The silhouettes are fun but you've got to use lock-tight to keep them on the hooks and the pellets have a tendency to bounce out of the trap. Works fine with paper targets.

Pros
Trap works for .177 at a safe distance.

Cons
Included paper targets are few and flimsy. You'll need to buy heavy stock 7" x 9" targets soon after getting the trap.

Purchased this pellet trap at the recommendation of AirgunDepot customer service, and for the price, it has served its purpose well. It is important to follow the recommended distance, FPS, and ammo for the caliber of gun being shot. Our first experience with the trap was to test different pellets for my sons Crosman Raven gun to determine which pellet(s) it preferred. Our second experience was to site in his BSA scope at 10 - 15 yards. Once that was done, we switched over to the metal targets and spent hours shooting pellets. This is a perfect solution for the right combination of gun caliber, distance, and FPS, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Pros
Traps pellets very well when using paper targets backed by cardboard. Great for testing out different pellets for your gun. Great for siting in your scope. Great for hours of target practice with the paper targets or included metal targets, and for improving ones skills at varying distances.

Cons
Does not trap pellets very well when only using the metal targets as the ricochet in the trap causes the pellets to bounce out (albeit not too far from the trap).

I just used it last night with my Steyr LP10 Air Pistol, which shoots .177 pellets at approximately 520 fps. My first 20 shots were at the 10m or 33 feet regulations paper target. It trapped the pellets. When shooting the silouhettes, the pellets would ricochet approx. 5 feet in front of the target. Other than that, the trap works perfectly.

Excellent, except the silhouette target bases can be "shot off" using a pistol with only 520fps at 10 meters.
