Well formed
In looking for the best pellet for pest control having to deal recently with prairie dogs. I tested a couple of different pellet brands and weights that would first match well with my new 22cal. Benjamin Marauder Field and Target with consistent tight groups. And secondly a pellet that would be effective at a minimum of 50 yrds with good knock down power. Thus I found my match with these H&N Barracudas 18.21gr. Though I prefer washing all my pellets these H&N I found to be very clean with little blemish right from the can.
ProsClean and well formed pellets with minimal defects throughout the can.
Best UsesIf your looking for an effective pellet on larger varmints this is it.

Hard hitter
Nice pellet, accurate. I have yet to take on a rat hunt. Based on my target shots, I am confident on the abilities of these pellets.
ProsSo far, all good.
ConsYet to find any.

H&N Baracuda Hunter
I give 3 stars just for my own uses because my gun doesn't like this pallets.I'm not saying that it is bad pallet. The tin was nicely packed and the pallets themselves look good and they might shoot good for others.
ProsGood looking pallets.
ConsDon't shoot good for my gun

The Best (so far).
I used the JSB sampler and H&N sampler in my Hatsan Gladius with the Baracuda Hunter being the best. JSB's were really disappointing. Mechanical problems resulted in Hatsan giving me a new Gladius and it also shoots the Baracuda Hunter with the tightest groups. 5 shots with 3/8" grouping are consistent from a bipod and sand bagged stock butt. Over 900 '/sec from 2800 psi down to 2000 psi. The replacement gun also shoots the JSB's better but H&N is the pellet for my gun. It also shoots the Benjamin 14.3 gr. very well which I use in my Benjamin 392 pump.
ProsShoots well at varying power settings from my Hatsan or my Benjamin rifles.
ConsNone but I've found the actual ave. weight of the Baracuda Hunter to be closer to18.3+ gr. versus 18.21 gr. listed. No big deal just adds a little more energy assuming the same velocity.

Love these pellets
Normal H&N quality, excellent. These are by far, my favorite hunting pellet. If they shot well out of my airgun, they are my go to pellet. It doesn't matter the caliber.
ProsEvery pellet is well formed and consistent. I also believe they are a great value.

Accurate and devastating
THE most accurate pellet from Ruger Air mag. Shoots 820fps and delivers tremendous impact on game. 3/4 inch groups at 40yds. One hole at 15yds.
ProsVery uniform in weight and size. No damaged skirts, partially because of shipping packaging.
ConsWould like larger tins.

I love them, but
The grackle hordes find them to be too accurate and effective. The Disco does best with them out of some 8-10 I have tried. Out to some 50 yards. Accurate out of my Disco, but every gun/pellet combination is a whole new rodeo.
ProsAccurate

H & N Baracuda Hunter 22 cal. pellets
I tested these pellets from a bench rest with my HW 95 (Beeman R9) with a Nikon Pro Staff air gun 3X9 scope at 20 yds. in my backyard. They are by far the most accurate of all pellets tested including RWS Meistercugelen (sp) Match, Ben. premiers, various H & N pellets in their sample packs and the pellets in the JSB sample pack. They consistently averaged around 1/2 inch. Many of the other 5 shot groups were approx. 2-3 inches. I thought the problem was lose stock and action screws. After using denatured alcohol and blue lock-tite, the srews stayed tight but the groups did not improve very much. The Ben. Premiers will go well under an inch with most groups. The others not so good. An occasional group with the H & N "Bacarudas" was one hole. I ordered 4 tins and will save all other pellets for testing in my new Air Arms T 200 Mk 3 and my buddies' guns. Most people say that some JSB pellet is the be all and end all. Not in this rifle. I guess I would advise people to test every pellet they can get their hands on before giving up on accuracy. Something just might surprise the daylights out of you!

Accurate
I bought these at the same time as the extreme Hunter. They group almost as good as the Extreme Hunter and go about 20FPS faster.
ProsAccurate, very uniform.

BAD ASS PELLET
I have a FX Wildcat, 22 cal. and when I use it to take out roof rats, at 125 ft. they are dead on and so is the rat.
Prosat that weight that is mentioned, you don't need a lighter or heavier pellet to do the job.

unsure
not accurate with a hatsan 125 all group tight but shoot low and to the right, might just be a picky gun but it shoots tree rats from 60 yards out with other pellets

Great Expanding pellet!
Great Pellet in my hatsan at44.. Muzzle velocity is 989 fps with outstanding accuracy out to 50 yrds. (Haven't tried them further yet)
ProsExpands violently out to 40 yrds at the stated velocity. Excellent screw on lid!
ConsThe B.C could be better.. Needs a little more weight to carry its energy further down range. Not quite as explosive @ 50yrds, but would still get the job done on smaller critters. There is a little weight variance from pellet to pellet , so I weigh mine before I shoot for accuracy.

"The Pellet"
This is "The One" w/my 27ft/lb Magnum Springer. Keeps energy downrange as good as some domed pellets at this wieght. You can see the Skirt Umbrellas out real nice w/deep rifling grooves as does the head when i softcatch them. 75yrds w/confidence.
ProsAirGun Depot had them when no one else did,4th tin free. Just ordered my 4.

Good but a bit Expensive
The reason for the 4 starts is due to their high price. These pellets are clean and the most accurate in my RWS 350 Magnum. They do an excellent job taming and quieting this magnum rifle. Their heavy weight prevents the hard slamming of the piston, thus reducing felt recoil and quieting the firing cycle. Their penetration into wood is slightly less than domed pellets such as the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum. This may be due to their hollow point design for expansion rather than deeper penetration.
ProsAccurate and works well in magnum. Good for hunting. Screw on tin lid.
ConsHigh price for a tin of 200 pellets

Very accurate pellet!
I am surprised at the accuracy of these pellets in my RWS 48. They group better than the JSB exact jumbos of the same weight. Not that the JSB's are a bad pellet by any means, they group very well too. I have used the H&N barracuda's in .177 with the same results. Very impressive for a hollow point pellet.
ProsWork great in my rifle. Spot on accuracy.
ConsNone so far.
