I bought this gun from Air Gun Depot on 8/8/2014. This gun has been very accurate and is a high quality air rifle. I have had one problem with it though, a spring broke in the Quatro Trigger Assembly between the first stage seer and the second sage seer. This problem is in no way the fault of Air Gun Depot and they have been very helpful in my trying to resolve this issue. Air Gun Depot cannot obtain Quatro Trigger Parts but they gave me a phone number to Hatsan USA Service. Hasan USA can get trigger parts but they can not sell the parts retail in the United States due to liablity reasons. What they can do is repair the gun in their shop for a fee. The spring broke in the gun well after the warranty period had expired. They explained that with shipping both ways and labor parts, the repair would cost $100, and maybe more depending on the circumstances involved with the repair. That was good, at least I knew that I could get something done through Hatsan USA if i wanted to. I had explained to Hatsan USA, that I was a retired Class A Repair Machinist and had repaired very complex machines for 35yrs and wanted to buy the parts and do the repair myself. They would not sell the parts as I stated before because of US liability laws. I can,t blame them for that, with law suits the way they are in the US. Through Gateway to Air Guns Forum I found out about a place in Bulgaria that sells complete Quatro Trigger Assemblies for around $32. The price is 55 bulgarian leva. One leva equals.58 cents. 55 leva x .58=the cost (which is about $32.) Hatsan are very good air rifles and I have 2 of them but some parts can be a problem. This is good information to copy and retain for future use if necessary. Do not let let this problem that I have explained prevent you from buying a Hatsan, this is a freak situation and I am only trying to show some solutions in case a problem arises.

My first air rifle. I'm a pretty avid shooter, but wanted something to play with, teach my son the basics of firearms, to rid off some pests in the backyard, and fire something that wouldn't have the authorities putting bracelets on me. Right out of the box it's great. The included scope is cheap. I just about maxed out both windage and elevation zeroing it, but got it to a quarter size group with 10-15 rounds at 50'. Bipod is a piece of poo but was useful for the zeroing process. The best part was killing the squirrel that has been tearing up my yard. I had previously took out the screen from the window facing out to the back. I had spotted the lil sucker under my shed so I opened the window ever so stealthily and popped one just under the chin at about 60'. He never saw it coming! Great rifle so far. I look forward to many years of fun with it. Will do another review after putting more rounds down range.

What can I say, this rifle is a real gem. I got it a few weeks ago on the daily deals for something like 150 bucks, but it's worth the 200! I am a big guy and this gun is big, it's long and heavy. But for me its perfect. It's so well balanced, it does not seem like your holding such a big gun. The sights just fall right into place. The other reviewer said his trigger was lose. I would recommend getting it looked at cause the trigger on mine is by far the smoothest, cleanest pull I have ever felt on a air gun. Granted there are guns out there that cost 5X this one and they may be better. However this thing is like butter! It only took a few shots for me to get the exact spot. The power is crazy. I ran a swab down the barrel just to clean out the excess oil so the first few shots did not sound like a .22. The recoil is pretty small in my opinion. I did not think it was hitting that hard on the target and cans I was shooting. So for kicks I took an OLD computer case (you know the ones back in the day that were made of 1/16th steel!). I laid the side of that out and stepped back a few feet. I put a perfectly round hole right though it! I am pretty sure there is nothing small game wise this baby wont take out at a reasonable distance. I am blind in one eye and can't see very well out of the other so I am not the shot I used to be. However, after I got use to this guns personality (all springer's are a bit different) I was placing 1.5 inch groups anyplace I liked. Now I am sure that ANYONE could do better. I am shooting RWS supermag field line pellets and this thing just eats them up. I have to share one more thing, after shooting a hole straight through this old computer case, I tried the following items as well...an old sat. dish, TV and PVC pipe (this thing went right though or in the case of the PVC destroyed it). I got a little ambitious and tried a old car amp, the heavy solid aluminum side. I shot it and there was this big cloud of white smoke. It took a good chunk of it out so I did it again, same white smoke. The only thing I could figure out was it was hitting so hard it was vaporizing either the pellet or the aluminum or both...either way it was way cool! (if your wondering, I used to fix all this stuff back in the day, which is why my garage is filled with it). Don't pass up this brand or this gun, I am glad I didn't! Thanks honey for being a great wife and letting me buy BB guns for my birthday! (My son bough me a EBOS! how cool of family do I have!)

Pros
Power is great. Balance was perfect for me, just can't seem to miss! It is well made, its like a tank but fits together like a piece fine jewelry. Cocking is pretty easy with such a long barrel. Pretty nice scope for a add-on. Usually they are pretty junky, not this one.

Cons
It was a shame to see so much oil on everything for such a fine made gun. Took a bit of cleaning, probably a fluke so not gonna ding it on that. The bipod was free and is really only good for display as it just spring clips on. Once you pick up the rifle it kind of just swings around and falls off. I would have gladly paid an extra 20-30 bucks for a nice folding one, which is what I am gonna do. This review is about the gun and not the freebies AGD throws in, so I am not gonna ding this either.

After having the chance to put over a thousand rounds through this gun, I am certaintly satisfied with the outcome of this product. The overall feel of the gun is very nice, really evenly distributed.

Pros
The power it has. The weight of the gun. The pre mounted sights.

Cons
The mounting rail on top is really just to slits, not very sturdy. The trigger is very loose even after making the adjustments to it.

I was wondering if this particular rifle had been chronographed because in the description it says 1250 fps and then also states its only 1000 fps. Trying to figure out which one it is.

asked Adam

That's a miss print on the 1250fps for the mod 85 it's only 1000fps with lead, the sniper 125 is 1250. But the mod 85 is a good gun for just about anything it is a little on the heavy side. I have one in .22 cal. and like mine very accurate and powerful. did some 100yrd shots and penetrated a plastic cooler from this distance.

Would you purchase this same rifle if you could choose again among other rifles in this price range?

asked Wayne Mattingly

how is cost shiping to dallastx on this item

asked raul

When you place the order through the website, you will be shown the shipping cost before you make any payment.

Scott from USA

Do you think this is a good gun for target shooting?

asked Frank

Yes, I recently purchased this gun and think it's an exceptional gun for target shooting. The only downside is the way the scope mounts, it's not the best mounting rail. However, with a little bit of tinkering it can be fixed.

TREVOR from USA

Can the bi pod come off?

asked Robert

Yes, easily.

Steve from USA

does this gun come with bullets?

asked Chance

Pellets sold separately.
