!!!!

UMAREX will not repair this item if out of warranty.
November 8, 2012
I purchased the UMAREX EBOS in November 2011 for my son. He used it with no problem and enjoyed it for about 3 weeks and it jammed. We finally received a warranty replacement in Feb 2012. My son used the replacement 2 times and it started leaking air around the trigger but he continued to use it because it was only a small amount if air and he was excited to have it back. He used it for about a month and the leak got worse. When I called for a return number they told me that it was no longer under warranty and they never do repairs only replacements. I would gladly have paid for repairs. They told me they would give me a discount if I would buy another one. Who would ever want to do this? Not me!
Pros:
While it works, it is great.
Cons:
It is not reliable.

Umarex EBOS Tactical BB Rifle
June 26, 2012
Very fun gun. The EBOS is well worth the money in my opinion. I also bought the compensator, and added some expanding foam to the inside making it very quiet. Added a bipod and flashlight to it as well and a Walther red dot sight. Chronograph testing on a warm day (84 degrees f) resulted in 570 feet per second in single shot mode! Better than advertised and better than I expected. I used a thin piece of cardboard between the batteries and the compartment door so they don't drain when not in use. Then I just crack the compartment door open slightly and slide it out and I'm ready to go. This way i don't have to remove the batteries when the gun is not in use.
Pros:
Price, features, velocity
Cons:
What's not to like?

June 3, 2012
I had my Umarex EBOS for only a few days when the built in magazine stopped feeding. I sent it back to Airgundepot for an exchange. When the EBOS operated it was very enjoyable. I hope that this was just a fluke. There are always possible defects in any product. My true rating of this product would be higher had I had a longer experience. I would not make a decision to buy or not based on my experience. You can always send it back if a problem occurs from the start. I would suggest reading other reviews before buying. Be informed.

This is a Sweet little BB gun. I can consistantly hit my target at 100+ feet without optics.
Pros:

Nice gun but could be better
April 17, 2012
I have a descent collection of BB/pellet and airsoft guns (23 total) and this is my first BB SMG. The gun shoots great right out of the box and I did a barrel extension to it. I also put a dot sight on a high mount to clear the BB reservoir. Shoots great but I am not able to get tight groups beyond 15 yards. (maybe it's because it has a smooth bore barrel?) but still packs TONS OF FUN! Note to others - if you fill up the BB reservoir to the max it will be harder to load up the magazine underneath it. Also, my gun's spring powered magazine "pusher" tends to stay at a certain spot along the guiding rail so sometimes I get blank shots (no BB shooting out) due to the pusher not pushing the BBs to the feeder.
Pros:
High FPS for single shoot. Rate of fire. Noise the gun makes while repaid firing.
Cons:
Bigger stock for bigger air source cylinders. Better feed springs for the magazine.

Eats co2
February 8, 2012
The co2 ends up costing alot. You get maybe 10 minutes shooting for a full co2 to run out. the co2 cost $10 dollars for one can. I liked the guns eight shot burst it tore cans apart . I had to return the gun because it will cost to much to shoot which was disappointing. Other than the co2 the gun has great fps. One more thing the barrel was plastic which if your getting this for your kids one it will break.
Pros:
eight round burst Good fps
Cons:
plastic and eats co2

Fun to shoot
January 1, 2012
This is strictly a fun plinker and it is a real blast to shoot, I like the way it loads because it keeps you shooting without any real reloading Mine is a little temperamental at times and I have a little trouble with the burst selector.
Pros:
Fun, fast and easy
Cons:
Its kind of ugly. And it shoots like a garden hose I don't even bother with the sites.

EBOS
January 1, 2012
This happened to be my first BB rifle purchase and I couldn't be more pleased! I really liked the size of it as I'm of average size and build (5'8" 145lbs). I was surprised at the heft after fully loading it, it definitely increased and made it more substantial. I must advise, make sure you load it with fresh new batteries! I had put some in that I thought were "good to go" and was left dumb founded as to why this new gun wasn't firing. It made clicking sounds so initially I didn't assume it was the batteries but after going through the process of elimination (changing the CO2 canisters, trouble shooting) I changed them with "newer" ones. This seemed to do the trick as I pulled the trigger and they popped, zinging out the end of the barrel (every setting was on MAX, of course!). I was outside so don't let troubleshooting something make you complacent and do something foolish like squeezing the trigger indoors haphazardly! I do plan on purchasing new batteries the next time I'm out and about. I recommend this rifle due to its inexpensive price tag, ease of use and it's just an overall fun thing to shoot with its 8 round burst mode. It does empty its built in magazine fairly quickly so I would also suggest, along with new batteries, buying a lot of BB's and extra CO2!
Pros:
Cheap price tag, 8 round burst mode (variable selectors), design, overall weight & size (fully loaded)
Cons:
Battery door - I would like to have seen a better fit, possibly a twist lock. Side rails - Functioning side rails would have been nice. Barrel - A metal barrel with extension capabilities. Safety switch - Having it next to the grip would be nice.

