Crosman 12 gram CO2, 500 Count Case

The cartridges work fine and it was a better deal on these than I could find anywhere else and I got them in a timely manner. However, I'm not a physicist or anything but I would imagine that when shipping large quantities of high pressure gases the box should at the very least have some handle with care tape on it. Mine doesn't look like it was handle very carefully but I don't think I will need to order any more for a while. Even if I'm wrong and safety isn't a huge concern its still not good for customer privacy.

When choosing what brand of CO2 cartridges to purchase, you really don't have a whole lot of considerations to ponder. Every 12g cartridge on the market should have the same amount of content. Every brand of cartridge will fit every gun designed to be powered by a 12g cartridge. Regardless if there are subtle differences in design, shape, or length, when inserting the cartridge into the gun, those subtle differences are made moot by taking up any slack when you twist (tighten) the cartridge piercing screw. Additionally, using pell gun oil on the tip of every cartridge aids in sealing the contact point and helps keep "O" ring seals from becoming brittle. In short, the only real difference in CO2 cartridges is the cost per unit! Make your best value deal when purchasing CO2 cartridges - usually (but not always) that being by quantity purchase. If you happen to catch a bargain, go for it! If being brand specific makes you happy, knock yourself out!
