This Williams Diopter Sight is an "ok" entry-level option, but for just a few dollars more, there are higher-quality Williams sights available that offer better performance. If you are serious about precision, it is worth spending a little extra to upgrade to their more advanced models.

I love all the Williams products that I have, except for this specific diopter sight, which fell a bit short of my expectations. While I usually rely on the brand for high-quality, precision components, this particular unit proved to be frustrating during the usage phases. Cons: The windage adjustment is non-existent on this sight. Additionally, the unit I received, labeled as the 5D-AG, is slightly different than any of the models displayed on the official Williams website or this site, which leads me to suspect I may have received a faulty or misidentified unit or an earlier model. As other reviewers have noted, the elevation is extremely difficult to adjust, making the sight tedious to dial in. Overall, the design feels like a significant missed opportunity, and it has since been relegated to my parts bin to gather dust.

This little sight is very well made from anodized aluminum. The scales and markings are clear and well printed. The movement is good enough and the aperture is a good medium. Unless you are going to the Olympics this sight will probably meet your needs and be better than you are!

Good reliable sight if you use the same pellet weight/style all the time and are comfortable with getting it set at a specific range and then holding on the target at varying ranges to hit it dead center. Really hard to change windage and elevation accurately. No precise clicks for either settings.

Changing windage and elevation settings is a real trial and error chore. I have Williams Foolproofs on several of my hunting rifles. Really like them. But, don't like this particular model of sight on an air gun!
