The Crosman Piranha .22 Hollowpoint pellets deliver a deadly bite. They have a rounded top with a star-shaped cut-in. The Piranha is optimized to deliver the penetration properties of a domed pellet, but with the expansion ability of a hollowpoint. This is the perfect choice for small game / nuisance animal hunting including rodents and garden pests.

Crosman Premier Piranha .22 Cal 14.3 gr is great.

These .22 Cal is devastating on small vermmins. The penetration is excellent & expansion make the pellet very lethal.
ProsLike a hollow point it opens up to bone breaking after penetration!
ConsThat drop of oil to increase velocity?
Best UsesI call the pellet as a "Varmminter"!!!

Very Good Hunting Pellet

Did a side by side comparison between these and a premium pellet in a Hatsan Flash. The premium pellet was dead on, the "piranha" pellets flew by as much as an inch wide in all directions at 25 yards, and seemed to jam up the magazine as well. I can't use anything this inconsistent.
ConsYou get what you pay for.
Best UsesMelt them down and pour them into a mild.

From the Ruger Impact Max .22
March 10, 2018
Bought a tin of these from Walmart actually, same time I bought my Ruger. Gotta say, not the best and not the worst. Half the time they're impacting point of aim, other times they are hit 1"-4" in any direction from point of aim. Not sure if it's just my scope that's junk or if it's me. I don't think it's me since I've used them to put seven shots in a half inch group on bullseye at 20 yards. Some fit snug in the bore and some fit a little loosely. I recommend using a micrometer to check each one and remove any that are not the exact size of the bore. Definitely needs more quality control in manufacturing.
ProsGreat penetration and impact.
ConsFairly inaccurate from my experience and does not expand very well unless shooting steel targets. In fact, they have very little expansion even when impacting my 2x6 pine board backstop.
Best UsesSo far, the best I can say is for target shooting. I haven't found them to be accurate enough at 20 yards for hunting.

Very Good Hunting Pellet
July 24, 2017
I have been shooting these pellets in a 22 cal Benjamin Trail 1100 XL Magnum Rifle. These pellets will hold a nickel sized group at 30 yds. and a 1 1/4 in. sized group out to 65 yds, in my gun. Hard hitting, deep penetration with medium expansion. Very Good on larger sized varmints.
ProsHard Hitting-Deep Penetration-Medium Expansion-Reasonably Priced-Accurate

Crossman Premier Piranha and Gamo Urban
January 19, 2017
The .22 cal Premier Piranha are the same weight as the Premier Ultra Mags, the Premier Hollow Point and the Crossman pointed pellet. All hit with nearly the same dime sized spread at 30 yrds. No scope adjustments needed between pellets. These are a great match to the Gamo Urban PCP

Price for a 400 count tin was only $9.99!
ProsThese are a great match to the Gamo Urban PCP Price for a 400 count tin was only $9.99!

Can't complain about these pellets......
August 1, 2016
Some people don't seem to have had a very positive experience with these pellets. All I can say is that my Steel Eagle shoots
them quite well. It took a couple hundred round before they settled in....25 yards, they are holding groups of about an inch....My
rifle isn't a $1400 pcp, so what can one expect? Haven't tested out to 50 yards yet, but just plinking, they seem to have acceptable
ProsCost is reasonable, they have acceptable accuracy...
every gun has a favorite
July 12, 2016
I have 2 .22 cal. pellet rifles, an benjamin and a crosman the bejamin is dead on with these and hates the ones my crosman is dead on with and my crosman don't like these. So don't judge a pellet till you get to know your gun, as in high powered rifles they all can be picky with theit loads.
ProsHard hitting shoots through 3 1/4 " plyboards at 20 yards with benjamin
Consnone i can see
