Answer:
1. Depending on range, it can hurt a person.2. BB velocity will decrease towards the end of a CO2 canister like other CO2 guns.
3. 1 CO2 canister will fire about 40-50 shots.
4. Yes, you can usually see bb's as they are shot.

Yes it'll sting when hit, and you can see the bb when you shoot and that's good so you can compensate if you need to.
