Even though FPS rates may look the same from brand to brand, that may not always be the case. Hatsan tests this rating using lead pellets, but most competitors use lighter aluminum alloy pellets. What this means for you is that your Hatsan Model 125 .22 Caliber Sniper Air Rifle with 3-9x32 Scope will deliver more knockdown power than an alloy-tested airgun with the same FPS rating.Hatsan airguns offer specialty features that come standard within the product line to provide shooters with a better shooting experience.

Hatsan Unique Features:

Quattro Trigger: Advanced two-stage match trigger only available from Hatsan
Shock Absorber System (SAS): Reduces vibration and increases the life of the gun, optics, and accessories
TruGlo® Fiber Optics: Microadjustable rear sight and front sight to lend more accuracy to every shot
Triopad® Butt System: Maximum recoil absorption provides added comfort, and three stock spacers allow adjustments for appropriate length of pull.
Integrated Sound Moderator: Sound moderator in muzzle break for reduced down-range noise
Elevation-Adjustable Comb An easy adjustment for proper fit and added comfort.
Safety: A drop safety interlock device has been incorporated to eliminate the possibility of the airgun accidentally firing if it’s dropped (whether or not the safety is on).

Hatsan Mod 125 Sniper in .25
From Staff: Steve provided an in depth review of the Hatsan Model 125 Sniper Rifle in our air gun reviews section.

Getting personal with the Sniper is gratifying. While it is big, and takes some muscle to cock, its firing & cocking cycle is smooth. The gun shoulders well, and the raised cheek piece is a comfort when making those long shots count. The trigger is wonderfully predictable, and mine broke cleanly and when I wanted it to. The grey silicone rubber grips on the forearm and grip are more for handsome looks than anything else. The guns stock texture by itself is plenty organic feeling, and inspires grippy confidence in the field. Something also worth mentioning is the that sound moderator really works on this rifle. It's not just for show. So if stealth is your bag - the Sniper has you covered. It is very quiet.

So the Sniper has good looks, was born of sound heritage, and can put its money where its mouth is. Im pretty particular natured, and I am darn impressed with it. Now, the mere sight of the Sniper resting in the cabinet brings a tickle to my stomach in anticipation of having more fun. The true litmus test of any air rifle is. "are you excited to take it out to play again. And I most certainly am!

Footnote: The photographs are as follows...

5 shot group of JSB Predator Polymags at 30'
5 shot group of JSB Exact Kings at 25 yards
Two 6 shot groups of JSB Exact Kings at 53 yards
Prosquality accuracy power company heritage
ConsI would not call this a "dislike," as I feel it ads to the personality of this rifle but this gun may not be for everyone. It is bigger and heavier than the usual springer.

Hatsan 125 sniper combo .25
Got a great price from Airgun Depot on my Hatsan .25 magnum springer. It arrived a day ahead of schedule and after 10 shots at 20 yards I was really bummed. 4" groups were not making me happy. Airgun Depot offered to do whatever it took to make things right. I appreciated that...Fast forward a month and it's giving me groups of 1" or less at 20 yards. If anyone is having a tough time with their Hatsan, don't give up. These cannons have a 1000 pellet break in (at least mine did). The JSB Exact Kings were doing their job, but the barrel needed some lead depositing. Stick with your .25 and it'll come around. Now I have a great airgun and I can depend on it to hit where I aim it. Patience is the key
ProsLooks great and hits hard. The adjustable cheek piece is a nice addition to the stock. With these magnum springers it's important to be comfortable. Every shot has got to be the same hold and the same trigger pull. It's critical to being accurate.
ConsNone, now that it's broke in

Probably better in a bigger caliber
I purchased this rifle a little over 3 years ago and have since sold it. But from the time I first shot it to the last, every shot was powerful to the point it was overpowering the pellet. I hit supersonic using the common pellets e.i. CPHP and anything under 10 grs. When I did finally find it's pellet of choice it settled down the power and provided me with better accuracy and overall consistency. I used JSB heavies and a brown box of elongated pellets from AOA. If I were to buy this again I would definitely go with a .25 cal.
ProsStock was sturdy, scope mounts are solid.
ConsA tad bit too heavy for the average joe, I am about 5'11'' 180 lbs and I struggled with my artillery hold after a day of hunting and lugging this massive rifle around.

