Crosman 1088 Black Air Pistol
The Crosman 1088 CO2 pistol is versatile, because you can shoot whichever type of ammo you have on hand! Pellets or BBs. This pistol likes both of them. Fill the clip with 8 pellets or BBs, and you're ready to rock and roll. The 12-gram CO2 cartridge will deliver lots of shots before you need to change it. The frame is made of a durable synthetic, and the barrel is rifled steel. Texture on the ambidextrous grip gives you a firm grasp on the gun. It comes with open sights (windage-adjustable rear) and a mounting rail for accessories. The gun shoots either single- or double-action. Whether you shoot for fun or want to improve your target shooting skills, this pistol is up to it. Remember to get lots of extra ammo and CO2 packs, 'cause you're gonna shoot a lot! Pistol worked perfectly right out of the package, came complete with everything needed.
I bought this gun just for the experience and I got to say its really great. It does occasionally misfire but the power for it's size is great and another things is that its quite loud.

I bought this little jewel about two weeks ago at Academy Sports and I have enjoyed it ever since. I had to get used to how light weight it was compared to my .45 auto. It has very good power when the CO2 is new then it gets weaker the more you shoot. I killed some beer cans and plastic bottles at about 30 feet with no problem. It shoots most accurate with pellets. BBs seem to wander a bit. I recommend extra clips, they are available in 3 packs for around $5 or $6. It does misfire but not often.

Occasionally misfires. The CO2 goes fast because of high power.
It was my first pellet pistol I have owned and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It's accuracy is great and the balance is good. Shoots 8 rounds, has a magnetic clip for easy BB inserting. Can shoot about 50 hard shots then it starts losing strength. Uses a 12 gram powerlet and looks very real great choice for the price.

Wish had more stronger shoots, and seems to me a waste of co2 when need to replace powerlet with some gas still left . Handle covers that hide powerlet could lock a little bit tighter .

Great feel, great appearance. Still having issues sighting the pistol, but that will come with time and feel. Great trigger action, very smooth. good training pistol. Excellent buy. Recommend you buy the extra clips or you will spend most of your time loading them.

asked RobertThey go in the center part where the spent round would be discharged from on a normal gun. There is a little button you push on the top there. It pops up and reveals the disc where the pellets go. Its like a revolver.
Julian from USAThis gun uses a round magazine that is inserted in an opening in the breech area. Halfway between the front of the barrel and the back, a small lever allows a piece to pop up and open where you place the round magazine, then you press it down and closed. The grip holds the CO2.
Patrick from USAOn the top, what would be the ejector, there's a switch. The "ejector" pops up, a rotary clip holding 8 pellets/bb fits in. The clip is magnetic as well. So a pile of bbs will pick up, then can be pushed into the sockets in the clip easily.

asked Frank GornyYes it will kill rabbits, squirrels, etc, BUT, to kill anything larger than a Small Bird, you will want to use hollow point pellets, they will do the damage it takes to make a clean kill, you don;t want to make anything suffer, that is just plain Mean and Irresponsible and i would hope that your better than that., BB's are Best for target shooting!

asked kennyIf you can hit them in the head or heart you will kill them, the maximum distance that is effective would be around 40 to 50 feet, farther than that you would just maiming the critter and would just suffer unless you got a lucky shot, I don't like to see things suffer, get to be a good shot before you try to shoot little critters and birds.

asked GeorgeMine did not come with CO2. If you insert a cartridge you can shoot as many rounds as conditions allow but.. Trying to store the weapon with a partially discharged CO2 cartridge is an exercise in futility. The balance will leak out over time. My experience is that even a lunch break,call it an hour, will result in the need to replace the cartridge.
Mike from USAIf you have leaking problems when inserting a new cart., try putting a drop of gun oil on the top of the cart.( small end) before inserting into the gun. it makes a better seal as it doesn't bind the rubber seals as it is secured into place.
Hank from USABought my from Walmart about 6 years ago. I put a new Co2 cartridge in it and fired about 3 shots and put it away. A few weeks later attempted to fire and the pellet went maybe 10 feet. I assume the gas had leaked out. I believe my pistol came with 3 CO2 cartridge and I purchased additional ones.
