Even though FPS rates may look the same from brand to brand, that may not always be the case. Hatsan tests this rating using lead pellets, but most competitors use lighter aluminum alloy pellets. What this means for you is that your Hatsan Model 95 .22 Caliber Turkish Walnut Stock Air Rifle w/ 3-9x32mm Scope will deliver more knockdown power than an alloy-tested airgun with the same FPS rating.Hatsan airguns offer specialty features that come standard within the product line to provide shooters with a better shooting experience.

Hatsan Unique Features:

Quattro Trigger: Advanced two-stage match trigger only available from Hatsan
Shock Absorber System (SAS): Reduces vibration and increases the life of the gun, optics, and accessories
TruGlo® Fiber Optics: Microadjustable rear sight and front sight to lend more accuracy to every shot
Integrated Sound Moderator Sound moderator in muzzle break for reduced down-range noise. Includes front open fiber optic sight.
Safety: A drop safety interlock device has been incorporated to eliminate the possibility of the airgun accidentally firing if it’s dropped (whether or not the safety is on).

Love the rifle-they can keep scope.
October 25, 2014
I recently purchased this rifle after watching videos and reading written reviews. My past experience was with spring piston airguns was limited to a 1990's era Chinese made model that shot inconsistently. I have owned a Bejamin Nitro (1st Gen) for about a year and it is a smooth sweet .22 with a Charlie de Tuna trigger and a Hammers 3x9x32 AO scope. Both good and needed aftermarket products by the way. My first impression was that the mod. 95 springer is built solid. The metal is tight and the stock is nice-real wood. Fit and finish is good. All the screws were tight and all was good. The tru-glo sights are a nice bonus and I have also sighted them in with good results. After a good cleaning and scope mounting, it was time to shoot. The scope mounted easily and after about 200 rounds it has held zero. But the scope glass in my humble opinion is poor. The image is never as clear as it should be even when the eye piece is adjusted. It's just OK at 3-5 power, anything higher and it won't focus clearly. So I've ordered another Hammer scope. At first , the mod. 95 seemed recoil sharp compared to the nitro, but the more I shot the lighter the recoil got. It was noisier at first but it has also quieted down. The Quatro trigger is a good adjustable trigger with a good short first stage but I'd like a lighter 2nd stage. The trigger is more than adequate and far -far better than what came on the Benjamin. As for accuracy, I give a slight edge to the Hatsan 95. Both the Nitro and the Hatsan 95 shoot well with the Crossman Premier 14.3 gr. HP. The Hatsan 95 springer shot consistently tighter groups (nickel size 5-shot at 15 yds and quarter size at 25 yds. and had fewer flyers.) despite the sharper, albeit minimal recoil, crappy scope and a heavier trigger. The better accuracy may be a result of the heavy weight. I was amazed that it began to shoot such good groups even after about 50 rounds. Maybe I just got a good specimen, but I like this rifle. I will adapt to the different recoil of the spring piston and with a good adjustable glass this rifle will be so sweet. I've yet to chrono it side by side with the Nitro, but the wood penetration results were comparable. If your on the fence about this rifle, get down from there and buy one, you might be as pleased as I am. I see a gas piston .22 Hatsan in my future collection.
Pros:
-Nice quality stock with good checkering and finish. -Accuracy. consistent, Accuracy. -Good factory trigger. -Rifle is strong and tight. -Good quality, adjustable , fiber optic sights. -Price point.
Cons:
-Poor quality scope. -Rifle is heavy. A sling will help for field carry.

