Best on the market

By Kristopher from West River, MD on January 8, 2012
I was turned onto this pellet by my friend. He had very good results with it but i wasn't sold until i sat down and gave them a shot myself and let me tell you after shooting a hole tin i will never turn back. I have tryed shooting a wide variety of pellets and the Gamo Rocket knocks the rest completely out. These pellets fly straight and true every shot there are no tumblers. My clusters have become far more uniform and the impact force of this pellet is stronger then any i have shot.Pros:
Uniform straight flightHard Impact force
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Knock down power

By Andrew from Henderson, NV on January 7, 2012
I bought these along time ago and I use them only when there are rabbits out. It is defiantly great for bringing killing power to your target but they are not that accurate. They don't always go where u want them toPros:
PowerfulHeavy
Cons:
Not great accuracyI would recommend this item to a friend.
tisk tisk tisk....quality is bad.

By Matt from K'zoo, MI on December 20, 2011
Of the batch I got, half of them I don't want to put in my gun. The skirts are mangled. Some are missing the steal ball and have flashing coming off of them.Pros:
Nothing.Cons:
Quality.awsome

good power great penatrationbest I've found

By ktukey on February 1, 2011
I've tried five different pellets from my Remmington Vantage 1200 and these seem to pattern the best. Consistant 1/4" groups at 25yards. Haven't had any of the five I've tried throw more than a 1/2" group at 25 yards. The Gamo red fires were a close second and almost the same point of impact just not as tight of group. Will give them a try on the local squirrl population this week.Good Shot

Good!Gamo rockets

By Al on July 14, 2010
These are great! but why a low 3 rating, cause any rifle you shoot them out of you have to sight in specificallyfor this ammo. This is no doubt the best pentatrator i've used. acuracy is good but not great.
But i like em.
back yard shooting, target practice, small game hunting

these pellets do what they were intended to do which is penetrate better then an all lead pellet without completely deforming. i shoot these in clay balls at 15 yrds. and then took them out to examine them. most time the pellet goes straight threw and i don't find it. when i do most times its shape. another thing is these pellets are much longer then a normal pellet and they hit hard, but really maintain accuracy. gamo did a good job with these only theyre to expensive to become my regular pellet. $5 for 150? that's to much i can get 500 crossman premier hollow points for about $5. if you're thinking about purchasing these pellets i recommend the non lead version which is faster better for you and your barrel.Gamo Rockets

By Pest Hunter on April 24, 2010
these are good they have quite a knockdown power. killed a javelina with a ruger airhawk elite and this pellet. today I killed 3 cowbirds all were dead when I recovered them 2 chest shots and a neck shot.Good if you like heavy pellets

By Rabbit hunter the first and Rabbit hunter the seco on January 18, 2010
This pellet is a good choice for close range shots but not very good for shots past 35-55 yards (check out our reviews on the Gamo Shadow Fox which we were shooting these pellets out of). Also aren't the most accurate for longer shots because they are too long and catch wind too easily. They are very dirty and we don't want to wash them because were afraid that the ball will fall out. They have wings on the sides and we hate peeling them off. They are pretty accurate closer than 35 yards. We like heavy pellets that's why we rated 5 stars.Don't let the bad things that we said keep you from buying a pack. Maybe you'll have better luck than us.Good Job Gamo

I have just shot over 100 of these pellets at 10,20,30, and 40 feet. after 10 shots they broke though the 1" plywood. I shot them out of a RWS Diana Model 34 with No scope, I noticed they shot High in groups about 1/4" above the bulls eye.Great Pellet, Accurate, though hit high.
Pellet Jams

I just purchased a Beretta XXtreme and decided to try a few other forms of pellets, one of them being the GAMO Rocket. I'm just plinking at targets (no animals, although I did buy the gun because of raccoons) so I'm not using the pellets for hunting as their marketing suggests. Neverthelss, I still thought it would work fine in the multi-shot beretta. Unfortunately to my surprise, once the eight shot clip was loaded with the Rockets, I quickly found out that the pellets are slightly too long. Basically this pellet is made up of a very small copper ball bearing plus a lead skirt. When loaded into the clip the ball bearing is not flush with the front of the clip. I did try out a few of the Rockets and was able to load them one by one, which is a total pain and completely defeats the purpose of a clip but when I was able to fire them single shot, they did fine. JUpon impact, the ball bearing actually separates from the lead skirt. Overall and when I was able to ge tthem to fire, I did like the pellet, it just doesn't work properly in a clip. I suppose it would work well for a rifle.Amazing Pellet

By Jessie on March 8, 2009
at 40 yards with my crosman storm xt. i get about 1/2 grouping. this pellet tears threw anything raging from rabbits skulls, chipmunks, birds chest plate, squirrels, and any other small game out there. worth the buy, worth your money because they leave a nice entry hole, but massive exit hole, DROPS EM DEADnice pellet but...

