This Hatsan Model 125 Sniper air rifle combo is a complete hunting kit complete with scope, bipod & sling. It also has several nice upgrades you won't find in most other magnum air rifles. While many manufacturers make an accurate barrel, the downrange accuracy is often foiled by a bad trigger due to a heavy pull. Hatsan's proprietary Quattro trigger will surprise you with its adjustability and crisp release. The Mod 125 Sniper is ideal for plinking, shooting spinners, popping paper targets and dispatching small rodents at close distances.

Got a great price from Airgun Depot on my Hatsan .25 magnum springer. It arrived a day ahead of schedule and after 10 shots at 20 yards I was really bummed. 4" groups were not making me happy. Airgun Depot offered to do whatever it took to make things right. I appreciated that...Fast forward a month and it's giving me groups of 1" or less at 20 yards. If anyone is having a tough time with their Hatsan, don't give up. These cannons have a 1000 pellet break in (at least mine did). The JSB Exact Kings were doing their job, but the barrel needed some lead depositing. Stick with your .25 and it'll come around. Now I have a great airgun and I can depend on it to hit where I aim it. Patience is the key

Pros
Looks great and hits hard. The adjustable cheek piece is a nice addition to the stock. With these magnum springers it's important to be comfortable. Every shot has got to be the same hold and the same trigger pull. It's critical to being accurate.

Cons
None, now that it's broke in

I purchased this rifle a little over 3 years ago and have since sold it. But from the time I first shot it to the last, every shot was powerful to the point it was overpowering the pellet. I hit supersonic using the common pellets e.i. CPHP and anything under 10 grs. When I did finally find it's pellet of choice it settled down the power and provided me with better accuracy and overall consistency. I used JSB heavies and a brown box of elongated pellets from AOA. If I were to buy this again I would definitely go with a .25 cal.

Pros
Stock was sturdy, scope mounts are solid.

Cons
A tad bit too heavy for the average joe, I am about 5'11'' 180 lbs and I struggled with my artillery hold after a day of hunting and lugging this massive rifle around.

One shot one kill. Its my go to gun.

Pros
Extremely powerful and great takedown power

Cons
Not so much a con but the bipod is ehh. Ordered a new one and using the bipod in the kit for my .177 cal

I bought this item in vortex but late converted it to spring. I love the spring version mainly for the extra kick and power that is gained. There is a bit of recoil but it is not unbearable, considering that you are shooting a magnum rifle. I am able to take game out to 50 yards with this big boy. I use only heavy pellets with these, mainly H&N Barracuda power 21.14 grns H&N hHunter Extreme 19 grns, and JSB Exact 18.13. These three has not disappointed me; however I prefer the Barracudas. I am able to maintain 1/4" groupings out to 20 yrds...... This truly blows my mind. The balance is great, although it is a bit heavy. \I have no growls about it though because it helps to dampen the recoil and this increases accuracy.

Pros
Everything! The rifle is very sturdy. I love the silencer, it really does its job. Hands down, German steel can't be beaten. Trigger is good too also the adjustable cheek piece comes in handy when using my scope...

Cons
None at the moment... It has everything I've ever wanted from an air rifle.

Over all an amazing gun. Extremely accurate down range. It has a lot of cocking effort but thats understandable dueto the power it has...defiantly not a beginner air rifle. I didn't use the scope it came, i put a center point zombie sniper scope that is 3-9x40 on it. It took about 200 round to fully break in the gun. Looking forward to small game hunting with it. The bipod is iffy...it can slide around on the barrel. Sling is helpful when walking out to the shooting area

Pros
Powerful accurate quite down rang

Cons
I havent found any real cons for this gun yet

Five stars on the gun,but the sling and bipod not the best, but face it you are buying the gun. Shoots well with H&N Barracuda match 21.14 grain. Hard hitting and accurate, love the gun so well purchased a Hatsan striker 1000, One other thing does reguire a little "umph"to cock the gun so trade arms or you will be lopsided.

Pros
Great gun, good value and accurate.fun to shoot, scope is not bad like a few have said.

Cons
Sling hardware is not great, bipod is a little awkward.

I have had this rifle 2 days and am returning it due to accuracy issues. I am an experienced airgun shooter, having shot them since about the age of 4. I can pull hole-in-hole groups at 30 yards with my Stoeger X-10, but after 400 rounds and 5 different pellets including JSB Exact Monster and Exact Jumbo Diabolo, H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme, RWS Super-H-Point and Crosman Premier Hollowpoints and with either the iron sights or the three different scope/ mount setups i have, i could not consistently get 4 inch groups. I got ONE three inch group. I believe that the barrel was not seating the same every time i chambered a round. Also the scope mounting rail was welded on kind of cockeyed. It was angled to the left and i had to max out both the windage and elevation on all 3 scopes to be able to get it to hit within 3 inches of the bullseye. I may have just gotten a lemon but i would not buy it again, mostly because of the scope mounting rails. The scope itself was fine and i have seen some great reviews on this rifle. I dont know if i would reccomend this to a friend or not, because i would have to shoot another to see what the qc is like. I am exchanging this for a Hatsan Model 95 Vortex.