Great gun!
May 4, 2014
The gun is outstanding as long as the scope mounts and scope are changed. Be sure to lock tight the screws too. The adjustable trigger was adjusted to the lightest setting so do yourself a favor and buy an $.18 cent screw that is a little longer from the hardware store. It's a 3mm 50 pitch thread cannot remember the length. The gun shoots small groups and kills everything I've aimed at. The wood finish was a little dull when I got it but with some old English Polish it looks amazing. Highly recommend the gun with the few small mods.
Pros:
Quality built and powerful
Cons:
Crap scope and mounts, needs longer trigger adjustment screw, and finish was dull on wood stock.

found it
April 14, 2014
I have bought so many air rifles trying to find just the right one. In the reviews this rifle has so many complaints I've always passed it by. The gun is not hold sensitive not at all it is not pellet fussy not at all. This gun is not huge nor is it small.I believe it is the proper size for an average man. this gun is not so light that its hard to aim and not so heavy that its a chore to pack around. It makes enough power to shoot threw a phone book and yet its extremely easy to cock. and it doesn't make any more noise than my least powerful gun and best of all it only cost a hundred and fifty bucks. you guys keep complaining I'm going off to make more bulls-eyes.
Pros:
everything
Cons:
nothing

Great Gun for the Money!
October 28, 2013
First Impression: Has the look and feel of a quality rifle. Nice walnut stock that could be customized to be a real beauty if desired. Gun is heavier than ideal at 8.2 lbs, looking to shave some weight off the stock, slim down pistol grip and change the clunky recoil pad with a nice butt plate. Looks like a great project, may eventually convert to gas ram. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to spend the time turning the Model 95 into a stunner. If you invest another $150, this is a $600 air rifle.
Pros:
Crazy Good Quality for $148 !!! Great Stock Nice Fit and Finish All the Power you Need Accurate
Cons:
Clunky Recoil Pad - Toss Worthless Scope - Toss Heavy - Get Gun Sling Clunky Front Sight - Replace with simple sight or quality muzzle break

Impressive!
September 7, 2013
Extremely pleased with the overall quality, feel, appearance, and functionality of this airgun. There is no point in my reiterating the features touted by the manufacturer, but instead lets get right to the heart of any gun, it's accuracy. Right away this gun shot quarter size groups at 25 yards so I started shooting 45 yards and was pleasantly surprised when it grouped 1 to 2 inches.. The power of this gun really showed off when I held dead on the target at 45 yards after zeroing at 25 yards. I then shot targets at 65 yards and still had 2 to 3 in. groups. I only held one and a half mills over at 65 yards. I have several airguns but nothing with the power of this one. It's accuracy is as good as my RWS 34 and it is more powerful. The gun was a little stiff when I first started shooting it but it soon began to limber up and cock smoothly.
Pros:
Scope slippage stop mounts built into dovetail mount on gun. Has a great trigger compared to other guns in this price range which isn't saying a lot after shooting several Crosman products.
Cons:
The 2nd stage trigger adjustment pull force could use improving since it was maxed out and was still too hard to pull to suit me. Initially I tried out the scope that came with the gun and it was pretty good for about 200 shots before it lost zero. I replaced it with a RWS 4x12x50 with AO and mil dots. and this improved the overall .shootability of the gun.

Good gun for money!!
August 4, 2013
I looked for a pellet gun for many months before I decided to get the Hatsan 95. I decided to upgrade from my Crosman Phantom 1000x (which is also a great gun) because I had it for many years and it was starting to lose power. The Hatsan 95 shots a .22 pellet at 800fps. That is amazing. I like to hunt and this will definitely get the job done. I also liked the walnut stock. It is gorgeous. I didn't see this in many guns unless they were over $300. The metal on the gun is German steel. Once again this is something you don't see in an airgun unless you pay $300. The trigger is also a main reason I bought this gun. I wanted a good trigger. Lastly, this gun has a shock absorbent system. This helps control the kick from the airgun. I did notice a few problems. The steel and wood doesn't seem to be glued all the way at the rear of the gun. It wobbles a bit. Also the scope rings included are useless. It took me 10 minuets to get them on the rail. After all of that, they mount sideways. Just buy another set of scope rings. All in all, this gun is worth the money. I would buy it.
Pros:
Trigger The trigger gives you a lot of control to customize it. It also breaks clean. Walnut stock This is a beautiful gun. You don't see walnut on guns unless you pay a lot of money. German steel This makes the gun feel well built. Power Accuracy The gun delivers hairsplitting accuracy.
Cons:
Shock absorbent system It doesn't seen to do too muck to keep the recoil down. Include scope It is worth about $20. Wish a better scope was included.