fun little gun, not a toy.
December 7, 2011
I am in the line of shooting people killers, but I wanted to shoot around my backyard. in 540 single shot, a steel BB would be lethal to a small animal or cause serious harm if you are goofing around. I was curious and put a single 540fps in my garage wall, it's stuck in the plywood after it easily slipped through the interior wall. I am not too impressed with the 4 and 8 shot bursts, for they are very slow. I am running 20oz CO2 tank on a coil line. It should have plenty of air behind it, but I am not sure how the air chamber is set up. Fun!
Pros:
Powerful in single shot Good looks and has good hold. Lots of fun.
Cons:
Recommend the adapter for larger tank smaller tanks lose pressure quick and start to add up. Burst just sucks, sorry.

Umarex Easeful Brawny Occision System (EBOS)
November 14, 2011
Instead of the AirSource 88g CO2 cartridges, I used the JT 90g CO2 cartridges, because you can get two for only $11.95 locally at Walmart. This seems to work just as well at the 88g CO2, but much cheaper. I'm still amazed how powerful this BB rifle is. I shot through 6 layers of cardboard box and two carpets to break the plastic chair behind that was holding everything up. Plus, with the Red Dot laser I mounted on the bottom rail, the EBOS is extremely easy to use and aim with, not to mention amazingly accurate. I love this BB Rifle!
Pros:
This airgun feels very solid. There are rails everywhere I would need them. It shreds stuff from 50 feet.
Cons:
If you fill the reservoir with more than 200 BBs, it can prove cumbersome to shake them into the built in clip. You need a laser in order to get a high accuracy, because the sights are really wide.

A lot of fun, if you've been thinking of this I say go for it. Two or three 4 round bursts on a creek near you will surly bring a smile to your face. I'm gonna hook up a high pressure tank and hose and get a little more power in cool weather and the tail end of the bursts will pick up strength too. Power is very good to 200 shots or so then drops down a knotch but is still good for another 50+ shots. Loading the 24 rounds in the mag by shaking is a little bit of a pain but with a little practice it might not be to bad. Check out some forums for mods for even more fun.

An Effective Weapon in Closed Quarters!
July 26, 2011
I ordered this gun as a defensive backup when dealing with an unfriendly pitbull who lived in the other side of the duplex until recently. I own the duplex, but I had trouble getting the woman next door to get rid of this dog, who was harrassing my cocker spaniel, and the dog has barked and charged at me. The afternoon the gun came, I tested it in the front yard. BB's did stick in the front fence. The next morning I went outside and the dog growled at me and took a couple of steps my way. I returned this expression of hostility with electronic bursts of steel. The dog stood his ground for a moment, so I continued firing. Then the pitbull ran. The green dot from the laser site kept up with the dog and proved worth the investment. At one point, the mongrel hid behind some boards. The pepper spray I had in my pocket did an effective job of flushing him in the open, and I continued firing until his owner opened the door and he ran to safety. The next morning I did the same thing. After that, the dog moved for health reasons. The EBOS proved to be accurate, reliable with unsurpassed stinging power. Five stars across the board.

Cool for a bb gun
May 25, 2011
For the money, it's a cool BB gun as BB guns go. I got to fire one of these and it was fun. The FPS really falls off when you switch to the 4 and 8 shot mode. Best to be quick on the single shot mode. The magazine only holds 24 BB's (400 in the reserve) and it you can blow through a set pretty quick. I need to figure out how to bypass the magazine and go straight from the reservoir and be able to hook up a paintball tank to it for all day fun. Be sure to get a a laser. You'll need it for any kind of accuracy.

This is one of the funnest rifles to shoot. May I make a suggestion? Do the modification and go with bulk Co2, I did and its awesome ! No problems at all, easy to load the magazine easy to install batteries, lots of shooting options to choose from. I can tell you it is allot of fun and I went through 3000 BB's a the local shooting range and 2- 20oz Co2 tanks, all this without a glitch and more fun than should be allowed. No drawbacks, rifle is light but heavy enough, no jams, no mis-fires, just perfect shooting. I suggest bulk air modification, laser beam, and a scope. Then it complete

Great Tactical Airgun (One Flaw)

The Umarex EBOS is a great Tactical Airgun. It is very fun backyard BB Gun with powerful and acurate single and burst shots. Peirces plastic with ease and tears cans up! I highly reccomend CO2 conversion.(see youtube) Although the EBOS does have one flaw, leaving the batteries in the handle for the electronic trigger will drain even the best batteries very quickly. Must have. get a laser with this gun!! If ur going to buy this gun, i reccomend Alot of co2. does run out fast but its so worth but if u do get a laser get a green one. its easier to see to the human eye other than red lasers. and lasers make this thing 95% accurate. only problem is i dont know any normal stores that sell co2 for this gun, does it only take 88 gram? stuff is expensive o.o but worth it.

