Hatsan AT44S-10 Long QE

Pre-charged Pneumatic (PCP) air rifle with Quiet Energy (QE) technology

Out of Stock
Power to spare! If hunting isn't your thing and you just want a powerful air gun, then look no further. You'll get lots of shots for hours of plinking--sending pellets through planks of wood and flipping spinners. If you like to hunt or have some pests (squirrels, rabbits, grackles, prairie dogs, possums, woodchucks, nutria, etc.) that are destroying your garden or property, get the Hatsan AT44S-10 Long Quiet Energy air rifle. This air rifle delivers an authoritative knockdown blow that humanely dispatches small/medium-size critters. The difference between this rifle and the shorter one is that you'll get more shots between air fills (it has a longer reservoir) and higher velocities (it has a longer barrel) Hatsan uses lead pellets to determine their velocities. These are going to be by far more accurate than alloy or synthetic pellets and are probably the type of pellet you'll be using.

Hatsan AT44S-10 Long QE Air Rifle Features
  • Anti-double-feed system prevents more than one pellet loading into barrel
  • Ambidextrous synthetic stock with textured grip
  • Integral sound moderator reduces report by 50%
  • Up to 45 shots per fill (35-45 in .177 & .22, 25-35 in .25)
  • Up to 42 ft-lbs. of energy (27 in .177, 38 in .22, 42 in .25)

I bought this .25 in April of 2014, I love the gun, would have given it 5 stars but the stock has cracked at the junction of the rear receiver where the safety is located on both sides in 2018.

Pros
Very accurate.

Cons
Bad synthetic stock.

I shoot this rifle a lot--many thousands of rounds (.22) in the last year or so. I had one problem--a pin sheered and had to be replaced. I might have done this by way of accidentally dry firing the rifle once or twice. It's easy to do. So don't. This rifle shoots tight groups up to 70 yards and farther. At fifty it's absolutely dead on. It likes heavier pellets, but the magazine/drum will not accommodate the longest and heaviest pellets on the market. I've found that Exact jumbo monster diabolo [nice name] which is a 25 gr pellet, works well for most situations. This rifle is quiet, dependable, accurate, and powerful. It's also heavy--which is not an issue for bench shooters. I bet this rifle weighs more than an M1 Garrand. One fill will get you 10-15 good consistent rounds, after that--not as good, but muzzle velocity up to that point seems relatively good--and flat. Relative, that is, to some other PCP rifles.

Pros
Accurate, well made, quiet, powerful.

Cons
Heavy.

So far I have about 500 rounds through it and it shoots great. Site in was easy with a Hawke 6-24x44 scope. I did not clean the gun prior to shooting and am putting pellet in pellet at 30 yds and sub 1" groups at 50yds. It should get better on a calm day. This thing hits small game extremely hard especially with the JSB 34 grain pellets. JSBs shoot the best so far. Not a gun you would want to carry around the woods all day, it's heavy. All in all it's a great gun for the money.

Pros
Very accurate, well built, great adjustable trigger

Cons
Heavy

I have the .25 caliber, shoots JSB 25.4 grains ave around 860fps, get around 20 shots at the top of the power curve, 20fps spread. 50 yard accuracy is in the 1 inch group size. Limited mostly by the shooter / scope in my case. Shoots several pellets well. Cons: Weight, length, sling stud placement. This is a great gun for target shooting - for hunting not the most maneuverable, best for sitting, small hunts, open areas. Wish the magazine could hold Predator Polymags - too short of a span. I hand pump this with the Hill MK4 pump - its really not bad if you shoot 3 magazines then repump. The shorter gun AT44 air cylinder fits the long, which reduces weight for hunting with a loss of a few shots. Love this gun.

After getting the AT44 I took the barrel off removed the O ring and cleaned it with a brush and patches and I’m glad I did it was in bad shape. After putting the gun back together and the scope on took it to the range and really got some great groups for the rifle.

Pros
The side leaver cocking is nice and really like the adjustable trigger

Cons
Heavy

Love, this rifle. Accurate, quiet and lots of features and upgrades available. I’d shoot mainly targets at 25 to 35 yards. Getting quarter size groups. It could be smaller groups but it’s me not the rifle that needs improvement. Ha

Pros
Quiet, well balanced, powerful.

Cons
None I can find

This is my first PCP and will not be my last. The trigger is awesome. I have played with the adjustment but set it right where it came. It is crisp and predictable. I set a Leapers scope on it and had it sighted in in less than 5 shots. I became aware that most of the rounds were going into one during the sight in process. I have yet to clean the barrel. I am hooked on PCP's and Hatsan

Pros
trigger accurate

I LOVE this gun - so much so that I just bought the Bullboss also in .25cal because it is based on the AT44 platform. Accurate and easy to shoot. My particular one likes a slightly larger pellet. It seems to love the 6.38mm ones the best. At 25 yards with JSB Exact King's measured to 6.38mm it will do one ragged hole with 9 shots that can easily be covered by a dime. I haven't stretched it out beyond that yet because my range is setup at 25 yards. I also love the adjustable trigger! I didn't mess with the first stage or the follow through, I just lightened the 2nd stage to 2 pounds and that works great for me. Very easy trigger to adjust.

