Refurbished Bone Collector .177
June 8, 2015
Really powerful. Moves so fast, there's no way to follow pellet. Wacks targets hard. 1300 fps is smokin fast. The report and target hits almost simultaneously from 30 yards. Report is loud, sounds like a .22 lr. Not really backyard friendly. Very accurate. Handles well.
Pros:
Light weight. Strong, accurate, easy to cock.
Cons:
Loudness, scope, no automatic safety.

Like New, Both of EM'!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 2, 2015
Looked for a Good Moderate Priced Air Gun and Found it here at AGD!!! Bought 2 Refurbished Rifles as got 2 for almost the Price of one New!!! Love these Guns as I wanted the .177 Rifle for Speed and Accuracy!!! And these Refurbished Did Just That!!! Using Gamo Tomahawk 7.8 Gr Pellets have given me dime sized groups @25 yards and @50 yards with no Real Adjustments for Zeroing at both Distance!!! What a combination for Target and Varmint Shooting as in Chipmunk, Black Crow Muggers, and some Pesky other Birds that hit my Tomato's!!! Oh, just as many have said in reviews, TOSS the come with Scope, Save your ammo, as I gave both scopes with mounts the best EFFORT and one actually blew the dial right out of the top of scope after 50 shots trying my best to use these gamo scopes!!! I bought 2 Leapers UTG 3 TS 4X32 Scopes and mounts and have put 200 rds through both guns and still hold ZERO!!! Leapers came through with a Great Cheap Priced Air Gun Rated Scope with Mounts that is Truly """Tough Strength""", GREAT JOB LEAPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For 40 Bucks for each Scope, Can't Beat Them!!! Leapers Came through for me on a very Good Quality Scope for Air Rated Scope!!
Pros:
Great Job of Refurbished by AGD as I can't find Nothing Wrong with either Gun, only a small rub mark on the cheek pad on each one!!! I all ready have some of my own rub marks on both from propping them for siting in purposes after Replacing the scope that came with these guns!!! I Love My Gamo Bull Whisper Bone Collectors!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons:
Trash the scope that comes with these guns!!! You'll save yourself some Ammo and Valuable Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very Nice Air Rifle *****
June 2, 2015
Just Love These Air Rifles (2 EA) I bought from A-G-D !!! Just as GOOD as NEW when arrived. Butt, as most reviews state, Just TOSS the Scopes and get the Leapers UTG 3 4X32 and have a Great Air Gun with a very Cheap Priced Scope that holds ZERO at 25 YDS with a Dime Sized Group!!! And This air gun holds Groups at 50 YDS at a Nickel Size without any adjustment with the 25 YD ZERO!!! Couldn't Believe it wouldn't have any Drop from 25 to 50 YDS!!!! I used Gamo Tomahawk 7.8 Gr pellets for first ZERO and held Perfect ZERO after at both YDS firing 100 Pellets through both Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper REFUBISHED Air Rifles!!! Tomahawk Pellets Rip Right Through Target with 7/16 Inch Chip Board for my Target Backing with 2-5 Gallon Buckets together laying on their sides with one Lid on Buckets and some pellets made it through them also!!!! Can't believe the POWER this Gamo .177 has at 20 YDS with the Tomahawk Pellets!!! Going to do a penetration test at 50 YDS as well as I only used a large cardboard box with hand drawn 1 inch black center square for test after zeroing at 25 YDS and no back board. I love These Refurbished Gamo's AirGunDepot had on their Lightning Deals they had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also used the Crow Magnum 8.8 GR hollow points and they did have some variation that DID NOT Hold Up to the Gamo Tomahawks using Both Air Rifles as a test from different reviews on pellets I have read. The Gamo Tomahawk Shoots the same on both with No Real Variation on my Part!!! Butt, as stated, TOSS the come with scope, and for a cheap priced Air Gun Scope, Go with the Leapers UTG 3 and mounts for a Real Good Shooting Experience that has held ZERO for 100 Pellets through each Rifle as they state on the Box, """TOUGH STRENGHT""" Air Gun Scope!!! Best To All Here on Reviews and AGD is the Best when it COMES to Refurbished Guns at a Savings as I Practically Got 2 Rifles for the Price of One at New Cost!!!
Pros:
Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper is a Real Deal for a Moderate Priced Air Rifle !!!
Cons:
TOSS the come with scope and Save your Ammo!!!!!!!!!!!

