great for hunting. dont let any tell you break barrels cant shoot light slugs.

wheight is perfect for a 17-20 ft pound break barrel. I have a hard working crosman fire .177 break barrel. (highly recommend that gun). and they are about 18 ft pounds of energy which is all dumped on the animal you are shooting at because of the high wheight retension. shot a possum behind the shoulder at 23 yards and he "dropped and floped". Bc is better than any pellet you could run. the pellet stopped just beneath the skin on the oposite side so all 18 ft pounds were dumped in the animal.
