How do you make a great gun even better? You listen to the customers and do what they asked! Very accurate gun for the money
April 20, 2014
After only a few shots to sight in scope. I was able to group 5 shots at 25 yards and cover with a dime; I never bothered to clean barrel. There was no need to. Now after only 200 shots it shoots dime size groups at 30 yards all day. Very accurate and the Scope bundled with is perfect . I hunt with air rifles and see no need to sight guns past 30 yards. But I do believe this will group very well after 30 yards. I have 4 Benjamin pcp rifles.... This rifle is the most fun to shoot. Hits very hard and hits exactly where you want it to. Very few flyers for some reason. I see no reason to buy anymore rifles, but I will because I am addicted... If you want to get a gun that is super accurate ... buy the marauder in 25 caliber.
Pros:
I like the accuracy. I was shock it would shoot tight groups so soon. Scope bundled is great, I have my share of expensive scopes and find this cheaper one to work very well. Others I am sure will argue this point. But I am happy. Nice feel while shooting and trigger is perfect right out of box. I see no need to adjust or modify this gun at all... Very Happy.
Cons:
Only complaint is that I wished they used a better grade of plastic for the stock. It is very adequate and works well, but the look and feel of the plastic seems cheap to me. I would like to have seen them us plastic that is on my Trail NP All Weather 22 rifle. This is not a deal breaker but for a 500 plus rifle I expected a better grade of plastic... I have the same issue with my Marauder pistol... great gun.. cheap plastic...but is very adequate to do the job.

I love this gun!
April 5, 2014
To start with I'll say again, I have loved this rifle. It has performed exceptionally well in my opinion. Granted this is my first PCP air rifle, but I had my doubts on it's capabilities. I'm an Infantryman in the US Army so I am no stranger to rifles and shooting. I'll start with my positive experiences first and then go over the negative last. So unboxing the rifle, I was very happy with the condition it arrived in. It was well supported and padded in it's box. I didn't have any problems with the way the product was packaged or shipped. I purchased the rifle in a package with the CenterPoint 4-16 x 40mm scope. I was a little skeptical on how it would perform due to my limited experience with their scopes at a much lower price point. This scope is awesome! It is clear, it's objective and zoom movements are very precise and smooth. The clarity of the scope has been exceptional. I have had no issues shooting in limited light, rain, smoke, etc. very pleased with the quality of the scope, and it has held it's zero even after being bumped around. I would buy this scope to put on another rifle no problem. Performance of the rifle has gone beyond what I had expected. Having limited experience with air rifles in general, and this being my first PCP air rifle, all I really had to go on was what I had seen in videos of their performance. I had never shot an air rifle chambered in anything other than .177 cal. Moving to the .25 caliber PCP has been nothing short of awe inspiring. At 25 yards it will pass completely through 1/2" plywood. At 25 yards with domed pellets I had two pass through on a 55 gallon steel barrel out of about 24 shots. For an air rifle, that really impressed me. I'm still learning the ballistics of this caliber and gun, but inside of 50 yards, I wouldn't hesitate to take on coyote sized game and smaller. This rifle really packs some punch. I really haven't found any of the half dozen different pellets I've tried that I wouldn't buy again to use with it. This life with any hunting is just a matter of matching the right ammunition, with the right weapon, at the right range. Very pleased with the performance and ease of use of this rifle. Very pleased customer. Like I said before, this is my first PCP. Going from a .177 break barrel, to a .25 PCP with a magazine has changed the air rifle experience for me. I love having 8 shots right in the gun when I'm out small game hunting. The PCP aspect is great by itself, but then adding a bolt action and magazine really changes the game. I probably won't ever buy another air rifle that doesn't have those two capabilities again after experiencing it first hand. The only issues I have had were probably user induced. One being the breach o-ring coming out a few times. I believe I have come to the conclusion in both instances where the breach o-ring ended up on the bolt instead of seated in it's groove was from firing without having the bolt seated all the way in the breach. Again, this was what I believe were user induced issues. I just inserted and re-seated the o-ring and went about my business. The only other issue I had was an air leak that was draining the reservoir at a pretty fast rate. I removed the stock from the action and checked some things, and tightened the air pressure gauge adapter into the air tube. No issues now, I can leave it fully charged for days and not have any discernible pressure drop. One more word on filling this rifle. I had read and seen some videos on using the hand pumps to fill these rifles up. I wasn't sure what to expect but really had no other options on filling other than the hand pump route. It was not nearly as hard to fill as other people made it seem. It takes a little time from completely empty to completely full, but it wasn't that bad. Now filling from 1200 to 3000 psi only takes a few minutes and some exercise. I still wouldn't mind getting a scuba tank, but for now this works just fine. If you want an air rifle to be impressed with that you have a hard time putting down, buy a Benjamin Marauder. I have zero buyers remorse. I am in love with this rifle.
