Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov began designing an assault rifle while hospitalized after being wounded in the Battle of Bryansk. He entered his design into a competition, launched by the Red Army, to find a weapon that could use 7.62 x 39mm cartridges and no jam under the adverse conditions of the Soviet frontline. It was no immediately taken up by the Red Army, but in 1949, the Soviet Union adopted on e of the models dating to 1947.
The name Kalashnikov's assault rifle the "Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947" later to be known as the AK47.

this is good and bad for many reasons

I have used this gun for almost 1 1/2 years. This means that it lasts very long because it is full metal construction and standardly a high rpm (rounds per minute). I would recommend this to a friend, but it sucks for 2 friends to have the same gun.I would definitely recommend this to anyone else, like family, hands down.
Pros:easy to handle rapid rpm metal(: adjustable stock and grip price clip size(550)Cons:minimal... sight are thin but that is very common on standard parts |

My kids fear me in the woods. Very accurate and fast. Only problem is that after so many shots(50 ish) you have to spin the wheel on the magazine to keep firing. But very happy.

The gun is great, unfortunatelly I always end up at the wrong end of the cannon (my son won't let me use it). Here are the things that I am disapointed about. 1- the sight on the cannon is tilted to the left and can't be changed position. 2- the rear sight is falling off all the time. The battery is hard to put back in place, the wire are pretty much bend and I don't expect much life before they break, the battery cover requier a little love to put back on. The sight is not a big deal because I will get a telescope eventually. But do I hate it when I get cornered and this gun is pointed at me. Good times.

the moment i got this gun i was happy i used it in a war and did not just kill them i destroyed them i made one kid cry wit 3 shots. only thing i don't like about it is the fire select it shows 1 dot then 2 and the 2 dot was semi 1 was automatic