Power and Accuracy
I bought this item in vortex but late converted it to spring. I love the spring version mainly for the extra kick and power that is gained. There is a bit of recoil but it is not unbearable, considering that you are shooting a magnum rifle. I am able to take game out to 50 yards with this big boy. I use only heavy pellets with these, mainly H&N Barracuda power 21.14 grns H&N hHunter Extreme 19 grns, and JSB Exact 18.13. These three has not disappointed me; however I prefer the Barracudas. I am able to maintain 1/4" groupings out to 20 yrds...... This truly blows my mind. The balance is great, although it is a bit heavy. \I have no growls about it though because it helps to dampen the recoil and this increases accuracy.
ProsEverything! The rifle is very sturdy. I love the silencer, it really does its job. Hands down, German steel can't be beaten. Trigger is good too also the adjustable cheek piece comes in handy when using my scope...
ConsNone at the moment... It has everything I've ever wanted from an air rifle.

Mod 125 sniper
Over all an amazing gun. Extremely accurate down range. It has a lot of cocking effort but thats understandable dueto the power it has...defiantly not a beginner air rifle. I didn't use the scope it came, i put a center point zombie sniper scope that is 3-9x40 on it. It took about 200 round to fully break in the gun. Looking forward to small game hunting with it. The bipod is iffy...it can slide around on the barrel. Sling is helpful when walking out to the shooting area
ProsPowerful accurate quite down rang
ConsI havent found any real cons for this gun yet

Great gun
Five stars on the gun,but the sling and bipod not the best, but face it you are buying the gun. Shoots well with H&N Barracuda match 21.14 grain. Hard hitting and accurate, love the gun so well purchased a Hatsan striker 1000, One other thing does reguire a little "umph"to cock the gun so trade arms or you will be lopsided.
ProsGreat gun, good value and accurate.fun to shoot, scope is not bad like a few have said.
ConsSling hardware is not great, bipod is a little awkward.

Quality not up to par
I have had this rifle 2 days and am returning it due to accuracy issues. I am an experienced airgun shooter, having shot them since about the age of 4. I can pull hole-in-hole groups at 30 yards with my Stoeger X-10, but after 400 rounds and 5 different pellets including JSB Exact Monster and Exact Jumbo Diabolo, H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme, RWS Super-H-Point and Crosman Premier Hollowpoints and with either the iron sights or the three different scope/ mount setups i have, i could not consistently get 4 inch groups. I got ONE three inch group. I believe that the barrel was not seating the same every time i chambered a round. Also the scope mounting rail was welded on kind of cockeyed. It was angled to the left and i had to max out both the windage and elevation on all 3 scopes to be able to get it to hit within 3 inches of the bullseye. I may have just gotten a lemon but i would not buy it again, mostly because of the scope mounting rails. The scope itself was fine and i have seen some great reviews on this rifle. I dont know if i would reccomend this to a friend or not, because i would have to shoot another to see what the qc is like. I am exchanging this for a Hatsan Model 95 Vortex.
ProsI love the trigger. It's probably THE BEST trigger i know of for an airgun. As good as my dads Weatherby .300 WSM deer rifle! It broke so clean and was so light i was surprised by it when i first shot it. Power was exceptional. It buried JSB Exact Jumbo Diabolo pellets so far in a 2X4 i couldnt see it and it just blew through 1" plywood. I would say that, if your rifle was accurate, you could drop a young coyote.
ConsAccuracy (probably an isolated incident. Im sure other rifles will shoot well) Scope mounting rail and scope mounts are not great. Cosmetically, my stock was nice and dark in the front and was light and almost chalky looking in the back.

This is one great gun wish they sold it without the scope as it is not great. I replaced it with a tactical red dot much better. I also agree with others about the Bi-pod next to useless but the gun is well worth the price and is well made.
ProsWell made and accurate right out of the box

Powerful Beast
Wow, Where do i start, what a great air rifle. This Air rifle is definitely not for the novice, it has a very tight break barrel, you need to be strong to cock this gun. its got a great little "crack" when you let a round off, even better if you use alloy rounds. My only draw back with this package is the scope, works great, just wont stay still on the gun. due to the recoil and vibration of the Air rifle it causes the Scope to slide back bit by bit of the mounting rails, meaning you have too sight it in nearly every time you use it. but overall i would MORE than recommend this rife!!!
ProsPower Noise .22 Cal still with 1000fps Weight Adjustable stock and cheek pad Looks great in synthetic
ConsScope shims back off the rails after 20 rounds

Incredible power!!
As usual Airgun Depot had fast shipping everything packaged very well.
I started the break in proccess. (Will take around 250-400 shots IMO)
a couple things i noticed that i didn't like were the Safety it is a little on the flimsy side
it eventualy failed on me and had to return the gun :(
When considering purchasing this rifle keep in mind this thing kicks very hard and is quite
hold sensitive you will need to master the artillery hold if you want the increadible accuracy from this gun.
Out of the box the gun is well made with no ruff edges. Its a little crunchy at first but will start to smooth out
over time. Over all id say it is the most powerful spring air gun on the market or very close. For me it ended up being to much gun
for what i needed. When the safety failed i returned it for a gun with less power and does the same thing to pests.
It was an interesting experiancce but i will stick to my other guns.
I wouldn't recomend this riffle to a beginer springer it is very large hold sensitive and is a real chalange to find a shooting position
that works for this gun.
ProsPowerful Accurate Well built
ConsSafety is the only junky part of this riffle it sucks and i hope it gets addressed

