I am a licensed trapper with a fur bearers license in Texas. It does less damage to pelts than a .22lr and is just as effective. It will take out racoons, possums, coy dogs, fox and coyotes with well placed head or heart lung shots. These are generally taken at 25 yards and under.

Pros
Great accurate hollow point with great shock, penetration and take down power out of my Benjamin Vaporizer and Beeman Prowler. Exceptional accuracy at range up to 50 yards where I got 3/8 to 1/2 in groups using a gun sled. Closer in even at 35 yards I get consistent one hole groups. They load easily. I have taken several Racoons and possums at various ranges all head or heart lung shots, all needed but one pellet for a humane kill. I did not expect to get this much penetration and expansion from a lead hollow point but H&N did their homework well also producing a great match pellet all in one. Five shot groups at 25 yards from my Benjamin Prowler using one bag standing. I highly recommend trying these for hunting or target.

Cons
Not astetic in appearance of pellets but all are well made and consistent.

This pellet has the best expansion out of all the hollow points I’ve tested. Shot at 10lb clay block at 20yds.

Pros
Crazy expansion, well made.

Cons
Not my airguns favorite pellet so it?s a 4 out of 5 for me.

In looking for the best pellet for pest control having to deal recently with prairie dogs. I tested a couple of different pellet brands and weights that would first match well with my new 22cal. Benjamin Marauder Field and Target with consistent tight groups. And secondly a pellet that would be effective at a minimum of 50 yrds with good knock down power. Thus I found my match with these H&N Barracudas 18.21gr. Though I prefer washing all my pellets these H&N I found to be very clean with little blemish right from the can.

Pros
Clean and well formed pellets with minimal defects throughout the can.

Nice pellet, accurate. I have yet to take on a rat hunt. Based on my target shots, I am confident on the abilities of these pellets.

Pros
So far, all good.

Cons
Yet to find any.

I give 3 stars just for my own uses because my gun doesn't like this pallets.I'm not saying that it is bad pallet. The tin was nicely packed and the pallets themselves look good and they might shoot good for others.

Pros
Good looking pallets.

Cons
Don't shoot good for my gun

I used the JSB sampler and H&N sampler in my Hatsan Gladius with the Baracuda Hunter being the best. JSB's were really disappointing. Mechanical problems resulted in Hatsan giving me a new Gladius and it also shoots the Baracuda Hunter with the tightest groups. 5 shots with 3/8" grouping are consistent from a bipod and sand bagged stock butt. Over 900 '/sec from 2800 psi down to 2000 psi. The replacement gun also shoots the JSB's better but H&N is the pellet for my gun. It also shoots the Benjamin 14.3 gr. very well which I use in my Benjamin 392 pump.

Pros
Shoots well at varying power settings from my Hatsan or my Benjamin rifles.

Cons
None but I've found the actual ave. weight of the Baracuda Hunter to be closer to18.3+ gr. versus 18.21 gr. listed. No big deal just adds a little more energy assuming the same velocity.

Normal H&N quality, excellent. These are by far, my favorite hunting pellet. If they shot well out of my airgun, they are my go to pellet. It doesn't matter the caliber.

Pros
Every pellet is well formed and consistent. I also believe they are a great value.