Lot of bang for the buck!
May 15, 2015
The scope is junk, so get a better one. lots to chose from this site! With a new scope it holds a group about he size of a pea!
Pros:
Powerful, good adjustable trigger, powerful.
Cons:
Scope. But at the price, a better scope is affordable! With a better scope, if You can't hold a good group its not the guns fault!

Great Buy!
April 10, 2015
First time shooting this rifle at 50 ft.w/Crosman Premier 7.9 gr. hollowpoints. I got 5 in a 1" group and it punched through 5/8 " plywood! I haven't tried the Gamo Red Fire 7.8 gr. with the pointed tip yet,but I'm curious what this brand can penetrate! This gun would be awesome with a 12 x scope -to see what it really can do-the 4 x scope it comes with, is inadequate.

Very impressed
February 13, 2015
I have an older, spring piston model of this rifle which I've been very happy with but I wanted to upgrade to a gas piston and Gamo's SAT trigger. So when I saw a refurbished model at less than half the retail price of a new gun, I jumped at the chance to buy it. The rifle came in a plane brown cardboard box, rather than a retail box decorated with pictures and text. But inside was a rifle and scope that looked brand new. If you read reviews of the product, people often complain about the free rifle scope included and consider it a throw-away. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the included scope was really quite good and I have no plans to replace it. This was a great deal and I'm going to be keeping my eye open for other refurbished offers in the future.
Pros:
Refurbished but "like new" product at a great price. The included rifle scope exceeded my expectations.
Cons:
My rifle was shipped from Utah and it seemed to take awhile to get to me.

Awesome Gun
February 4, 2015
Bought the refurbished Gamo Bone Collector Bull Whisper .177 cal for target shooting and ridding my yard of rabbits and squirrels. I sighted the gun in for 20 yards but could never get the consistent quarter sized group I desired. After shooting my first 500 Crosman Premium Hollow Point pellets, I was disappointed. I am not one to blame equipment for my shortfalls in form but his gun would not group and I was forever re-zeroing in the scope. I ordered a Hammers 3-9X32 scope with the one piece base and holy crap, a whole new gun. It will now consistently group a quarter sized group at 30 yards. Love the gun but the scope that comes with it is junk. I also learned the "Artillery Hold" that so many people talk about using to shoot a spring air rife accuratly and that has made a big difference.
Pros:
Fast, quiet,
Cons:
Factory scope is junk

This gun is well worth the money.
December 24, 2014
Bought this gun refurbished, as I wanted to try a Gamo gas piston type rifle to compare to Crosman Nitro Piston. No disappointment here! This gun has some power to it! But power is often over valued in importance for air rifles. Quiet rules for game/pest dispatching, as does accuracy. Like any other pellet gun, one needs to find the right "fuel" for their gun. I have seen reviews on Youtube and online venues, where people have taken Gamo to task for "lying" about velocity numbers. As I do not have a great number of alloy pellets for testing, I really don't think Gamo is lying as much as perhaps using perfect conditions for their velocity tests. That being said, I had three types of alloy pellets and Crosman SSP pellets (at 4.0 grains) ripped over my Chrony at 1235-1260 FPS. this should prove those 1300 numbers can be acheived, but under perfect conditions. But I can deal with and accept a "loss" of 50 FPS, since at this velocity, game will scatter at the report. H&N Field Target Green pellets (5.5gn) did very consistent 1190s over the chrony and had a 3/4 inch group at 25 yds. Hooyah! For hunting, I would recommend JSB Exact Heavy (10.3 gns), velocity was in the low 800s (815-825) with kill zone accuracy. Keep the FPS down under 950, and this gun is quiet. Not Marauder quiet, but enough so that other nearby game only scatter close by, not bolt away never to be seen again! My gun also liked the Beeman FTS copper pellet (8.8gn, about 900 FPS)
Pros:
Power, though pure FPS is over rated. But use a heavy pellet, and you have pure FPE to burn! Quiet enough for backyard fun, (without alloy pellets!!). medium weight, so it is easy enough to carry all day in the woods. Trigger is crisp, a "hunting" trigger. Don't expect target weight, but the trigger is consistent and that keeps it in the "keeper with no tweaking" category. Put a medium to high quality scope on this puppy and you can't go wrong! I expected some handling marks with a refurb, but it looked new out of the box! Cool!
Cons:
Not a con to the gun itself, but Eunjin pellets (16.1 gn) had to be pushed into the breech to get them to seat. So avoid those for this gun. The only possible con to the gun is a lack of obvious access to the muzzle break/shroud for cleaning and disassembly. There seem to be pins holding this together, but I didn't want to try removing them and screw up a great little rifle.