POWERFUL.
You actually need to slow down the power a bit. Use Kodiak 10.65 gr. Pellets. They work great, & they quiet the rifle down too.
150 rounds through it, then it got accurate. (Maybe due to factory grease in barrel)?
Throw away the scope & by-pod. Buy a decent scope & you will be happy.
Got a great price on Father's Day $194. Out The Door, including delivery!
ProsPowerful. accurate.
ConsHeavy & long. But who cares, when it works so well?

Best air rifle I've shot to date.
My Hatsan 125 sniper was purchased mostly for plinking but also for pest control. I own several different break barrel air rifles, I only wish I would have bought this one first. Accurate is an understatment. I recommend cleaning the barrel every 100 shots or so. I've been shooting an empty pellet tin on the end of a string at 60 yards all day. I'm no super man, and it's been below zero for over a week, but I can still cock and fire this rifle from inside a warm vehicle.
ProsPrice, power, accuracy, enjoyable to shoot....all day.
ConsWell it's not really a con, but this rifle weighs as much if not more than my savage .308. The sling makes toting the rifle around easy, but I can't help but feel that the slings clips might fail. Might.

Powerfully accurate
Ordered my Hatsan 125 .22 sniper rifle last Thursday and received it on the expected date (7 days later). Opened the package and immediately I could tell this was a well built gun. Took it out, made sure everything was fastened properly, which is was, and then took it out for a test drive. Shot about 50 Crosman 14.3 grain .22 hollow point pellets, was fairly accurate using the "tru glow" sights. I then mounted the scope, which really isn't too bad considering everyone else seemed to have a negative opinion about it.. So I zeroed in the scope after some 6, 7 attempts and am now destroying 11/2 x 3" narrow tins at roughly 80yrds/240ft, and with great force might I add. All the power and noise comes from the spring, cocking the barrel takes a little strength (50lb) worth. Not for the young and the weak and differently not a "daisy" bb toy gun. Buyers will be pleased with this purchase.
ProsAll around a built ford tough gun
ConsGun is hefty, spring creats powerful kick for an airgun and noise (which I personally like) but stealthy hunters may not.

This is the real thing!!
Wow, wow I cannot get over how impressive this rifle is, it feels like a real sniper rifle. The quality is unbelievable for this price and it is so much better looking than the pictures show!! It is very heavy and built very solid. Fit and Finish EXCELLENT!!!

Get over the bipod, it is just to display this gorgeous rifle, and you will want to display this rifle. I cannot stop looking at it and picking it up!!

The scope is free and not bad but to fully get every bit of capability out of this rifle buy a nice scope and rings to set it off.

I would defiantly look at Hatsan for my future purchases first that is for sure!
ProsEverything about this rifle is exceptional for $250 it looks and feels like a high priced RWS, I believe this rifle is at the same level for half the price.
ConsHeavy and little louder than I thought it would be, these are not a deal breaker that is for sure.

Like Ken at myairgunreviews say this is a beast! Under a inch with 7 different pellets. Both my 125 and 85 are two of my favorite break barrels.

it took 2
The first gun I received looked great but would not group. Like 16" at 20 yards. Bore was way too tight and breech seal needed shimmed. Barrel was loose. Was very upset. Sent it back to Airgun Depot and requested an exchange. They handled everything very well and I hat the new gun in 10 days from the day I shipped it. The 2nd gun is a hammer. 1" 5 shot groups out of the box at 20 yards. Literally out of the box. Didn't bother with included scope or bipod. Just robbed my cp 4-16x40 off another gun and 5 shots to sight in. It loves JSB 25.4 and that's what I will use. And mine shoots well rested.
ProsVery quiet and smooth. shoulders well
ConsTrigger is not match grade. It feels more like 6lbs. But is very predictable and manageable.