Pros
I love the trigger. It's probably THE BEST trigger i know of for an airgun. As good as my dads Weatherby .300 WSM deer rifle! It broke so clean and was so light i was surprised by it when i first shot it. Power was exceptional. It buried JSB Exact Jumbo Diabolo pellets so far in a 2X4 i couldnt see it and it just blew through 1" plywood. I would say that, if your rifle was accurate, you could drop a young coyote.

Cons
Accuracy (probably an isolated incident. Im sure other rifles will shoot well) Scope mounting rail and scope mounts are not great. Cosmetically, my stock was nice and dark in the front and was light and almost chalky looking in the back.

i have the Gamo whisper fusion pro 1400 fps how does this compare

asked jeremy

I am wondering if the gun is worth the price, and I'm wondering if it would work for taking care of larger pests like rabbits out to about 30-40 yards. Thank you for looking at my question.

asked jared

Yes it is worth the price. It can kill a coyote at 15 to 20 yards if you aim right and use the right hunting pellets

Yaz

I've bought this especially for rabbits and I can assure you it does the job even at about 60 meters considering that's 65.62 yards. I didn't try it at greater ranges on rabbits, but sure as hell it kills them easier than the model AT44 PCP from the same brand. I did shoot at empty tomato cans at about 100 yards and the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gr went trough without any problem, so I suspect it could eventually kill a pest at such ranges. I'll tell you in a week or two. It is fun, and does the job as easy as a .22 but with less ammo costs. By the way, be prepared to exercise your arms muscles, because the beast doesn't cock with ease. Hope i was helpful in some way.

Gerard

Do I need. A gun license for this gun?

asked cj

In my past experience, once a pellet gets up near the speed of sound, it becomes unstable, and inaccurate. Are they now making pellets that will shoot 1/2" groups at 50 yards, at super-sonic muzzle velocities?

asked Richard Lee

Does it come with ammo?

asked Codey from USA

no it does not come with ammo. very nice gun.

edward from USA

Does it have the vortex gas system as standard ?

asked Marius

No. This is the springer version.

is the scope a mil dot and how hard is it to cock the gun

asked Jacoby from USA

The scope that came with my rifle was not a mil dot, but it's decent. You do get a good work out let's say when cocking the rifle. But after doing it for a while you get accustomed to it. And the accuracy when paired with the predator poly mags is awesome. Enjoy.

Andre from USA

Good question! No the scope is not mil-dot, I have a 4x16 Nikon on mine. A good scope will hold up better on this rifle. The cocking force is 51 lbs, but it is so much addictive I don't mind.

Paul from USA

Which one is better-Hatsan 125 sniper .22cal or Umerax Octane gas piston .22cal?

asked Gerti from USA

I can't speak to the Umerax, but bought the Hatsan last year for my son. The Hatsan is heavy and well built for an air gun. It shoots very consistently, and although you will see some group movement depending on the type/brand of pellets used, it shoots various types of ammunition well. My son and I have put approximately 500 rounds through this rifle to date, and have had no mechanical failures. Overall my impression is it's a well built air rifle that performs as promised with reliability.

It said it is free shipping is it?

asked lj

Yes anything over 199 will have free shipping.

Scott from USA

Which of these are the quieter, the .25 or the.177? Can't seem to make up my mind.

asked Chad

Definitely the .25 because the muzzle velocity for the .177 is at 1250 fps. This would break the sound barrier of around 1100fps resulting in an non-suppressible sonic boom, which sounds similar to the crack of a .22 rifle.

Chun from USA

Does anyone know the actual cocking effort? I know it says 33, but mfg's exaggerate that #. I'm guessing somewhere between 32 and 45, but that's a huge difference. If it's 32 then I'm putting this gun on my seriously considering list. I also assume that the gun cannot accept a nitro spring by design, can anyone confirm? Thanks!

asked ROBERT from USA

It is about 60 pounds of cocking force! Its a beast, but that pellet blows through anything!!!!

I from

Can I Put a nitro Piston upgrade in this?

asked Joe

Is the hatsan model 125 with its sniper kit heavy duty? Can it shoot at least a hundred yards very easy and accurately? O and powerful? And does it shoot pellets or bullets and what kind are they?

asked Dalton DeSutter

For an air rifle; yes its fairly well built. the bipod is a joke so just get rid of it, the scope and rings are sub-par. as for the range, i doubt any air rifle can shoot that far for under $500. for the money, and considering that it is a spring powered; it is very powerful. it shoots .22 pellets.

Jake

I cant tell u how the gun shoots because I don't own one but I can tell u that it dosent take bullets it take pellets the size of pellets depends on what caliber you get

Jacoby from USA

how loud is it

asked matthew Patterson

I've seen on a blog where someone swapped the spring in this rifle for a nitro piston - is that really possible? And if so, anybody have info on where to find a compatible nitro piston, how much, etc?

asked Jim Bellows

Hello, It is in fact possible to customize the mechanics of an air rifle. we do not do that here though. Also, dismantling a gun nullifies the warranty of both our store and the manufacturer. So, If you do really want to change the mechanism, make sure you find a very capable person.

Scott from USA

how does this gun shoot

asked matt

This is a single fire, break barrel rifle.
