For lead pellets only, NOT for use with steel bb's! Get the hottest new targets for plinking enthusiasts! Extremely convenient, you'll experience hours of shooting fun with your .22 rimfire or airgun, without having to walk down range or pull chords to reset. Simply hit all four hanging targets and then shoot at the resetting target and all four targets drop back down for another round of shooting fun (airgun has 1.75" paddles). And, with no assembly, parts or tools required, these targets set-up fast and easily fold flat for storage. This solid steel target features twist-designed paddles with no welds to break and come with a lifetime guarantee from breakage! Airgun version requires a moderately powerful airgun (approximately 500 feet per second or faster) with lead pellets only to operate effectively.

February 17, 2017
Inexpensive to have something to shoot at.

Nice target
January 5, 2017
Very nice target and design. Very simplistic, metal is heavy duty enough for the caliber too.
Wish I had got for gift. This would make a great gift for someone.
ProsMetal is heavy enough for the caliber it's designed for. Self setting and targets are bright, easy to see from a distance.
ConsNo negatives

Resetts itself,but needs stabilizer
August 21, 2015
The target performs as advertised in terms of resetting the 4 down targets, but you need to add length to its feet or it will jump out of the ground. Located a solid piece of steel tubing to force on the 4 feet and it works better now. Out of the box, it needs help.
ProsWith help, functions as advertised
ConsNeeds longer feet

My favorite

I have several silhouette targets but I like this one the most. I have mine set up at 45 yards in the woods and it it's a challenge to hit. I also like that the target resets. Steel is sturdy and durable. Just lots of fun to shoot at and good practice.

Lots of fun, but lacking a little in quality control
June 11, 2015
This target is a lot of fun to plink with, my only complaint is that they must have glued the bulls-eye stickers on with spit or something. They come fluttering off after only a few shots.

Not for a "blow back" pistol
January 11, 2015
Good Quality but the blow back CO 2 pistols do not have the velocity to knock the target down.
ConsToo "stiff " for a blow back pistol.

Love shooting at this at 40 yards with my .22 Disco.
ProsAlways ready to go.
ConsStickers or paint blasts off quickly, but I guess until they figure out how to make hunter orange steel, I'll have to deal. :)

Great for .22 cal. and Ok for .177
September 15, 2014
Great target for use with .22 CO2 pistol to about 20 yards or .177 CO2 to about 10 yards. Paper stick-on targets will need replaced or painted after a few uses.
ProsEasy to set up and use. Works as advertised
ConsA tad heavy to flip for average .177 CO2 guns. Should be OK with higher velocity pumps, springers or PCPs. As others have noted, plastic shrink film packaging is tedious to remove

Best Target
February 25, 2014
This target could take a beating and still fight. It is light enough to move every time you hit a shot ON THE STICKER. If you hit the edge it will not go all the way back unless you have a very powerful gun. I recommend buying more stickers from BIRCHWOOD CASEY's site because they don't sell them here. They are the 1.5 in ones.

Study small plinker. Works great with .177 and .22 once secured to a stable platform. All it takes is some plywood and 2 pieces of steel wire. Very happy with it. When the decals wear out just spray targets with neon paint and you are ready to go again.

Nice short/mid range plinker.
June 3, 2013
I don't think you're going to find a better short range plinker for the money. For myself shooting offhand with irons 20 to 30 yards is about right and scoped 30 to 40. The stickers were dispatched in quick order as you would expect from a .22 pellet splashing hard enough to bury the fragments into wood. Then I did what I do to all my clangers/plinkers; drill holes in a joist or plywood of appropriate size that matches the frame to serve as a base, then it can be weighed down with rocks in the field or screwed down anywhere.
ProsThis thing has been soaking up 20 to 24 FPE and at this level it's going to last a long time. It has a similar construction to the rimfire models I have that are still going strong.
ConsPackaging, lol, it ain't gonna fall out. Get a fresh razor blade and some good lighting and enjoy. Somewhere in this process I thought of shooting it out.

Really, Birchwood?
November 12, 2012
I have spent the past 20 minutes trying to get this thing out of the package, I am not even done yet. It's so frustrating, I actually stopped in the middle of trying to get this thing out of the industrial strength plastic that's wrapped airtight around every single bar and target to write this review. I would never buy a product from them again just so I don't have to try to get this freakin' plastic off. The target is made of metal, and you're going to be shooting a gun at it...does it really need this much protecting????
ProsGood size, bigger than I thought.
ConsThe packaging...I doubt I'll be able to pry/cut/slice all the plastic off this thing. I will probably have to melt it off with a lighter. There goes the pretty paint job they're trying to protect.

Fun target

This is a great ltarget for both 22 and 177 air rifles. Iit needs a solid hit to flip up, but it's a good size for 20 yard shots.

Heavy Duty Fun
January 9, 2012
This is one strong target. I was shooting at a Do-All Outdoors Air Strike Pellet Trap set at 30 yrds and when this target arrived I set it at the same distance. I was unable to flip the target at that range when i hit it.( I Shoot a Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk with gamo rocket pellets). So I moved the target in to about 20 yards and now its game on. This target holds up much better then the trap even at the closer distance. The legs on this target at a little cheesy you need to push them into the ground to keep the target from collapsing when hit which keeps you from being about to set this target up on a stand. It is nice not having to walk down range to fix the target and rest so it becomes effortless fun after set up.
ProsTarget reset Duribility
ConsA little heavy for long distance target practice Flimsy Stand

Inexpensive, Fun Target
December 29, 2010
Simple, well made construction works great. Satisfying "tink" when targets are hit. Resets easily.

Has worked with a Crosman 1377, Remington Airmaster 77, and a Gamo CFX.

The target face is covered with a fluorescent orange sticker. These will wear away with repeated hits. Easy enough to replace.

Remember to put the support legs forward, or the targets will not swing up correctly.

Why is it 'not for use with steel bb's?"
By Staff on August 21, 2012

BB's do not carry enough power to spin these targets since the targets are made of a heavy metal. They will bounce off the targets and go whatever direction they desire and cause damage to whoever or whatever is in the way.
