Red Ryder BB Gun

The One and Only Daisy Red Ryder
When it comes to air rifles, the Daisy Red Ryder is America’s Sweetheart. Known as the most popular BB gun ever made, its classic design and iconic name has kept this beloved lever-action at the top of wish lists for nearly 75 years.

For plinking, playing or even just for show, anyone can find a reason to love the Red Ryder BB gun. It’s a timeless treasure that symbolizes summers with friends, bonding with family members and growing up. If you’re shopping for a BB gun guaranteed to please, aim for the best with a Red Ryder.

The Red Ryder at a Glance

Sporting the look of an authentic Western rifle, most people know a Red Ryder when they see one. Today’s model stays true to its original 1938 trademark style, with a solid wood forearm and one-of-a-kind engraved wooden stock.

The Daisy Red Ryder is intended for shooting at a distance of up to approximately 16.5 feet. Its gravity-feed magazine holds a maximum of 650 .177-caliber BBs that fire at a velocity of up to 280 feet per second. Each gun comes equipped with all of the customary features, including a saddle ring with leather thong, crossbolt safety (so you won’t "shoot your eye out") and an adjustable rear sight.

Daisy's Red Ryder BB Gun Features

Most can-shootin' BB gun lovers fired their first BB through the smooth bore barrel of a Red Ryder airgun. It makes a great nostalgic gift for BB Gun veterans, while its mild-mannered shooting specs make it the perfect starter rifle for beginners.
Overall Customer Rating
Good First Gun For Kid
I purchased this gun for my daughter to teach her about gun safety and how to shoot. It is overall pretty well made. It only has to be cocked one time and isn't too heavy for her to hold up while aiming. All-in-all a great first gun for children. ~Shane T.

Order a Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun

This airgun is a cherished part of American culture that every shooter, young or old, should own. When you need a gift for any occasion, trust tradition and make someone smile with the classic Daisy Red Ryder.

The Sharp-Shooters Behind the Red Ryder

Competitors have come and gone, but no other BB gun could ever take the place of the legendary Red Ryder BB gun. Even modern air rifles live in the shadows of this industry giant. Why? Because the Red Ryder is a product that represents generations of memories, and Daisy is a brand that represents durability, affordability and safety.

We know them as Daisy Outdoor Products, but up until 1895, the makers of the legendary Red Ryder went by the name Plymouth Iron Windmill Company.

Although the company is best known for the Red Ryder BB gun, Daisy has proven to be a prominent name in the air gun industry as a whole, successfully producing and selling several different lines of air guns and ammo, and placing itself at the helm of shooting safety initiatives. It’s not hard to figure out why the Red Ryder has dominated the BB gun market for so long---”It’s a Daisy!”

After firing his first metal air rifle, Plymouth Windmill Company’s general manager L.C. Hough proclaimed, “Boy, that’s a daisy!” Sound familiar?

Some remember the Red Ryder craze from their childhood, while others recognize its name from Ralphie’s desperate letter to Santa in The Christmas Story. A reliable brand, an affordable product and an unforgettable slogan--the Daisy Red Ryder BB gun continues to stand the test of time.

It’s America’s favorite BB gun, it’s a Daisy and it’s available at Airgun Depot.
