The 460 Magnum is RWS's most powerful air rifle. This a great varmint hunting and pest control tool. The 460 Magnum utilizes an under-lever cocking mechanism that provides superior leverage when cocking the airgun, resulting in less cocking effort than other spring airguns. The 460 offers magnum velocites of 1350 fps in .177 and 1150 fps in .22. An absolutely beautiful rifle. I bought this in addition to my RWS 48. The 460 is a little heavy in the field and prefer the 48 for field shooting, however, for straight target shooting the 460 is a beast.
Pros:Looks amazing on my gun rack.Cons:A little heavy especially with the RWS scope. |

I bought one in .177 and remanufactured from AGD. It came triple boxed! Beautiful gun with the R stamped in the stock of course. Shoots unreal! I have only shot it with Gamo hunters and Crosman heavy domed that I buy bulk at another site. Shooting cheap stuff like this, it cuts the 10 ring out at 10m on a 10m airgun target!!! Remember, it is not even broken in yet! Unreal! I also have a RWS48 in .22 remanufactured that I bought here as well. Not as pretty but it shoots great as well. that one now has a scope. Shooting JSB heavy pellets at 20m, 10 shots can be covered with a dime. I am a RWS man!

Answer:
No, this is an underlever air rifle. The barrel is fixed in place and the cocking lever is underneath the barrel. Underlever guns are known to be more accurate than break barrel due to the fact that the barrel is fixed and doesn't move.By perry from mayfield ky on May 2, 2012