Cons:

Light and a nice feel
December 1, 2014
The gun is fairly loud even after about 200 rounds. Easy enough to cock and the trigger is nice. The accuracy is much a disappointment. I've cleaned it prior to shooting and applied Blue Loctite where applicable, (stock screws and scope mounts and rings) to keep it from loosening. I' ve tried several types of pellets and weights with no luck. (H&N, JSB, Crosmans and Gamo) It's a nice gun but I have better luck with the Gamo Big Cat 1250. It's very accurate out to 35 yards using RWS superdomes and Crosman Premier Hollow Points, and not quite as loud.
Pros:
Light weight and attractive
Cons:
Inaccurate and loud

great rifle at a great AGD price
November 24, 2014
this is one of many guns I have bought from agd and have been very happy with each and every one. this one being no exception. as mentioned in many of the other reviews, the scope is not the best.i have bought several combo's and its a crap shoot whether the scope will be acceptable or not,but the price is so low that I consider the scope to be a throw in with the rifle at no cost. air gun depot sells for up to 50% lower than what I can buy it for locally and local stores sell it with same crappy scope.what I save from agd I can buy a better scope. this rifle shoots very hard and like all the others I have purchased , require a break in period.cocking effort is really not bad for the power of the rifle. rifle seems to be made very well, its fairly light weight for a full size air rifle.trigger pull is better than most, I usually don't concern myself with the trigger, just get used to it and don't have a problem in that area, I am more concerned with accuracy of the rifle and this one after the break in period does very well. all in all this is a very nice rifle that is good for small rodent control or just fun shooting in the back yard with my grand kids.
Pros:
great price, good quality, light weight, hard shooting
Cons:
not really a con for the rifle, but scope is not great

Love the gun, the scope not so much.
November 24, 2014
The rifle is incredibly powerful. It drives pellets supersonic no matter how heavy they are. I've tried up to 10.5 gr. but still get that supersonic crack. Noisy but sure kills em dead, dead, dead. Could not get the scope to stabilze, so used a rimfire scope I had laying around and it zeroed and has held it.
Pros:
Power
Cons:
Scope and noise.

This is my first air rifle. This refurbished rifle was a good deal and like new. It shoots as well as I can. The trigger is just like the M1 Garand or M1A. Same safety and same two stage trigger. A tiny bit of creep but but no worse than my M700 Rem. The trigger breaks crisp and consistent.

A Good Rifle....
August 14, 2014
It's a good rifle in my opinion, the changes that I would like to see, or make are minute, and pretty much the same with all Gamos in general. It's a good shooter especially with heavier pellets.
Pros:
Excellent Price Good Power Lightweight for long periods of carrying
Cons:
Trigger; Not the worst, but not good either Horrible Scope; No Option For Irons Hollow stock makes recoil feel worse