Hard hitting, great value
As the other reviews say, this is a large and heavy rifle, and I must rest the butt on the ground and use two hands on the "silencer" to cock it. However, this is no BB gun. I couldn't wait to go outdoors to test fire it, so I set up an experiment indoors to test the power. I placed a bar of hand soap against an old phone book on my kitchen counter, thinking the pellet would create an entry and exit wound in the wax-like soap, and I could get a general idea of of the power by how far the pellet would penetrate the phone book after exiting the soap. I fired from about three feet, and the entire soap bar exploded into small fragments that I'm still finding in every nook and cranny of my rather large kitchen. So much for the entry and exit wound. The pellet also disintegrated, and I only found a few pieces of it embedded in the phone book. After replacing the scope with one of decent quality, this rifle clearly out performs the inexpensive "1000 fps" single cock rifle it is replacing, and it is hard hitting and accurate . It is a bit bit loud in my opinion, for an air rifle, but that's not surprising considering the velocity, and I don't know how much of the report is sonic crack. The quality of workmanship is fine, and it is well made. I am very pleased with it.
ProsPower, accuracy, quality built. excellent bargain for the price
ConsLarge and heavy, mediocre scope, cheap bi-pod.

Hatsan sniper 125 in 25 cal.
It is exactly like it was described in air gun reviews I had read before I made the purchase. After 300 shots I am very pleased with the rifle.
ProsThe rifle is very accurate and very powerful, for a large caliber springer. The only thing I would like to change would be maybe be the length. It would be nice if they made a carbine version of the rifle that would cut down on the weight and length. All in all, it's a great rifle.

true sniper
Received this air rifle from Airgun Depot about two months ago. This rifle is big and heavy and extremely powerful. Once you realize how much power this thing has, and how accurate it is with heavy pellets, you tend to over look the weight a little. With JSB exact diablo heavy 10.34 grain pellets, this gun is a tack driving beast. The scope that comes with the gun is mediocre to say the least. The bipod is useless in my opinion. However, without a scope or bipod the gun is still a good value at $209.00 with a good mil dot scope you can easily pull 100 yard shots. The JSB pellets I mentioned hit with such authority, small to medium sized game don't stand a chance.
ProsPower and accuracy.
ConsScope and bipod.

Maybe I'm just not an airgun guy...
The included bipod is a joke, and a bad one at that. Included optics are "meh, better than nothing." Due to the weight of this thing, the sling is a nice addition if you plan on taking it out farther than your back yard. If I could do it again, I'd get the black stock instead of the camo. The gun has so much cocking effort, there's no point trying to be discrete. You're more likely to be seen and heard fidgeting and grunting while cocking it and snapping the barrel up than from the black stock being made out, but the camo is a nice touch for the slight price difference if you like that sort of thing. The adjustable cheek riser is nice for when you're scoping, but I found it a bit too short for me, and locking it in place is tricky too. It does have a recoil, but it was manageable. I'm not sure how effective the sound suppressor is because the spring seems to drown everything else out. Long target shooting sessions are exhausting due to (again) the cocking effort and weight of the gun. If you don't use the right pellets in this thing, you'll think it's defective. I'm still trying to find a pellet that balances accuracy and power.

So far I've only tried 2 different pellets in it and Crosman Premier Hollow Point (domed) performs way better than RWS Superpoint Field Line (pointed). Still waiting to try the elusive JSBs though.

I would recommend this item to a friend, but sell mine to him or her.
ProsIt puts holes in stuff Quieter than a .22LR Adjustable cheek riser
ConsBipod is useless. Spring is kinda loud Picky about ammo Heavy weight & cocking effort Adjustable cheek riser could be better

Hatsan 125 sniper .22 cal.
I purchased this sniper rifle to compare performance with my Walther Talon .22. Both are very accurate. I installed 4-16x40 UTG/Leapers scope on sniper but replaced the rings from high to Accushot/UTG medium profile rings for more stable scope mount. After cleaning the barrel from the factory grease, I sighted it in. With five shots, I was hitting the centerpoint touching each other on my target paper at ten yards. I have tried various pellets, but the JSB Match Diablo Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gr. has the most accurate result.
Pros1. Accurate 2. Powerful 3. Price is affordable 4. Materials used are very sturdy 5. Nice to have sling and sound suppressor
Cons1. Scope and rings 2. bipod should be replaced by a better scope and rings 3. cocking is designed for strong arms

Hatsan Model 125 Sniper Kit
Powerful springer. I'm getting around 31 FPE with it and over 700 FPS in .25 caliber. VERY hold sensitive but accurate if held properly. Cocking is a chore but i expected that. Very quiet - much more quiet than my Benjamin Trail NP-XL .22.
ProsPower, accuracy. looks.
ConsCheap scope and useless bipod. Should just do away with those and lower the price or do away with the bipod and upgrade the scope.

A REAL GUN FOR A REAL MAN
This gun is no child's toy you need strength and skill....this is my first pellet gun, however i shot quite a few rifles but when i shot this gun for the first the recoil surprised me with a nice good punch in the shoulder and woke me up...WARNING his gun is not for the weak or small people...
Prosits comfortable to hold ,it feels like a reel gun ,the quality is great , the trigger is amazing over all its just a great powerful and accurate gun.
