Introducing the New AirForce Texan LSS. With its 34" barrel, it can hurl .45-caliber ammo as fast as 1,000 FPS at muzzle energies of up to 600 foot-pounds, AirForce reports. And, it can do it much quieter than its older, unmoderated sibling. Before this, AirForce Airguns shooters desiring the same big-bore bite as the Texan with significantly less bark often looked to the Texan SS and its Sound-Loc System technology. But, that option comes with lower velocities and muzzle energies that go along with an almost 10-inch shorter barrel.

AirForce Texan LSS Features

  • Two-stage, adjustable trigger

Be prepared to use a lot of air 5 shots from 3k psi to 2k

Pros
This gun is deadly accurate! I shoot NSA 350 grain BTHP bullets through it at 865 fps and it stacks them on top of each other at 100 yards

Cons
Out dated weaver mounts but you can get adapters to pic rails so not really a con

The gun shoots very well as I got a nine point within two weeks of receiving it. However, the gun did arrive with loose bolt in the handle (need a long Allen wrench which is not included) as well as a few other minor areas. The gun arrived with the box open which the shipping company claims that is the state it came in. Also promised free calendar of sorts was not with the order. Have called service/support with very long wait time. I finally hung up. This is not the gun I wanted as the carbon fiber would have been better but I did not know it existed because I did not know it was on the second page. Now instead of $129 more I get to pay $400+ for a carbon fiber tank valve asy. with no spring upgrade and install it myself. You would think this would have been listed at the top. It will void my warranty if I go with the better option of African Air Ordinance but I’ll get more power than the Airforce carbon fiber tank/valve. Go to Mrhollowpoint for the best ammo. His new 300 grain is what I used to harvest the buck and it is an amazing all around ammo! I contacted this company about the box being open and they didn’t seem too concerned so I guess everything is there. Do not make the mistake of piecing the optics to the gun. Buy the combo package and save yourself a lot of trouble. The tank locking screw is a pain as it constantly coming loose. Kind of a pain having the butt plate swivel on you when taking a important shot. Other than that I love this gun.

Pros
Very accurate Descent power

Cons
Came with loose pistol grip and no Allen wrench included to tighten it. Locking screw on bottle keeps working its way loose(butt plate moves when shooting) Open package Not the more powerful carbon fiber outfit Upgrading gun will void warranty

asked Brandon from USA

I just received a Texan LSS 45 I've gone over the directions many times. Pretty simple directions. I hooked it up to my new compressor the Hill 3000. It stopped the compressor. I did it again and it kept working. But it won't take the air. I tried a couple times but no luck. I got the 50 caliber dragon claw right before it and it charges just fine anybody have a clue for me

asked Arthur from USA

You have to pull the valve on the tank toward the barrel. Its a ring around the tank near the ammo port.

J Ricardo from USA

you have it cocked while charging

joe from USA

What is the correct size ammo to buy for this... is it .50 or .510cal pellets?

asked Jimmy from USA

.510

Jimmy from USA

I just ordered one and was wondering does it come with the Tex 2 valve

asked Tristan from USA

It said on my receipt that this was the moderated version and should have the tex 2

Jimmy from USA

Is the scope included? Sorry I did not find this in description

asked Brian from USA

The scope rails are dove tail.

J Ricardo from USA

Not included also may need pintanny rails

Jimmy from USA

Texan got a pretty scaveing review above. on the 50 caliber lss listed does it have the carbon tank and spring up grade he is talking about and I did not see a second page he was talking about

asked Butch from USA

can fill up the texan with a Air Venturi MK4 Kit by Hill Hand Pump, Up to 4500 PSI

asked joel from USA

Yes, but I hope you have about a week free, to do it. Seriously, those hand pumps can be a considerable work out, esp. over 3K psi. Plan on taking frequent rest breaks, between cycles of pumping, like a dozen or so. Slow, and steady, wins the race. Try to do it all at one time, and you will be too exhausted to even think about shooting, much less enjoying it.

Paul from USA

Yes. It is a lot of hard work.

Mark from USA

What grain was used to measure fps on the .50 caliber? 710 fps seems rather low, would it be able to push 800-900+ fps consistently?

asked Bryan from USA

The 50 cal was tested with 620 gr slugs. If you use lighter slugs you will get higher velocities.

Mark from USA

Hello, 2 questions, 1 Does the .50 Caliber model use standard .50 Cal muzzleloader projectiles? 2. Can compressed Nitrogen by use over air, like what is being used in car tires now? Thank you.

asked Jason from USA

We do not suggest using 50 cal muzzle loader slugs/. Airguns need slugs that are soft, pure lead. If the muzzeloader slugs are made of pure lead you can use them. Yes. You can use nitrogen in any PCP airgun.

Mark from USA

Good afternoon. In the Texan LSS in .30 caliber, what is the code under AirForce?

asked Pedro Augusto Saldarriaga from USA

will this work with the air bolts?

asked Tina

No

Josh from USA

Is this trigger any different than the Carbine? How loud is it in Db. A free app and an Iphone can tell. The 4 medium loud sound rating means NOTHING. The non-suppressed one has THE SAME RATING. Come on Air force and airgun Depot borrow an iphone and measure 10' from the muzzle and then from the shooters ear.

asked James from USA

what is the nice reduction with suppressor in DBA?

asked George

So what is it, 500 or 600 flbs of energy? Both are listed in the description of the 45 cal LSS.

asked Bob

Does this come with the new tx2 valve as of 8/27/19?

asked Jesse from USA

Is this gun available at this time. Has anyone done the 4500 super valve upgrade to this gun and if so how do you like it now

asked Steven Ednie
