These pellets really anything they hit. There fun to see what they can make it through. Would make a horrible hunting pellet though do to the size of the impact they make
Pros
penetration
Cons
not a good hunting pellet
best penetration pellet ever designed. really surprising. cannot expect more from 22 cal air rifle.
Love them. The red plastic sabot ensure a good seal and fit. Accurate beyond compare. 1in groups at 50yrds and 2 at 100yrds.
Pros
Accurate
Cons
Needs to be softer material. Brass does not mushroom at all.
Increased velocity and good accuracy. The issue I have is that they go through squirrels and chipmunks, and often times they run off not knowing they're shot. I like to get the kill and dispose of the carcass, but with these you tend to lose some of your prey as they run away injured to die elsewhere. Big issue is that if you open your barrel for any reason, these are a little skinny and don't fit snugly in the barrel, and they fly out, leaving you searching for the fallen pellet.
Skirt too skinny. Not tight fitting in barrel. If better fitting would hit harder farther. Still good.
Pros
Up close ( 20 yards) will go through pretty thick metal. 30 yards no. Better point and weight would help.
Cons
Needs better design.
This pellet, if you can still call it that, is absolutely superb. It's more a sabot bullet than a pellet. Energy transfer to the pellet upon impact is immense. It will penetrate 2x more than an average tipped magnum pellet. Pretty nice grouping at 50 yards too.
Pros
Unbeatable penetrating power
Good accuracy
Skenco pioneers unique pellet design with this one
Cons
Probably best in a higher powered airgun
When I purchased these pellets off of the website they were advertised as 16 gr, 90 count, my receipt indicated as such. When I received them I was disappointed to find that the manufacturer has made some changes to this pellet. It is now improved due to some of the issue that the previous model had. Only thing is, is that the new pellet is now 18 gr (which is ok by me) but there are only 75 to a package, same price of course. I might have taken this a bit better if I had at least been notified of the change instead of just mailed the changed package. I think I will end up keeping and trying out for hunting, as this was the original intent. I have not shot them yet and will post on their performance once I do. Until they impress me a lot I will keep from recommending these to anyone.
Pros
Heavier weight for hunting.
Cons
Cost per unit
Change in packaging/count without notification
Pros
I have used these several times and out off all the different 22 cal air rifle ammunition I have used these are by far my favorite
