On a Octaine22
January 13, 2017
I read the other reveiws about putting it on a break barrel I am here to tell you BSA has a great product and I've put a can of 250 pellets through my Octaine 22 cal and you can drive a nail with this scope . Great scope works like a champ at 75 yds to 100 yds shooting varment..
Easy to sight in and use optics clear just great
None but make sure you get good mounts and once you sight it don't retibhten screws or mount clamps or you WILL be off. Center

Very clear and bright
September 27, 2016
Love this scope but, after reading reviews from others I decided against mounting it on a break barrel.
It has optic clarity of a much more expensive scope. Very very clear.
Apparently it won't take springer recoil. It would make a good choice for a pcp. The scope is actually made for the 17 HMR and has elevation compensation for that round. It won't be a useful feature on any air rifle but as a scope it's still pretty good and very inexpensive

Decent scope, but ...
September 4, 2016
I bought one of these many years ago for a rimfire. In that capacity is worked flawlessly (ignoring the turret markings since I was using it on a .22LR). I recently moved it to my Crosman 1077 because the AO is invaluable at the much shorter distances. However, at 10M the parallax reading is a touch beyond the 15 tick & at 15M it is between 50 & 70 ticks. I have not tried it on a springer & I don't plan to. Otherwise, the optics are clear and sharp. I can't comment on POI shift between magnifications because the 1077 isn't consistent enough over enough shots to convince me that the rifle isn't a factor.
Clear, bright, inexpensive
Inaccurate AO tick marks

Not happy

Does not stand up to the recoil of a springer, my .177 np gun broke the reticle within 50 shots.

Nice scope for the money
August 27, 2015
However it won't hold zero on a pellet gun (spring or gas) I don't know why Airgun Depot would have this scope come up with search if it's not for an airgun? I'd return it, but it's my fault for not checking closer. It was doing great for the first 25 or 30 shots. I would recommend this scope for a firearm, but not an airgun.

.17 Caliber Rifle Scope
January 19, 2015
This scope is built for a .17 caliber center fire rifle, not an air gun. It seems to be a pretty good scope, but I have less than 50 shots from my Browning under-leaver .177 pellet rifle with this scope mounted. The elevation / distance compensation turret is useless because of the difference in ballistics between .17 rifles and .177 air guns. The "double recoil" of spring powered air guns may cause this scope to deteriorate more quickly than a scope built for air guns. The scope that came with the Browning was fine, but it was so long that it was difficult to load the rifle. I put the Browning scope on a Power Piston air rifle that came with a really poor scope and bought this scope for the Browning. It is shorter, and allows easy loading on the Browning. On the negative side, I had to run the elevation turret almost all the way up to get the pellet strike point in the black at 25 yards. So far, I have not shot it at further distance. The elevation problem may be with the scope rings or the rifle itself, and not the scope. My only reason for not giving this scope a five star rating is that it is not made for air guns. Purchasing it from an air gun company, I was expecting a dedicatedly made product.

Quality piece
January 12, 2015
I originally put this scope on a Silent Cat, and later switched it over to my Benjamin NP2. Can't say anything bad about it, in fact it's a very nice scope if you ask me. I really like the capless turrents. Hate those caps. I've had this scope for a year or so and had to go back and look to see how much I paid for it. I think I actually paid more for mine than they are selling for now. Oh well, it's only about ten bucks, and I've well already gotten my money's worth, with what looks like may be an investment that yields good service for a long, long time.
Seems to never loose it adjustment.

Not Made for a GAMO
December 22, 2014
Scope did not hold up on my GAMO Big Cat 1400. Within a few shots of sighting in the reticle was rotating inside scope tube. Nice scope, I just wouldn't recommend for a heavy recoil GAMO.
Awesome clarity Ease of adjustment

Nice scope solid built easy sighted hold zero so far mounted on my gamo hornet. 177 so works good from 3-9 power clear optics prefer fixed parallax for air guns avarage distances for hunting 20m 40m!! For quick target accusation I like the turret. Calibration for different pellets weights and caliber.over would buy again good scope for under $100 preferably go with Leapers Scopes I Owen a few of them
Good scope for under $100 solid build no problem as of yet time will tell.
Poor instructions on scope 17 hmr features be careful of turrets set screws their small Allen screws you must losing them removed turret to calibrated instructions vary vague

Mounted scope on my gamo .22 cal bull whisper extreme. Works great i have well over 1000 shots with this scope and still on the money.
Love the elevation adjustment its quick and simple, will be getting another one for my .22 cal rim fire remington 541-s. Its a blast shooting long distances with these small caliburs.

BSA Sweet 17 3-9x40 AO
August 10, 2014
I purchased this scope to mount on my Benjamin Marauder pistol and so far it has worked as expected. Holds zero well and is clear and sharp. Now how it would perform on a strong springer or NP gun that has reverse recoil I do not know but it performs well on the Marauder.
Build quality, sharp optics.

Awesome scope for the price

If you are on a budget like I am, and just getting back into pellet guns, this is a great scope. Excellent field of view, covers most adjustments needed, and it doesn't break the bank!

Great purchase

I haven't got to sight this scope in with my Benjamin regal nitro piston .177 but it looks like a well built scope. It is very heavy. The adjustable objective is clear and accurate. It is an overall great purchase. The threaded scope caps are pretty nice.
Adjustable objective Quality and price
Couldn't loosen the turret screws. The wrench just kept spinning.

Good scope for the money
January 15, 2013
Major upgrade from the Gamo 4x40 one that came with my Big Cat 1250. Nice scope, but make sure you tighten all of the turret set screws before you start shooting. I didn't, and now I am missing one, which means I have to spend $6 shipping from BSA(Gamo) to get replacements. Nice bright image, parallax looks good.
Bright image.

BSA Sweet 17 3X9AO scope
June 19, 2012
Received this scope about a week and a half ago from AGD. Mounted it on a Hammerli X2 dual caliber rifle (.177/.22). Used a CenterPoint one piece mount. AGD said that the scope is airgun rated and so far so good. I have shot about 400 pellets thru the rifle and no complaints yet. I use the numbers on the turrets as a reference only and that seems to work pretty well. The elevation turret is of course calibrated for the .17HMR. I sighted in 4 .22 pellets of different types and weights, wrote the numbers down and so far that system is working fine. I load a pellet, dial in the elevation number, dial in the windage number and the pellet is in the bull. The scope is very clear and very easy to sight in. Used very few pellets, compared to other scopes, to get satisfactory results.
Very clear sight picture, like the reticles, AO, focus easy to set. I can switch from .22 to .177, different weights and types, dial in the numbers I used to sight it in and it's a no brainer. Dead on.
Not really a complaint cause I knew before I ordered it, but it is a tad bit heavy.