Everything I needed
May 30, 2014
To start I have two spring piston guns and several multi pumps. And I have been shooting nearly all my life but mostly firearms. This rifle delivers just what I needed to keep rodents from eating more of my garden than me. Compared to either my Winchester 1000 177 or my Gamo Shadow express air shotgun 22 it is easier to cock delivers a faster pellet , relatively quiet with a whole lot less recoil/vibration. I have not done any serious accuracy testing yet but it is delivering quite good groups with the tomohawk pellets I have shot so far. It has already removed four of the offending rodents and at ranges that I either lacked power with my daisy 880 or lacked accuracy with my Winchester and air shotgun. I am disabled and cannot hold a long gun well enough off hand to hit much of anything anymore so I need to rest I found with the spring air guns the vibration was preventing me from getting good accuracy when well rested so it is gas pistons for me all the way. I am expecting to remain pleased with this purchase but will update if it lets me down after a lot more shooting. Oh btw I did try a couple more pellets just for sound comparison. Trying a over ten grain pellet was significantly quieter than the tomahawks and a 4 gr alloy pellet will give a rifle like crack as the pellet does break the sound barrier. note I fired two of the 4 grain pellets only one broke the barrier so I assume it is just barely getting them there some not quite reaching.
Pros:
Accurate!! a lot less recoil/vibration than springers able to shoot accurately when solidly rested (not all spring type guns will do that) lots of velocity for terminal effects cocks more easily than other springers I've experienced (the fat bull barrel makes it even seem like less especially for arthritic fingers and hands.) at 150 dollars I don't think it can be beat.
Cons:
safety placement and function is not ideal experienced shooters only and tons of care need be taken Could come with a better scope with mil dots or radians to get proper use of all that velocity/power (I never used the provided scope I used a 2-7x40 I had around) (I'll be getting a scope like I described for it soon) Can always wish for more power but not likely to ever get it at this price point :)

Awesome
April 28, 2014
Ordered this for around $100 less than a new gun. WOW!! This gun is a new gun!! Absolutely no scratches anywhere. You can't beat this deal. Put scope on and starting shooting. Those that gave bad reviews must not know too much about guns and shooting them. Read lots of reviews on this gun. Shot about three times at target and then took bird off the top of privacy fence with no adjustment to the scope. You cannot get much better than that. It is not a loud as people made it out to be. Sounds like a regular pellet gun when shooting lead pellets. All in all I am completely satisfied. Kudos to Airgun Depot. Super fast shipping. Paid for three day shipping and received it in two. AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!

Accurate and powerful!
March 25, 2014
Took off the scope and followed the dorsal line that runs over the rifle and used it to aim. Wow! squirrels are knocked out cold with one shot. This air rifle can do it easy at 20 ft., same as 40-50 ft. My best shot was at nearly 75-80 ft. on a downhill. The squirrel had no chance. Pellet will travel through the squirrels with ease delivering a quick and humane kill. Will go deep into a treated 4x8. It is accurate. The scope and I do not get along well, but I figured it out and now I honestly enjoy this easy to brake rifle with a smooth trigger and good knock out power. Horses get sick when squirrels pee on their alfalfa hay. Not my horses, not anymore...
Pros:
Power well delivered. Accuracy and smoothness.
Cons:
I do not get along with scopes and have a hard time calibrating them.

best quality for the best price
October 24, 2013
There are 4 impressive things about this rifle: 1) Nitro piston. It shoots faster, quieter, and alot more reliable. 2) 1300 fps. enough said. 3) Noise compensator. This rifle is crazy quiet which is great for shooting in areas with people who are retarded and dont know the difference between a real rifle and a pellet rifle. 4) The price. The refurbished guns on this site are amazing. I have bought two rifles refurbished and I cant find one blemish or flaw. Cant beat this price. Super happy with this purchase and I will continue to buy refurbished guns on here. I did buy a better scope (3-9 4mm) and its perfect for this gun.
Pros:
high fps nitro piston quiet low price looks awesome
Cons:
needs a high powered scope

Great gun for the value. Who cares if it comes in a fancy box.
September 30, 2013
I've have good luck with factory refurbished guns. This one is no exception. I would however recommend upgrading the scope as this gun has quite a kick to it. You definitely want to make sure the scope tension screw is good and tight against the barrel. The barrel has an indentation to maximize the scope stability. I learned the hard way when I first shot it the scope bounced back and gave me a little black eye. Be very careful. This gun is very powerful and almost has the velocity of a .22 long cartridge. When using the premium ammo it has quite a crack as it breaks the sound barrier. But when using the hollow point lead pellets it's relatively quiet. I'm getting great shot groups at 25 feet. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of these pellets. Be safe.
Pros:
Powerful. Easy to cock. Lightweight. Great camouflage green color.
Cons:
Scope is under matched for the recoil.
