Best PCP period
September 27, 2014
I am amazed at the value of this rifle. It is an accurate shooter and has wonderful features. The tuning possibilities with this gun are its best selling point. Out of the box the rifle is very useable shot around 850 FPS for close to 30 good shots. Once you learn how to tune the rifle it only gets better. I read the A teams tuning guide and now get FT like velocities and better efficiency. 800 FPS and 55 shots. The fit and finish are excellent. I would definitely recommend this rifle.

This gun in this caliber (25) ROCKS!
July 9, 2014
I have two Marauders, the other one is a .22 and as much as I love that gun, this one is on it's way to being my favorite air rifle!! I have over 10 varieties of pellets and so far there isn't a one this gun does not group well!!!! Trigger break is excellent out of the box, and with a little tweaking of the hammer spring and air valve I hope to really get the most out of my air charge.
By and large, this gun is a hunter and well worth the money spent for an accurate and pellet friendly air rifle.
The bolt does drag a bit when cocking it after firing a shot, but I suspect with some buffing on the surface, and a bit of lube this should pass.

Scope mounts do not fit the Benjamin Marauder 22
June 3, 2014
When offering a bundle package (air rifle & scope) you'd think that the scope/mounts would be compatible with the corresponding air rifle it is being offered with. This does not. It was very disappointing to purchase a package and the scope mounts don't fit. The Benjamin Marauder 22 has a dove tail mount rail of a little over 11mm. The scope rings only go down to about 13mm or so. They are way too big to even think about fitting. So I had to order from another source and wait another week to even be able to use my rifle. Other than that - I'm happy so far with the performance of the rifle, but can't give a full feedback on accuracy/performance until I can actually see what I'm targeting.
fast shipping & good product, made in USA (air rifle)
Bought as a bundle (air rifle & scope) and the scope rings aren't compatible with the air rifle.

Happily Impressed
May 13, 2014
I bought this rifle as a package with the scope two magazines (clips) and an extra set of scope rings. The price point for the .25 cal rifle was at the cusp of my budget making me consider a smaller caliber but I went big anyway. Expect to spend an additional $300 on a good quality air pump for this Mrod. Upon un boxing I was pretty happy with the overall packaging of the product. It was well supported with the foam packing and sturdy shipping box First impression of the rifle was pleasing it felt good holding it. The weight is noticeable but not a deal breaker. It came with a 1000 psi pre-charge indicated by its on board nanometer allowing me to dry fire it and see how loud it was and was pretty impressed with it considering it had no pellet load. So sound quality checked good. Mounting the scope was a breeze. I used my bubble levels to make sure the rifle & scope both had as little cant as possible. The scope rings provided had a set screw that screw vertically into one of two pinhole on the rail to eliminate any slipping of the scope ring to which I thought was great considering the rails itself had no stops like a picatinny style rail. Definitely room for improvement on the rail. But functional. My pump hadn't arrived yet but I was eager to get a few rounds off at 25 yards to adjust & zero my scope. Thanks to my dive shop "Desert Divers" here in Tucson AZ they quickly got me up to 3k psi due to the rifles quick disconnect foster fitting it was easily done with no worry of any special tools. The Center Point scope adjusted quickly & held. Overall optical quality is good however the illumination lights up the entire inside of the scope tube instead of just the retical. The flip up dust covers are plastic nothing special but I'm glad they were provided although when focusing the scope you'll find the front flip up will change position in relation to where it flips open but what can you really expect from a $69 Walmart Scope. So scope checked average but useable. Shooting the rifle was unbelievable! Having used the Benjamin discovery as my first PcP (Pre charged Pneumatic) the trigger on the Marauder was smooth & almost effortless. The recoil was null to the point where you could follow your pellet through the scope never losing aim of your target. The accuracy is remarkable it's very consistent it hits right where you aim at!!!! boy does it pack a PUNCH! So shooting checks excellent! Loading the clip reads a bit funny in the manual but easily done. The bolt action & feed of the pellet is smooth and a very convenient way to load the rifle as opposed to a break barrel single feed. Shooting it I noticed a pinging noise but after some research I bought a "Depinger" and eliminated the after shot nuisance noise. Overall I am very impressed with this rifle's performance & kit price point after having used it in my opinion it's money well spent & you won't be disappointed.
Quality Accuracy Usability Performance Price
Rail could be improved but not necessary as the rifle has no recoil but perhaps for better aesthetic on the synthetic stock rifles. Scope accessories are sub par and illumination of the whole inside tube can get annoying but the scope itself is highly functional.