Pros
Accurate Trigger

Cons
Heavy

This gun shoots as advertised, 870 fps with 25 grain lead pellets which is over 42 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle. Accuracy at 60 yards is very consistent; always a few stray shots due to pellet differences but a full 9 shot magazine will usually be covered with a quarter. Gun is so quiet that the ping sound was more annoying than the report. I inserted a small bristle brush into the air chamber as described on U-tube and now this gun is truly whisper quiet. Refill with an air tank is so much better than the hand pump workout. Gun is heavy but that makes it even more stable for benchrest shooting. Magazines feed flawlessly and the rifle can be decocked however this overrides the anti double feed protection so be careful if you do that. I accidently shot double pellets after decocking and they hit within 1 inch of each other at 60 yards. Great job Hatsan!

Pros
fps with Hatsan is with lead pellets not light alloy so more truthful listing

Cons
Heavy gun for hunting.

While everything I have heard about this gun is great. Even from trusted, experienced air gunners. I believe this gun is great my self as well. The reason i have to lower its review is because my gun was defective. the air tank and shroud were very crooked from each other, and upon shooting the gun I found it was horribly inaccurate. even at 10 yards every shot would land in a different spot. 3" groups from that close is horrible. Considering I was using 18.1 jsb's, a 3x9x40 scope, and a gun vise/rest/mount. While this doesn't represent the guns true abilities, it does say something about quality control OR the fact that they could be damaged easily in storage or shipping. not 100% sure what was directly causing the inaccuracy, probably bent shroud?? IDK.. Thankfully AirGun Depot took care of the issue pretty easily and aloud me to have the at44 qe long exchanged. I switched to the Bull Boss though and payed the difference. Everything about the gun was great other than what I stated, and I WOULD have liked it a lot if it wasnt damaged. in conclusion, great gun but theres a possibility of getting a bad one. Either way airgun depot was great and has a good return service.

Pros
powerfull, 40+ shots, nice cocking action, 10 shot mag, removable air cylinder eve while pressurized, very quiet, stable.

Cons
heavy gun! dont want to be carrying this walking around all day. very long as well so that makes it worse to carry. when I say long I mean long! way bigger than what I consider to be a normal rifle, but it is the long version so i shouldnt complain. also mine was horribly inaccurate.

What the best mount sidewinder 30 for this gun

asked William

Love this gun but I am having some challenges with charging. I may be doing something wrong but I am having some issues airing up. I have a Hill pump which seems to be working fine, however the O-rings on the charging "nozzle" (probably a more accurate term for that). They seem to get chewed up very quickly and having leaking at the nozzle site. Any suggestions?

Hey guys i have a few questions 1) does this come with magizenes (if so how many) 2) does the air cylender come filled 3)can you put an air stripper on the end of the barrel or is there no threading

asked Scott from USA

This comes with two megs. And the air cylinder came with 2900 psi in it. There is a guy on eBay now that sells a replacement QE barrel cap that will accept an air stripper or a Suppressor to be screwed onto it. The seller is a new seller that machines these in his shop. I just searched at44-10 QE and seen them. Less than $15

William from USA

If you get the non QE version it has a threaded muzzle. Then, if you had both a silencer and air stripper, you could alternate them. You could never use them at the same time.

Dylan Ellis

1....yes, two magazines. 2....yes, my cylinder was filled to 200 bar. 3....No threads....it's suppressed.

Gregory A from USA

1. Yes. The gun should come with two magazines. 2. Yes. Normally the air cylinder will be filled when it reaches a customer. It may not be filled all the way to 200 bar, but it should normally have enough pressure to get you started. 3. No. Because of the design, there should be little need for an air stripper. The barrel shroud has a built in sound moderator with four chambers. There is also no threading on the end of the shroud for a stripper.

Shane

1.No 2. No 3. No

AirPert

Comes with one mag. I puchased 3 more. Don't remember if the cyl was filled. I have scuba tanks so I didn't care. There aren't threads for a stripper because it has built in suppressor. In 25 cal I shoot this in my neighborhood and no one can tell. At 40 yards on a bench all shots are in the same hole. The kids say it's boring. Put a good scope on it and you can't go wrong. Laser ranged a pigeon at 70yrds it fell like I hit it with a shotgun at close range.

William from USA

Does this rifle really weight 4.6 lbs?

asked Roberto from USA

Look at the rifle description and it will tell you colose to 9 pounds. my frien.

William Gonzalez

The description doesn't include the feet per second rating. What are the Crony results? Anyone know?

asked Tim

AGD list the ball park FPS ( feet/second) just below the caliper model selection windows. You can also find that information + ball park FPE ( ft-lb. energy) on the Hatsanusa web site.

David

Mine came in at about 850fps. It was consistent with 3 mags. Kicks the snot out of birds and squirrels out to 70 yards ( laser range finder).
