A heavier wadcutter pellet, the RWS Super Mag was designed for the more powerful magnum airguns. Ideal where knockdown power is a factor. It is particularly suitable for shooting with powerful airguns such as the Gamo Hunter Extreme and RWS 350 and 460 Magnum air rifles. These pellets are 9.3 grain weight in .177 caliber.

ProsConsistent shape and weight Nice big holes on paper. Good price.

Supermag 9.3
Bought these for my Crosman NP 1200fps. This gun really likes these pellets and very accurate at my sight-in of 12yards. 5 shot groups at a 1/2" max spread, edge to edge. Its also very deadly head shots to the local rat population around my chicken coup. Its important to me for accuracy and instant kills. I have another Gamo NP 1400fps, that gets the heaviest of pellets. Slowing the pellet down as it leaves the barrel to just below supersonic stops any wobble and accuracy issues IMHO.
ProsVery uniform in weight and appearance. Deadly accurate in the right gun.

Great pellet for higher velocity airguns
Groups really well out of my crosman phantom 1000 air rifle and averages about 815 fps. Hits hard and since this rifle is very hold sensitive, I limit my shots to 30 yds or less so these pellets work great for hunting at reasonable ranges.
ProsMore stable than lighter pellets

Accourate Pellet
This Pellet works real good in accuracy with my RWS 34 and 350 Magnum. I think this Pellet will work as good with other Air Rifles also.
ProsAccuracy and no fly away shots.

not suprisingly excellent
Performed very well in my accuracy tests today giving a 3/4 inch group at 25 yards and I'm pretty sure I can beat that on a day when I'm not doing a marathon testing session of over 30 different pellets to get tested. So on to longer range testing with this pellet in my Gamo bone collector Bull Whisper. Just another example of what I am beginning to expect for RWS perfection.
ProsVery Accurate and a nice heavy weight I'm hoping will allow it to hang on to that accuracy out there a ways.

Excellent grouping with Ruger Air Mag and Walther talon Magnum
More high quality pellets from RWS. They group extremely well out to 25 yards which is as far as my range reaches. Had to make minor scope adjustments with both rifles which is to be expected. They also shoot well in my non magnum rifles which makes them a versatile pellet.
ProsAccuracy is always #1 on my list. These pellets are certainly in that category. They are clean in the canister and chamber easily.

Great value, better accuracy in my Crosman Storm XT
I had tried shooting Daisy and Crosman pellets in my Crosman Storm XT (.177 cal.). I could not get any consistency with shot groupings. The Daisy and Crosman pellets had more imperfections and less tight a fit in the chamber. The RWS Super Mag pellets fit the chamber more snugly, and feel as though they are a bit more slippery (lubricated?). But the shot groupings tell the real story. I'll be buying RWS pellets from now on.
ProsTruer shape Snugger fit in chamber Slight lubrication Tighter groups on the target

super paper puncher
I use Supermags exclusively for my Beeman P-1 Pistol. The mass helps buffer the powerful mainspring of the P-1 due to its mass and is ever true in flight. One problem has been the need to size each 500 count tin or the heavy wall causes too much friction in the rifling and tends to blow out the O Ring breech seal on the P-1. However, when sized, these pellets are excellent. I also use these in my RWS Model 36 springer and they perform with equal precision provided they are sized, and for the same reason.
ProsConsistent quality and mass to temper magnum airgun springs. A clean pellet, too!
ConsConsistency rules in skirt diameter with this pellet, ergo, one MUST size them so they seat appropriately in the breech. Sizing 500 pellets at least keeps me busy for an hour or so while watching TV on a rainy evening.

Hunting
I like the Super mag because it is a well made, strong, accurate pellet that packs a punch,i can put a perfect 17 caliber hole threw ply wood, while other flat nosed pellets that way less then 9.3 grains smash and go half way,the supermag works best under 25 yards and has great penatration because of its 9.3 grains,my benjamin 397 shoots it accurate and is able to dispatch starlings and squirlls up to 35 yards, while other pellets like domed or pointed can do 50-70 yards out of my benjamin the super mag is a solid solid smack instead of pokeing holes,im not sure how it would handle in a gun at 1000 fps but it handles great with 800 fps