Very accurate gun for the money
April 20, 2014
After only a few shots to sight in scope. I was able to group 5 shots at 25 yards and cover with a dime; I never bothered to clean barrel. There was no need to. Now after only 200 shots it shoots dime size groups at 30 yards all day. Very accurate and the Scope bundled with is perfect . I hunt with air rifles and see no need to sight guns past 30 yards. But I do believe this will group very well after 30 yards. I have 4 Benjamin pcp rifles.... This rifle is the most fun to shoot. Hits very hard and hits exactly where you want it to. Very few flyers for some reason. I see no reason to buy anymore rifles, but I will because I am addicted... If you want to get a gun that is super accurate ... buy the marauder in 25 caliber.
I like the accuracy. I was shock it would shoot tight groups so soon. Scope bundled is great, I have my share of expensive scopes and find this cheaper one to work very well. Others I am sure will argue this point. But I am happy. Nice feel while shooting and trigger is perfect right out of box. I see no need to adjust or modify this gun at all... Very Happy.
Only complaint is that I wished they used a better grade of plastic for the stock. It is very adequate and works well, but the look and feel of the plastic seems cheap to me. I would like to have seen them us plastic that is on my Trail NP All Weather 22 rifle. This is not a deal breaker but for a 500 plus rifle I expected a better grade of plastic... I have the same issue with my Marauder pistol... great gun.. cheap plastic...but is very adequate to do the job.

I love this gun!
April 5, 2014
To start with I'll say again, I have loved this rifle. It has performed exceptionally well in my opinion. Granted this is my first PCP air rifle, but I had my doubts on it's capabilities. I'm an Infantryman in the US Army so I am no stranger to rifles and shooting. I'll start with my positive experiences first and then go over the negative last. So unboxing the rifle, I was very happy with the condition it arrived in. It was well supported and padded in it's box. I didn't have any problems with the way the product was packaged or shipped. I purchased the rifle in a package with the CenterPoint 4-16 x 40mm scope. I was a little skeptical on how it would perform due to my limited experience with their scopes at a much lower price point. This scope is awesome! It is clear, it's objective and zoom movements are very precise and smooth. The clarity of the scope has been exceptional. I have had no issues shooting in limited light, rain, smoke, etc. very pleased with the quality of the scope, and it has held it's zero even after being bumped around. I would buy this scope to put on another rifle no problem. Performance of the rifle has gone beyond what I had expected. Having limited experience with air rifles in general, and this being my first PCP air rifle, all I really had to go on was what I had seen in videos of their performance. I had never shot an air rifle chambered in anything other than .177 cal. Moving to the .25 caliber PCP has been nothing short of awe inspiring. At 25 yards it will pass completely through 1/2" plywood. At 25 yards with domed pellets I had two pass through on a 55 gallon steel barrel out of about 24 shots. For an air rifle, that really impressed me. I'm still learning the ballistics of this caliber and gun, but inside of 50 yards, I wouldn't hesitate to take on coyote sized game and smaller. This rifle really packs some punch. I really haven't found any of the half dozen different pellets I've tried that I wouldn't buy again to use with it. This life with any hunting is just a matter of matching the right ammunition, with the right weapon, at the right range. Very pleased with the performance and ease of use of this rifle. Very pleased customer. Like I said before, this is my first PCP. Going from a .177 break barrel, to a .25 PCP with a magazine has changed the air rifle experience for me. I love having 8 shots right in the gun when I'm out small game hunting. The PCP aspect is great by itself, but then adding a bolt action and magazine really changes the game. I probably won't ever buy another air rifle that doesn't have those two capabilities again after experiencing it first hand. The only issues I have had were probably user induced. One being the breach o-ring coming out a few times. I believe I have come to the conclusion in both instances where the breach o-ring ended up on the bolt instead of seated in it's groove was from firing without having the bolt seated all the way in the breach. Again, this was what I believe were user induced issues. I just inserted and re-seated the o-ring and went about my business. The only other issue I had was an air leak that was draining the reservoir at a pretty fast rate. I removed the stock from the action and checked some things, and tightened the air pressure gauge adapter into the air tube. No issues now, I can leave it fully charged for days and not have any discernible pressure drop. One more word on filling this rifle. I had read and seen some videos on using the hand pumps to fill these rifles up. I wasn't sure what to expect but really had no other options on filling other than the hand pump route. It was not nearly as hard to fill as other people made it seem. It takes a little time from completely empty to completely full, but it wasn't that bad. Now filling from 1200 to 3000 psi only takes a few minutes and some exercise. I still wouldn't mind getting a scuba tank, but for now this works just fine. If you want an air rifle to be impressed with that you have a hard time putting down, buy a Benjamin Marauder. I have zero buyers remorse. I am in love with this rifle.
