Follow-up Review
May 11, 2011
This is a follow-up to my original review: On the fourth shooting session (about 100 pellets total) I encountered a problem with the gun. I could hear soething rattling around inside the gun and then it would not cock. I could pump but the stroke was not completing. I called airgun depot, but unfortunately it was just barely past the 30 day warranty. They did advise me to contact Umarex, which I did. I sent the gun to Umarex. They had the gun 1 day and fixed it and sent it back. They had replaced the receiver since there was a piece that had come unsrewed and jammed in the receiver. The gun now works flawlessly. I have to say I was most impressed with the service from Umarex. I figured I would be lucky to see the gun back in a month. I got it back in 10 days and most of that was shipping time. Good service all around.

Powerful, but trigger is pretty crappy.

For the refurbished price, this pellet pistol has it's place. The Browning 800 is fine for goofing-off with, but if you need to make precision shots (ie. blasting rats in the rafters) you're better off with a crisper trigger like that found on the RWS 5G. The grip is also a little small for larger hands.

Good deal for the money
March 13, 2011
I was very pleased to purchase this gun at this price. Yes, it is a handful to cock and will wear you out after a while, but it really is fun to shoot. I found it to be very accurate with open sights, but I will mount a red dot to accomodate my aging eyesight. I took me a while to figure out the best way to hold it when shooting off a bag. You will have to experiment, but once you figure it out it will shoot tight groups all day long. My only issue is with the cocking assist handle. It is sbvious that repeatedly taking it on and off will mar the blueing on the barrel. I will have to chrony test and accuracy test to see if it makes any difference leaving it on while firing. You do have to be careful when pumping so that you don't twist the handle on the cocking stroke. I see where you could twist the front sight off if you were not careful. I had been forewarrned from another review and took extra care with no issues. All things considerered I think it is a good deal at this price and definitely a big boy toy!!!

fun, fun, fun, behind this gun!
September 25, 2010
this pistol is 18" long for a pistol, one hec of a gun to cock. it takes a lot effort. do it about 50 times then you will pick up a little practice. and asked yourself dang is this gun really worth it. HELL YEAH!! it has awsome knock down power, has great accuracy with in 20yds. open sights. also comes for a price, its also heavy 4-5pds isnt light for a pistol but for me im 6' 180 its alright. it a big boy toy & i love it!! their is hardly any recoil. i found that benjamin hollow points work very well for mine. this gun blows away any co2. im guessing between 450-550fps w/14.6gr it comes with an assist, you will want it. i wrapped black tape over mine to stay on, makes it 4" longer but its better than carrying it. optic sights work well in good conditions, when there is light over head. adjustable sight ahhhh.. ok it works. it sounds like a death punch, the auto safety is a good system. their is only 30 day warranty 30days really .22 cal. you better shoot the living grease out of it. it is very powerful so from time to time this thing might need work done to it. it packs a punch. i havent had it long yet. it really feels good in balance, trigger is plastic but its smooth. a real nice feel!! if you have small pest problem this is the gun. i use a leg holster fits well w/out a scope. its my secondary weapon from npss trail. fun fun fun behind this gun taz running wild

Q&A
By stan from Oregon coast on July 3, 2012
Can you mount a scope? Does it have 11m rail or regular full size weaver or nothing, but can be rigged? Does it seem cumbersome at 18 inches long? Are the handle grips removable and do you know if the crosman shoulder stock would fit or could it be fitted with minimum effort? How is the felt recoil when firing? Given choice, if at same price, do you think the Beeman P1 in 22 pellet better, because smaller to handle? A ny othr thoughts you want to share, as I am considering buying this in refurbished?
