NEW! .177 caliber Benjamin Dual Fuel PCP & CO2 rifle. Includes easy-to-use hand pump.
Airgun Depot Review:
We've been testing the new Discovery PCP now for a few weeks and boy, have we been impressed! We were up and shooting in less than 5 minutes. PCP airguns have been way too complicated in the past with a vast assortment of probe adapters, pumps, attachments, hoses etc. With the Benjamin Discovery everything has been simplified. Simply hook up the gun to the pump, give it about 100 pumps to fully pressurize it and your're ready to shoot. We were able to get about 35 full power shots before the FPS started to drop off. That's enough for any hunt or pest control outing. Another aspect of the gun that really impressed us was it's accuracy. Groupings were well under 1 inch even out to 50 yards! you can expect .3" groups at about 25 yards. We also liked the fact that you can leave this air rifle charged so it's ready to go whenever you are. It's actually better for the airgun to have pressure in it.
We mounted our test rifle with a Centerpoint 3-9X40 scope with illuminated reticle and with this scope the gun is a joy to shoot. No recoil and near hole through hole accuracy at 25 yards. The gun is lightweight at just over 5 lbs and with a scope mounted it brings it to about 6 lbs which makes for easy handling and enjoyable shooting. If you're looking for a great gun for pest control or small game hunting this is the rifle for you. It's also a fun gun to just plink around the yard with.
Info from Crosman:
Get into precharged guns at an unheard-of price and also get the accuracy of an expensive European target rifle! Benjamin has bridged the gap and taken the pain out of PCP guns. Not only is this as low a price as you'll ever find on a PCP/hand pump combo, but it's so easy to pump up that a wispy teenager could do it! The Discovery has raised the bar for PCP guns because it uses only 2000 psi of air. What this means for you is less pumping! You can have your gun fully charged in less than 5 minutes. While the European companies race toward higher and higher air pressures, Benjamin is going the opposite direction and making it easier than ever to use a hand pump. If you want to use a scuba tank or carbon fiber tank, you can do that, too.
The Discovery gives you a choice! The gun comes with a magnificent walnut stock made especially for it. It also has Williams fiber optic front and rear sights and a built-in air pressure gauge. Included in the package is a hand pump that's easy to use and very clear on showing you when you've reached maximum operating pressure. When you open your box, you'll see easy-to-follow and easy-to-understand instructions that'll lead you step-by-step. If you're an experienced PCP user, you'll soon see that the Discovery is the easiest PCP you've ever used. If you're new to PCPs, you'll become a pro in just a few short steps. If you want to switch to CO2, that's easy to do. There's a special tool that lets you quickly and safely exhaust all the high-pressure air (or you can just shoot the air out). Attach the optional CO2 adapter (separate purchase), connect it to a paintball CO2 tank and fill 'er up! Now, commence to shootin'! With high-pressure air, you'll get about 35 powerful shots before you need to pump up again. On CO2, you'll get a lot more. The Discovery is manufactured and built in the U.S.

Benjamin Discovery .177

I love this Air Rifle. I seem to only get 20 shots per fill but that works for me. The sights are accurate but I added a red dot scope. Either way at 17 feet I'm hitting 1/4 inch groups with five shots. Faster using the scope. And yes you can use a speed loader on a bolt action rifle. Target practice Indoors ! I love it.Benjamin Discovery Dual Fuel .177

I am very pleased with the accuracy, finish, weight and ease of use. I have had other brand single pump spring air rifles that didn't seem to shot any where near the same place each time fired. The Benjamin lays them to shame.Benjamin Discovery Dual Fuel Air Rifle .177 PCP- Pump Included

This Rifle is accurate and powerful it hits my metal swinging style targets so hard at 33 yards instead of them locking in the upright position they bounce back down and up a couple of times. I haven't even tried they iron sights yet I am using a Centerpoint 3-9+40 scope and mounts that is for a 22 rimfire seems to work fineand will place one shot after another right through the same hole.Excellent Rifle

I purchased this rifle several weeks ago and have yet to put it down. It's just too much fun to shoot. It's accuracy without any scope it great, however, I have it equipped with a UTG 6-24x50 full size AO scope for extremely long range target shooting and the accuracy is phenomenal. I', getting ~ 0.75" clusters at 75 yards. The rifle is quick and easy to pump up, generally taking about 90 - 100 full pumps to reach the suggested 2,000 psi. I have found that this pressure will allow me to shoot at least 50 or so shots before I really start to lose power and need to recharge. There is little to no recoil when the rifle is fired which makes shooting for extended periods of time far more comfortable on the body than if I'm shooting one of my break barrel rifles. I also have an Airsoft sniper rifle but it doesn't even compare to the Benjamin Discovery in any category.
I would highly recommend this rifle to anyone who is serious about accuracy. I only use it for target shooting as I do not hunt at all but I am extremely pleased with how accurate this rifle is.

Lets start with getting the shipment double boxed and in great condition. The pump looked nice and heavy duty and the scope a 3-9 x 40 center point looks like a monster on this gun I like that look myself. It take 100 pumps to get the gun to 2000psi and I got 40 shots indoors in a real warm basement but 35 outside at 41degrees. So we all know what a Benjamin looks like it's not a $1000.00 fancy stock gun it's the gun in your collection that you will pick up and go for a day of shooting just for that reason. After doing a laser sight in of the scope @ 25 ' that is all I can do in my basement I took 2 shots of every pellet I own I was really surprised how well they all shot many in the same hole all of them all shot groups touching each other. I did get to move outside @ 35 yards that when I was able to see the difference in the pellets the wadcutters did the best @ 25 ' and 35 Yards the Crosman competition did the best and the RWS MEISTERKUGELN were exactly the same the RWS high point also and believe it or not the Daisy precision max did just as well. Pointed and round nose group as well If that is what you like to shot you just have to do a slight reset of the scope and I do mean slight I was Hitting dead center with the flats @ 35 yards and the rounds nose pellets were only 1/2" high but in a tight group all groups with all pellets were less then a nickel @ 35 yards. I have been shooting a .177 cal super tuned Beeman R1 for years doing 15 shots in the same hole the .22 cal Benjamin matched that without the recoil. My opinion about this gun is a 10 accurate and powerful. Oh I didn't say anything about power I don't have a chronograph but it disincarnates a pellet in the trap instead of just flatting them out like most others.Lighter and shorter then most Springer's so it make for a gun that you can carry for a long time if out hunting. I may have to put the Beeman on eBay I think this is going to be my favorite gun for awhile!