Got my EBOS today. I own two MP66K Drozd's and when I saw the EBOS and the lower price I had to try it out. Wow. The power is amazing. Much much much more power than the stock Drozd. I souped my two Drozd's up and the EBOS still seems more powerful out of the box. Loud and sexy too! The accuracy even with a smooth barrel seems close enough that I have to say they are even. No problem at 50 feet shredding a soda can to confetti with 80-90% hits. The materials on the Drozd are hands-down better. It is a MIL-SPEC polycarb frame and rifled steel barrel and steel magazine etc. You get what you pay for in this regard. The EBOS is not cheap or low-rent. There is a lot of well-finished plastic but it is plastic, not polycarb. The engineering is first rate. Great trigger, very well-engineered BB reservoir and a decent spring loaded magazine. Easy and fast to reload and fill with BB's. I don't know how long the EBOS will last. My Drozd's are coming up on 3 years old and they are still working great. I have to say that for grab and go the EBOS is hands-down my first choice. For the money it is a steal. No contest. Congratulations UMAREX for a home run.

The EBOS was worth the wait. I added a UTG folding fore-grip and a Walther MRS reflex sight. After zeroing in the sight, I can pick off two-inch targets from 7 yards in the wind, and with the FPS slider set to 300 the shots were splitting and shattering glass bottles. This is a very accurate and powerful gun. The only drawback is the 88g CO2 cartridges; I can get about 200 full power accurate shots from one cylinder out of the gun's 360 rd capacity, and it goes quick. Aside from that, certainly worth the money and a lot of fun. And now, time for a bulk air mod....

Do you need to purchase the adaptor? What is it for?
By Staff on December 29, 2011

Answer:
The bulk fill adapter is so you can use bigger refillable Co2 canisters.

This is not a necessary attachment as you can use 88 gram tanks.

I purchased a Umarex EBOS BB rifle, and would like to know maximum operating pressure. I'm looking into purchasing an adapter and 12oz Co2 paintball tank, but not sure of operating pressure. Any info would be appreciated.

Answer:
I do not use Co2 I only use green gas or propane which have the advantage of not freezing up so much when you shoot at a high rpm .

Answer:
Not sure of the operating pressure however I would highly recomend the adapter and Co2 tank. The normal tanks we went through in about 10min. Gun is a great toy and It's alot of fun but the disposable tanks go to fast. Upgrade to the paintball tank if you plan on purchasing it!

Hi, wonder if this gun is able to mount a scope on to it ?
By Staff on May 25, 2012

Answer:
this gun can have optics mounted to it. It would be more for looks than function though. The range on this gun would not require a scope.

Can a 90gram CO2 cylinder be used in the Umarex EBOS or does it have to be 88? A 90 will fit, but the gun make electronic noise only - without firing a shot.
By April Sebastian from San Diego on December 10, 2011

Answer:
The external sizes of 88g and 90g CO2 cartridges are almost identical. The thread size is the same. The length of the dog point is the same. If everything is in working condition, there is no reason a 90g will not work in your Umarex EBOS.

Trouble Shooting:
I would check that your batteries are fresh. Then, if it still isn't firing, I would check if the cartridge was punctured. After that, I would check if your puncture pin is damaged or blocked. Checking your warranty would be the next step.

Personally, I only use 90g CO2 cartridges now. I really like using JT 90 Gram Prefilled CO2 Tank, because they are very economical compared to 88g Crossman AirSource by 40% and 88g Walther by more than 50%. As far as getting more bang out of a 90g vs. 88g I would venture that you get a whole clip load more, but I haven't tested this. Feels exactly the same in every aspect except my wallet.

Answer:
Don't know about the 90g.....just use the 88g.

Where would you buy the adapter that people are referring to? If its possible, I would like to upgrade to a 12 ounce paint ball co2 canister as well. If you have any info regarding to this mod please put it in your answer.

Can compressed air be used with the EBOS instead of co2 if using the adapter? I am thinking about purchasing one and it would be great if I could just run a remote line with my 65 ci tank.

Can a scope be mounted on the EBOS? If so, any reccomendations?
By Staff on March 6, 2012

Answer:
Yes, you would need something to clear the hopper on the front of the gun. High profile rings should do the trick.