1st gun of this type
June 2, 2013
This is my first break action air gun. Takes a lot longer to load than my old Crossman pump, but it shoots a pellet way harder. It also looks/feels more real than the Crossman with the real wood. Certainly not a toy.
Pros:
Shoots cheap 22 pellets. Shoots fast for an air gun. Fairly quiet. Nice fit and finish.
Cons:
Heavy. You can't do a one pump shot to sting the trespassing animal - this thing will kill or maim for sure. Hard to break the action (maybe this isn't a con). Takes quite a bit of time to load between shots.

Awful expierence with this
April 8, 2013
When I got it, the truglo front barrel sight was glued sideways, and the rear sight was permanently crooked. I had to remove them hoping it would be worth voiding the warranty - I was wrong. The trigger guard constantly needs tightening. The scope, after breaking the rifle in unscoped lasted 10 shots before essentially exploding and launching the eyepiece into my eye. The stock screws were not matching, screwed so darn tight that one side was way off from the barrel. If you tried to loosen the screw the stock would crack. The recoil dampening system they speak of is garbage. The thing still kicks like a mule. Personally, I see hatsan arms as a careless builder. If you can look down the sights of a rifle and think that a front sight twisted sideways and a crooked rear sight is acceptable for $150, there's something seriously wrong with your company.
Pros:
Mildly accurate.
Cons:
Horrible construction Sights were useless Trigger guard is loose Stock screws are way too tight and mismatched Kick Scope is a serious hazard on this rifle

Outstanding quality
April 6, 2013
This is a shooter's gun, with a very nice stock, a fine trigger, and a design that's very well thought out. Out of the box, it's remarkably accurate. The scope is of decent quality too. For those who accuse it of being blurry and out of focus, a few minutes spent adjusting the objective (front) lens for the correct parallax will make all the difference regarding focus, and groupings. Replacing the scope rings would be a good move. There is a steel plate scope stop held by 2 screws. No more loose screws in the forestock either. There's a hefty bolt - with a locking screw - that runs through the stock. I find no faults with this rifle, and the quality far exceeds the price. Another happy owner, especially since I took advantage of the 'daily deal.'
Pros:
It doesn't seem to be pellet fussy, and it does like 14.3 gr. domed.

hatsan model 95 in 22 calibur
February 8, 2013
Pretty and accurate. I exchange a gamo silent stalker igt for this hatsan model 95. No comparison. Three inch groups with the gamo vs 10 shot groups inside of a nickle at 15 yards right out of the box.with the 95. A better gun, better scope, and better trigger.
Pros:
Pretty gun, accurate, and plenty of power.
Cons:
Heavy, about 9 pounds.

Hatsan model 95 .22 cal air rifle with 3-9-32 scope
December 4, 2012
A real good air gun for the price. Love the look of the gun and how it shoots. It's a nice heavy gun that handles real well.
Pros:
Love the way it handles, how it looks, and enough power to do the job.
Cons:
The scope, need to be upgraded.

Hatsan 95
October 7, 2012
Hard to break open and cock, I hope it gets easier. I fire about 200 pellets a day with my Crosman .22 break barrel. After firing 100 from the Hatson I got a bad blister between my thumb and index finger that is taking over a week to heal. I had to crack open the barrel by pushing against the bench with a rug but still dented the stock. The trigger pull is excellent as well as accuracy. I do not ever use the scope on any break barrel.
Pros:
Trigger and iron (plastic) sights. Stock is beautiful.
Cons:
Hard to break and cock, if I knew that before hand I wouldn't have bought it. It probably has a higher velocity than the Crosman but I don't need it.
