Because airguns are different...
The Airmax range is designed specifically for airgun shooters. Airgun shooters, whether hunting, target shooting or plinking, require specialized optical set-ups to get the most out of their rifles. The Hawke Airmax EV range offers the airgunner precision optics packed with great features.

The proven MAP6 reticle assists accuracy by providing parabolic aiming points that fall at exactly the same rate as your pellet. Hawke have done the physics so you don’t have to! Simply adjust the zero range and zoom to calibrate.

Extreme View - See more!
All Airmax scopes include our EV Extreme View optical system which delivers a field of view 20% wider than traditional rifle scopes. Target acquisition speed is increased and continuous viewing is improved.

Designed for Airgunners
Hawke Airmax rifle scopes sport a large glove-grip elevation turret allowing fast range dialing and the mono-tube body provides the extra strength demanded by airguns. All models have Adjustable Objectives enabling you to focus down to airgun ranges.

Built to last
The optical system is held within a 1” mono-tube with a matt black anodized finish. Turrets are a low profile design with ¼ M.O.A per click. The knurling on the turret caps and the zoom ring is a high grip design - the zoom ring also incorporates a thumb bump, ideal when using gloves.

Features:

  • Extreme View optical system for 20% wider field of view
  • MAP 6 Reticle designed for Air Gun trajectory
  • Wire ballistic reticle with multi-aim points

Reticle:

  • MAP 6 Reticle
  • Using an 11.5ft/lb .22 air rifle with the scope set on 6x magnification., zero the center cross at a distance of 30yds.

The MAP 6 reticle features a series of aim points for hold over and hold under and windage. Unlike Mil Dots and most other reticles the aim points are not equally spaced. The spacing is designed to work with the ammunitions trajectory so that the distance the aim points relate to is equal. MAP 6 reticles are equally at home on top of a center fire or an airgun.

Good scope for the money
March 5, 2014
Multiple reviews on different Hawke scopes lead me to purchase this particular scope for the Discovery. Scope adjustment met all my expectations for sighting in with only 5 shots to get to zero in at 25 yds. MAP reticle is great for use at 35 and 50 yds for me. Much like the mil dot on my AR it performs very well.
Pros:
Good optics and magnification. Very clear lens and MAP worked great for extended shots.Great scope for the price.I like matte finishes and this one looks good.

Finally an affordable scope that will hold up to a springer
August 12, 2012
I was so tired of the cheap scopes that come with the "combo" rifle / scope deals not staying zeroed for more than 5 or 6 shots and then the group spreading out. I ordered this scope and mounted it in the factory Benjamin scope rings that came with my Benjamin Regal NP. (It was an extremely close fit. It has to have high scope mounts when mounted to a dovetail receiver.) Shot groups were insanely tighter. It was unbelievable how much difference this scope made. It holds zero very well and I never have to make adjustments more than just a few clicks from one day to the next which is expected if you zero at night when its cool and then go shooting when its 105 degrees outside. I did have to rezero a few times if I did a lot of repetitive shooting (60+ shots). The group would stay tight but the group would move. I picked up an RWS 11mm one piece high mount and solved that problem quick. Now it's solid as a rock. The optics are really good. Good light transmission even in low light. The parallax adjustment works very well and is easy to adjust. The MAP6 reticle is awesome and is calibrated especially for 22 cal. air rifles. The third picture is a five shot group at 15 yards.
Pros:
holds zero better than any scope that comes on a combo rifle. MAP6 reticle, parallax adj., clear optics
Cons:
Haven't found any dislikes yet.

Killer Elite Scope

anything within 35 yards is dead meat with this wonderful and affordable scope. Easy to site, adjustable parallax optic, easy use MAP 6 system. Comes close to perfection on a budget.
Pros:
easy to sight, nice MAP6 retical system for perfect hits.
Cons:
the cap covers for adjusting wind-age are very thin metal and can strip easily so be gentle