By gun slinger on January 15, 2009
very nice pellets, but quite a few of the pellets had deformed skirts.Awesome impact!

By N.T.R on January 10, 2009
These pellets hit hard! Shot a soda can with one of these ripped a 5in. gash down the front! (p.s. the gun i shot with was a Daisy powerline 901)great pellet

By Garret on October 13, 2008
use it with my crosman storm xt and had a 1/4 inch group at 30 yardslethal

By jonboy on August 18, 2008
in my rws34 they deliver 1/2 inch 5 shot groups at 25 yards......and tear the heck out of a squirrel skull! a good buy!strong pellets but...

By Ralph on June 27, 2008
pretty accurate and strong but wasnt too happy with the quality control of the pellets.after comming across 3 bad pellets in a row, i decided to inspect each pellet. i pulled out at least 20 that ranged from slightly deformed to extremely deformed.
and with only 150 in the can, 20 is a 13% loss
but a good pellet... if you find one
doesnt fit in any of my pistols
.177 Rocket

If you have a Gamo Whisper this is the pellet for you.. 20 yrds you can cover every shot with a dime.. The gamo raptor sucks out of this gun pluse to loud. Five stars for the rocket...Not my favorite

By Tyler on May 23, 2008
Ok pellets but in my Gamo shadow 1000 I can hold a 1 inch group which isn't bad, but I can get better groups with other pellets. They hit really hard and have good penatration.Sweet pellet

By Tyler on April 27, 2008
This pellet is awsome I put a scope on my shadow 1000 sighted these in and I can get 4-5 rockets in 1/2 an inch from 25 yards.Perfection

By TGL on March 22, 2008
These pellets are very nice for higher powered rifles in the 1000fps rangethey knock the brains out of crows and drops rabbits easily
i use a walther break barrel 1000fps rifle and they work amzing in it!!!!!!
good pellets

By tyler on February 26, 2008
these pellets are very good because all the birds i hit almost always dropped and very accurate not good for pistolssmokin

By Danny on January 30, 2008
they hit hard far down range and superb penetration my fartherest shot 25 yards they pass through squirrels birds and rabbits the squirrel i shot it went through both shoulders cought both lungsgood for hunting

By chris on December 27, 2007
normally use crosman premier HP in my benjamin 397 and thought I'd try these. harder hitting and more accurate. not for magnum springers, thoughalright pellets

By justin on December 5, 2007
nice pelets for a winchester or crossman 100x, but for any clip loaded guns, they seem to jam up on me, very hard hitting, and accurate over longer distances, but it does seem to catch wind preety easily, 4 stars anywayVery accurate

By JGTC on July 30, 2007
This is very accurate, more accurate than the Gamo Raptor. However, due to its heavier weight, it might not work well in a pistol.Thumbs up!

By Kid Buddah on June 5, 2007
Just bought these pellets for use in my Gamo Shadow Sport. So far, I have hit my target every shot..including one not so lucky squirrel that happened apon my scope from 10 yards away...R.I.P.Decent Pellet

By Elmer Fudd on May 20, 2007
Accuracy from my gun (Winchester 1000 SB) is satisfactory. Yes they do hit hard but, at close range they have a tendency to over penetrate small game when used in the higher power guns.big difference

By Tom Scudder on April 22, 2007
Big difference between the regular loads and Rocket pelletsrocket pellets

By Matthew on April 2, 2007
This are very nice pellets. They are well made and are very accurate. The blunt tip has nothing to do with the accuracy. Nice impact to!!!awsome

By tyler on February 19, 2007
these are the greatest pellets u can buy for that price the accuracy is ok cuzz of the blunt tip but for hunting these are a great buyAirguns are designed for use by experienced shooters. Misuse or careless use may result in serious injury or death. May be dangerous up to 300 yards.
