CO2 - Does not jam! The PT-80 looks and feels like a standard high powered pistol. It's is a 8 shot semi-auto repeater and if you're really fast, you can get off all 8 shots in about 1.5 seconds. For extreme accuracy, the PT-80 can shoot single action. Weighing in at about 1 pound, the PT-80 is 7.5 inches long with 4.25 inches of that being the rifled steel barrel. The muzzle velocity of 410 fps means you can shoot at a target trap indoors or go outside for a different style of shooting. This airgun will fire 8 Pellets as fast as you can pull the trigger! It will also fire single action, and with it's rifled steel barrel accuracy is a plus. This is one of the most popular air pistols we carry and now with the long awaited laser sight with Pressure Switch. The easy to use top loading design has been very popular with our customers. The Gamo PT-80 can reach muzzle velocities of up to 410 feet per second.

Very poor quality
May 20, 2014
I have a PT 85 which is fairly well built, nice and heavy, and great for trying to improve accuracy with a blow back. . This gun is light, very cheap plastic and the trigger is about the worst trigger I've ever experienced. The rear site is supposed to be adjustable, but it is impossible to do without it falling off!
Pros:
None really. This gun can not shoot straight.
Cons:
Poor quality. Terrible accuracy. Tragic trigger.

product is not for me
February 14, 2014
I enjoyed the pistol but it was not something that I would recommend people
Pros:
it was nice pistol to shoot very fast but not my type of gun
Cons:
the plastic feel made it feel real cheap and it needed a metalvideo to it

Price fits performance
November 27, 2013
This is a very simple gun to use and operate. The accuracy is great within 25 ft but drops off fast with 7g pellets. The sights are hard to see in dim light, I was able to dip a toothpick in some fluorescent green lure paint, to drip onto the existing white dots, it really made a big difference in fast target acquisition, I'll post a pic I took from my cheap cell phone if able.
Pros:
Good quality for price
Cons:
weak on power.

12 Months with a PT 80
September 8, 2013
I've found this to be a great "fun" pistol. It's light, easily loaded and charged with the co2 cylinders.
Pros:
Easy to use, reasonably accurate over 10-15m (30-45ft)
Cons:
Despite the advertised "no jam" system my pistol regularly jams using gamo .177 pro magnum penetration ammunition. This is reduced by using the double action option as I can check before firing that the barrel and the pellet are lined up correctly. It does mean that the repetition speed is drastically reduced. Despite this I'd still recommend this as a beginner/entry level pistol or to teach youngsters shooting & safety before moving on to other firearms.

Great starting airgun
November 30, 2012
Got the airgun last week and have been enjoying knocking cans in the basement. Good looking piece and feels good in the hand. This is my first air pistol so I can't compare it to anything else, but so far so good. Maybe a bit more power?
Pros:
Looks, feel, and balance.
Cons:
Trigger

Good gamo

Great for pinking and teaching young ones about shooting, fun, and safety.
Pros:
Good velocity. Holds air for extended period. Gamo quality and function preferred over poor quality of Crosman.

Great Gun
October 17, 2012
I wanted a handgun for target practice, one with adjustable sights. I am very pleased with this gun.
Pros:
I like the up and down rear sight adjustment. The three extra drums that are included with each gun are also very nice.
Cons:
I would like to have had a side to side adjustment.

Wow
February 13, 2011
My physics class was doing an experiment on the velocity of colliding objects, and our teacher told us to bring in our pellet and/or bb guns. The goal of the lab was to determine the muzzle velocity of various pellet/bb guns. The guns were held with the muzzles right up against a PVC pipe cap filled with foam that was resting on the edge of a wooden frame a about 4 feet from the floor. The pellet's and/or bb's would embed in the foam, and due to the laws of momentum conservation, momentum was conserved, and depending on the distance the cap traveled before it hit the floor, the initial velocity of the pellet could be calculated. When we completed the initial velocity calculations, all the guns had velocities either at or slightly below the manufacturer's ratings......except for one, my gamo pt-80. My PT-80 had an average calculated muzzle velocity of 642.7 fps, and a maximum of 686.8 fps. And that was over ten shots. I will admit that it did have a brand new co2 tank, but it was shooting standard crossman pellets. I'ts accuracy doesn't fall short either. I've taken down multiple doves and tree rats from over 20 yards. Plus the thing about running through co2 so fast is false. I get a good 55-60 shots out of the thing before I even start to notice it's giving out. I mean if you're just gonna pop off shots like crazy, that's one thing, but if you're actually aiming at something this gun lasts plenty long. Over all a really amazing pistol, It comes with 3 disc clips as well, I even got free spinner targets w/ mine!

PT-80

Wastes co2 heck-of-fast. Missfires 70% of the time. Even though it has a rifled barrell, it's about as accurate as throwing a rock, and not as fast, either.

since its release
December 26, 2008
this pistol has been in my collection since it was released and they had laser or compensator's for it. best pellet gun you can buy to plink in my opinion. never once has a stray fire through the rifled barrel. it may have some plastic parts but its of very solid construction and stands timetested.

Great for plinking around the house. I prefer the gamo match pellets. haven't had to adjust the sights. 0.5" or less groupings at about 20 feet.

Realistic - Powerful - Accurate Pistol
April 26, 2007
Very accurate pistol. No problems after over 200 rounds. Adjustable rear sight needed two adjustments and elevation was dead on at 30 feet. I purchased the PT 80 for indoor practice and shooting outdoors because it most resembled my 45 ACP. Trigger pull could be softer. Safety works great but is a little hard to switch between safety and fire modes. Should loosen up after some use. Very satisfied with this pistol.

Shreds whatever i shoot with it. punched through a can, dented the wall behind it and hit me in the chest!! be careful when you shoot it. almost good for home protection. although an actual handgun would be a better idea. highly recommended.

Great looking
January 15, 2007
I have owned this air pistol for about 3 years. PROS 1. Looks and feels like a firearm, don't aim it at a cop! 2. Reloads fast (with extra cylinders). 3. CO2 means no cocking CONS 1. Maybe I am just too used to higher powered air rifles, but I thought at 400 fps, I would have better range. 2. After a few hundred shots, the cylinders don't rotate perfectly anymore and I am getting a mis-fire about 10% of the time
