It's easy to install. Remove front strap, remove the fore guard, remove front barrel saddle, save screws. Put the rail where the fore guard was paying attention to the v-notch (plastic/wood fore guard has same notch). Once placed, use the two screws removed from the front saddle to secure the rail to the rifle in the same holes the screws were removed from. There are two holes in the rail for this purpose. Reattach the fore guard strap as you removed it.

Pros
Tightens up the loose fit of the fore guard, greatly reduces the rattling sound. Looks 1000% better. Much more milspec appearance.

Cons
Post a video showing how easy to install.

How do you put the Rail on the M1 Carbine 177? How do you take off the cover.?

asked Jon from USA

I highly recommend the rail. It's better looking, tightens up the fit and much less rattling of the fore guard. 1.) remove the hand guard (see YouTube video below) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZBBzLrMyNc&list=PL9RriW3G9WX7ffaGRTdPMjkGozxwsxJ5L&index=1 2.) there are two "barrel saddles" holding the barrel to the rifle, remove the two screws from the muzzle end saddle, save the screws. 3.) insert the rail so the v-notch faces rear where the plastic fore guard sat. 4.) using the screws from the front saddle, attach the rail to the rifle using the same holes the saddle was attached with. The forward saddle is no longer needed. Resecure the fore guard strap securely. All set.

James from USA

There are screws to remove, slide the strap (holding the hand guard on) and the hand guard itself can slide off, reverse to install. See youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZBBzLrMyNc&list=PL9RriW3G9WX7ffaGRTdPMjkGozxwsxJ5L&index=1

Will this fit the Springfield Armory M1A 22 Cal Air Venturi Underlever Air Rifle?

asked John from USA

No, it is only for the AV M1 carbine.
